A grocery store liquor store getting 5 stars. whaaaaattt!!! Yep you got it. Man this place is spot on! I am a craft beer junkie and living in the Liberty area can make things difficult to get my hands on at times. However, this isn’t the case with this Hyvee. They always have or get EVERYTHING I want to get my hands on. They have an email list that notifies me every time they get a new shipment of beer in and what was in that shipment. Seriously, this is absolute genius. They have the option to let you reserve special beers or spirits so that you aren’t left out when the hard to find stuff comes in. The layout is not cluttered, it’s clean, and it’s easy to navigate. Seriously, I can’t imagine even stepping foot into another liquor store in the Liberty area. Thanks Hyvee. You’re awesome!

Dedicated parking right in front, easy in and out with a door separate from the attached grocery store sets the stage for an actual liquor store experience instead of a few isles in a grocery store. It’s called HyVee Wine & Spirits but they have a walk in beer cooler that should get some mention in the name for beer people. If they lack in any area, it’s probably most noticable in the spirit category. They’ll have your Knobs and Bookers, your Glenfiddich and your Glenlivets but they’ll be a little late on the special editions. The selection of beer wine and spirits is better than your average grocery store but not as great as your better than average liquor store and the knowledge level of the staff for the most part doesn’t extend beyond being able to scan your purchase and take your money. I’m not digging on them but if you need a concierge service, you’re better off at a liquor store.
