I find it funny most the reviews for this location are mangers from other locations or the stores district managers claiming the store has changed blah blah the pics of beds in the store aren’t even the real pics place is dirty they only clean the days of when they are getting there store walked and the manager is always drunk

I am not that impressed with the spray tan unless you are going out somewhere special and want to not be so pale. I guess if your against uv your ok but I looovvee the beds here! The manager is a very nice man also. He answered my questions and was very helpful. I recommend this salon.

This place trys to rip you off on everything. The girl at the front desk was unaware that the face portion of the bed turned off and told me to put a towel on my face. Lol. Really? They also charge for eye protection. I won’t be coming back here.. The LA Tan in Northbrook is much better.

Disappointing …
I usually get along with the staff but last night was different, this new girl has no idea how to pull up my name till I suggested putting my birthday in. I usually go in to use level 3 stand ups, I got send to ROOM 4. WROST ROOM TO USE, it never got hot all I felt was the fans. Waste of money and disappointing service. So much for the new management.

Since new management has taken over, things have really really improved. So much is being changed and the staff really cares about this place, they are so friendly and will really take the time to help you on a great package and the right lotion to fit your tanning needs.
I really enjoy coming here again versus the last management (: definitely come check them out and see what they are all about!

Dirty. I feel defiled just walking in there. There is a huge crowd on Tuesday nights so be prepared to stand around, really close to people while you wait. The girl «cleaning» the area was using a spray bottle and a filthy looking old rag. (No paper towels?..)The staff is rude. The «robes» in the rooms are scruffy and dirty. The complimentary sun block lotion in the rooms was empty, so people had opened up the bottle and apparently had been sticking their hands in to get some off of the pump.

It’s like a whole new atmosphere! New owners, new staff, new beds, new spray booth! Everyone is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and the place looks amazing!
If you had bad experience from the past staff… I suggest coming back to see the complete 180 degree change In this place!

I love the new staff. Angela and Emily are the sweetest. I’ve never had a bad experience at this location. The beds are always clean and I’ve never seen anything out of place. I love this place and the staff.

NEW OWNERS AND STAFF!!!
So much nicer and friendlier than the old staff. The place is under new ownership and management! Stopped in there twice in the last two weeks and the new staff members are AMAZING. SO MUCH BETTER THAN IT WAS. I left here a few months ago because I was tired of the old staff. Much better now. If you stopped coming here, I highly suggest going back!

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this place. Maybe they have new people working here but on my visit before vacation the staff was very friendly and helpful. I got super dark from the level 3 bed! Looked great for my cruise!!!

I guess they don’t like business.
I came in here on a Thursday night with my mom looking to get two tanning packages. I wanted to do a versa/​cocktail package. I was asking about the $ 100 a month package and the girl at the desk was very rude. Seemed very annoyed that I was even asking any questions. My mom was also wanting to sign up for a package so we were asking if they had an specials or deals for the month. She continued to give attitude and seemed very annoyed. She was also very burned and red on her face so for being the front desk on a tanning salon you should be properly tanned.
I ended up going to xsport and signing up for tanning. They are so nice there.
It is sad because I have heard wonderful things about the round lake location.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Oh, the best part is I called and spoke to a manager the next day and she just said she will speak to the girl. Did not apologize at all.

I’ve worked at tanning salons before, and I’ve visited more than I’m proud of. This particular store does not have very nice staff members. I went in here to purchase my first package wtih LA Tan, and I will not be buying anything else once this package expires. The girl working the front desk was very rude, offered me no information and had absolutely zero personality. I went back the second day and a different girl was working… same thing… I realize they were probably trying to act cool in front of the guy that was «chillin» in the chair, but you are getting paid to be there… so maybe you should actually try WORKING.

The only good thing about LA Tan is $ 5 Tuesday’s. I would never pay full price for a tan here. The beds are OKAY. They’ll do the job but they’re old, usually have at least one bulb burnt out and the level 3 lay down is EXTREMELY HOT.
The mystic tan here has alot to be desired as well. The staff is never overly helpful with the spray tanning process. Also, the mystic tan machine is very old and outdated.
The atmosphere has alot to be desired. The place is dark and dreary with typical tacky tanning posters all around. Don’t expect anything to be too clean when you go either.
