A wonderful oasis in a veritable desert of epicurean delights. Owned and operated by Ellen and Lou, they serve some of the best baked goods I’ve ever eaten(crumb cake is a must), not to mention the chicken salad as well as robust and friendly conversation with a smile. A Catskills must go.

This is our second time here. The first was just picking up a few pastries and we didn’t sit down. Today, we has a late breakfast and it was amazing! I had a sausage and egg sandwich on a garlic bagel and my boyfriend had a ham, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. We shared an apple crisp with real whipped cream. When we ordered it, Ellen(one of the owners) asked if we wanted it warmed and if we wanted whipped cream. Both Ellen and Louie are super friendly and helpful. The food is great and fresh. Everything is homemade with the exception of cooler drinks.

So awesome. Great food, great atmosphere. Homemade items. In an area where there are few good eateries that even try, they excel at awesome!

Been meaning to go to this cool looking bakery/snack shop for a while, and finally made it there! The owners Ellen and Louie are warm, great people and the food was outstanding. I had a breakfast wrap with eggs, bacon, spinach, and cheddar. I’m a huge breakfast guy and this wrap was the best I’ve had… Then I had the fresh zucchini walnut bread. It was so good I may dream about it tonight. I’m definitely going back, possibly later today… I’m hooked. Ps– the décor is very cool. It would be a great place to have a fresh cup of coffee, order something to eat from the bakery and read the paper or chat with friends. I have a «favorites list» when I come to this area and this is ranked at the top!

Just like all the other reviews. Ours is the same. Great food, great atmosphere, and great people to serve you. We took and early morning motorcycle ride to find this great place to eat. We had breakfast sandwiches and bakery items and all was great. We’ll be back again!

We were driving home from Binghamton NY to Long Island and we’re looking for an off the beaten path place for lunch along Route 17. Once again, Unilocal pointed us in the direction of a charming and delicious café/bakery in Liberty, NY. Small, great photos of movie and rock stars adorned the walls. Serving breakfast and also the lunch menu which was small but varied… We had the chicken soup, chock full of meat and veggies in a perfect broth that was not too salty, which is more than often the case. I hate too much salt in my food. Lee had a heart bowl of Lentil soup, each was a mere 3.95. We both had the BB salad… Romaine tossed w walnuts, grilled chic, cranberries, carrots in a very delicious and different dressing… just the right size and 7 bucks. While we were there, a local metal sculpted was there with friends ready to put the finishing paint touches on some of his fantastic creations… Shout out to !!! We took home some great baked goods for the kids. A great find, sure beats one of the Rt.17 diners !!

Quick stop for lunch right off 17. Funky welcoming spot with local flavor. Eclectically decorated, nice background music. Today’s soup lentil was so homey and nuanced, sad to see the bottom of the bowl… Salad with balsamic chicken fresh and dressed beautifully with house dressing. Shout out to Zac Max( ) whose sculptures we were admiring when we learned our fellow diner was the artist himself who was just about to put a new coat of paint on his works!

On a get away weekend my boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal when looking for a place to have breakfast. This place has such great reviews and there isn’t much around so we decided to give it a shot. The street on which the quaint little place is located looks abandoned. Maybe it’s an off season but it was the only welcoming place on the block. We walked in and were surprised to see New York style memorabilia all over the walls. There were some locals sitting around having their breakfast and a woman behind the counter taking orders and serving. It felt homey and welcoming. My boyfriend ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and I ordered butter on an everything bagel. His sandwich was reported to be good and my bagel was delicious! I have had my fair share of bagels and in my opinion this place is giving my favorite spot a run for their money. The inside was chewy and the outside perfectly toasted. I thoroughly enjoyed it! We happened to get a German chocolate cup cake and some banana bread to go and weren’t surprised to find that those were delicious as well. The seating was a bit crowded but other than that a really lovely place.

I’m from Liberty and make sure I stop in here EVERY single time I am home. The owners are beyond friendly & helpful, and obviously the food is second to none. I now live in VA and if I happen to come to Liberty without my wife(it has happened once or twice!) and forget to bring back a piece of carrot cake for her, I honestly think she will make me travel all the way back to NY just to get her a piece! I have not had EVERYTHING on the menu, but I’ve certainly explored and to say that I’ve never been let down is an understatement. Every bite, from every piece of food I’ve had in here has been phenomenal!

This place still makes my list of favorite spots on earth. I don’t know why I haven’t mentioned this already, but the hazelnut coffee is truly excellent and I suggest pairing it with an apple turnover. For more substantial breakfast fare, go for a bacon, egg and cheese on croissant. Everything here is delicious, but that sandwich is TDF.

