Nice, clean beach. Parking this summer was $ 25 per car for nonresidents and $ 10 for residents. I hope they’re saving up for improving the amenities. Long Beach is putting them to shame. The bathrooms are straight out of the institutional 70s, filthy and half broken. There are no showers for rinsing sand off either outside or inside. Jones and LB have ‘em, and both beaches are cheaper to get on to. For the steep price of entry it would be nice if the nonresidents could at least rinse off the sand before heading home. Not too much in the way of food either. I saw an ice cream truck stop by. And there are about half a dozen rickety picnic tables in between the huge parking lot and the beach entry. If you come prepared and have nowhere to go afterwards(all sandy) it was a nice crowd on the beach and we had an enjoyable day.

It is now $ 10 to park if you are a resident of the town! Slowly inching up in prices. Not very happy about that

Pt. Lookout was a nice alternative the other beaches in the area and was less to park(and free parking after 5pm). There are a few different areas to park for accesability. There are restrooms and a small concession(think snack not lunch) and usually an ice cream truck. It is well lifeguarded and ambulance in the parking lot in case of emergency. You can not«play ball» in the sun bathing area of water… only at the top of the sand near the rest area. So leave your frisbees and footballs at home. Overall It was a good place to chill for an hour or so. We wouldnt pick this beach for a «day at the beach».
