Post & Picket

Just to add to the absurdity of this woman even being in business, she sent us a bill saying she would not install the gate Walpole had agreed to give us after the President of Walpole came to our house from Massachussetts. After reinforcing that all the issues were because of Post and Picket, he offered this free item to at least try to do something nice for all the terrible workmanship and installation (see photos). They had installed gates with hardware they had SAID was from Walpole BUT WAS NOT, as confirmed by Walpole’s president. She had bought a cheaper set after showing me pictures FROM WALPOLE, and then used cheaper set on two Walpole gates, not to mention installing it BACKWARDS. The gate had been taken off because they had chipped it. She said she wouldn’t install the new one (which was NO CHARGE from Walpole!) unless we paid her $ 3400 we «owed» her! What a joke; on top of being a pathetic installer, she’s also a pathetic business manager. She might want to take a look at previous invoices she had sent, showing we owed no more than $ 1800 off a $ 30,000 invoice. Every time I got something from her it was a different amount.
Lastly, beware of companies who use Post and Picket as a subcontractor; if you ask a landscape company to put in a fence.beware. We have the list and will post those too.

Amy at Post & Picket put in a fence for us ~7yrs ago. It looked really nice. I’m posting this now because we paid extra to have the posts dug & cemented to 48″ deep. We had 5 posts start to heave. When Athanas Fence (5 big huge stars) dug them out, each one was 30″ deep & had a lot of dirt backfill and a much smaller amount of cement. It’s costing us $ 1,300 & we now know to expect that more will need to be replaced. She seemed so nice & attentive. But, obviously just sucked us in.
