Will never go anywhere else to buy running shoes after today. I went in fully prepared to buy a brand new pair of shoes and willing to pay $ 160. While I was explaining my running habits to one of the employees, the owner, Bob, happened to be in the store and asked me when I had purchased my current pair. He told me I wasn’t ready for new shoes and that I just needed inserts – which were only $ 50. He told me these inserts should last me my next 3 pairs of shoes… which I will be purchasing from here only! You don’t find customer service like that anymore. Bob just made a new customer for life!

I recently took up running, and after I’d been at if for a little while, I realized that I needed to get new running shoes. Finding specialty running stores in the general area was pretty tough! But A friend recommended this place to me and I was very impressed with their service. They took the time to learn my name, ask me about my running habits, measure my food and my gate, and then recommend shoes for me to try! That’s really special in a shopping experience. They even let me try them out on a treadmill they have in store!
While I ended up needing to return the shoes I purchased from them (mostly because one of my feet liked the shoes and the other foot did not), I highly recommend supporting this small business. They treat their customers well and are happy to help! Stop in and see them!

Being a rather new runner I’ve found myself frequenting the local shops as opposed to the online big box stores. The location is in downtown Libertyville and parking can be a challenge on weekends or lunch hour. But, the friendliness of the staff is well worth any wait you may have.
I was looking for a shoe that hasn’t come out yet but the salesperson was happy to take my name and number down to let me know when they’d be arriving. Great salesmanship!
I ended up buying some YakTrax for my winter running and was assisted in how they fit and went on.

I’ve been to many different stores for running shoes (runners world, roadrunners, finishline, etc) and this place had the best service by far. All of the employees have a lot of running experience and know so much about each brand, fit, material put in the shoes, etc. They even let you run on they treadmill with whatever shoes they advise you to try on. Most shoes are full price, however.

I just recently took up running, so I thought I’d stop in here for a good pair of shoes. The staff was awesome ! Courteous, professional, and took the time to ensure I had a quality running shoe. I’ll definitely be back.

If you go to this store, the employees might give you the time of day once they finish their conversations. If you need a special size like 4E, it’s a big deal. And if you need to return a pair of shoes, be prepared to be treated like a criminal. Don’t let their «go ahead and run down the street to get a feel for the shoes» fool you. They’ll get annoyed with you if you don’t like the shoes they recommend. Their service is terrible and their prices are inflated. Wait for a sale at New Balance or Dick’s instead.