We happened upon this bakery by luck at the start of our cross country journey, and we are so happy we did. The veggie breakfast burrito I ordered was perfect, and the bacon, egg and cheese bagel was excellent — bacon was thick with just the right amount of crispness. On top of this, we got to know the owners, learning about the history of the building and got tips on local places to visit.

I love this bakery in town. Their cinnamon buns are to die for and the owners always seem to brighten my day.

Not bad little diner, but was literally all we could find for breakfast(that took visa) around. The lady who took our order(pretty sure she owned the place) was kind of cold when we came in, but she started to warm up as people started filing in. Maybe she just woke up. The croissant rolls for our sandwiches where really good, but the fillings in the breakfast sandwiches was kind of miserly. Pancakes were average at best. I had a glazed doughnut because they looked really good, but it was actually pretty disappointing with a weird beefy flavor. We picked up some peanut butter bars and a carrot cake for a snack later and they are good, but not awesome. The coffee was really good. Funny note — if you are a «summer person from new york city», be prepared for some local making comments about you. It sounded like the owner lady wasn’t too pleased about the comments either but was kind of aggravating none the less. Not to be a jerk, but I’m guessing a lot of the 5 stars on Unilocal are from locals with no other choices.

Stopped in here with my parents and wife on a weekend on our way to a wedding. I was hungry, tired and in a terrible mood. By the time I left all of those things had been handled expertly. They make wonderful sandwiches and are super friendly people. I would drive through Liberty just to stop in and say hi… AND put delicious things in my face-hole!

My friend and I were staying at a yoga retreat and we were dying for coffee. Thank you, Unilocalers, for putting this bakery on the map. Floyd & Bobo’s was the closest place to get some caffeine(not counting gas stations and the Dunkin Donuts). It’s a cute little place with outdoor seating and whimsical metal sculpture décor. Around 1 pm there weren’t so many baked goodies left, but the turnovers and the croissants were nice and the coffee was decent. The savory goodies looked better than the sweets, actually. Nice place.

Off the beaten path — 5 stars! Ok. I know. 5 stars for a small place that does breakfast sandwiches and lunch. I get that that’s a little odd. But the food is terrific and way beyond expectations. While I decided to try this place because of the great reviews on Unilocal,I’ve passed by and can’t believe I did not try it sooner. It’s right off Route 17 in Liberty, NY. This place beats Roscoe Diner by a mile, on many levels, mostly ambiance and quality though. Outside they have a seating area which they have marked off with terrific flowers and other decorations. It’s really terrific to see in a town lacking in color and frankly effort on most store owners parts. You can see this place from blocks away because of the explosion of color from the flowers and various other small decorations that surround the small outside seating area. Inside are perhaps 6 tables. You go to the counter to order food. The breakfast menu is on the wall, breakfast sandwiches mostly(egg and cheese etc.), bagels are there for the picking etc. Lunch is on a piece of paper on the counter, I believe it changes daily. I’m guessing largely based on what was available fresh at the store or market. I’ve seen chicken salad, greens salad, various sandwiches etc. Each order is prepared at that time, so, you may wait a moment if you walk in behind someone else. I don’t know if the owners are Floyd and Bobo, or if those are the owners cats, dogs, parakeets etc. I have not gotten to know. But it does seem to be owned by a couple, who work and do the cooking and baking. I have really only had«food» here, desert only once, although they do a brisk business dessert wise, and those cookies do look darn good. I have had their salad, one was a chicken salad which I’d like to try to replicate. So good. I was really surprised when I opened it(I did takeout that time). It had currents, walnuts, carrots, chicken in some sort of dressing, salad(not iceberg, but real romaine). Anyway, its called the F&B salad, and I love it. I’ve been back for it. I had a breakfast sandwich there another time, also really good. The bacon tastes local and you can tell its really good. Once I picked up cupcakes there, red velvet that day, and they were good. But I go back for the food, not the desserts. The prices are stunningly low. I’m sure they want to be affordable to all the area residents, and its a poorer county. But they serve good, healthy, real food at low prices in a really nice environment. Cant be beat. Stars 4 and 5 are for the quality of the food and the ambiance they are creating in this depressed town in Southern NYS. Nice to review such a nice local small town spot.

My boyfriend was working in Liberty and the kids and I were wandering around the town looking for a neat place to hang out for a little while. Viewing it from the street, we already knew it was our kind of place. Ellen and Louie were very hospitable and the food was very good. We went there 3 times during our short trip. After talking to them for a few minutes, you could tell they really cared about the community they serve, and that’s the kind of place I always want to spend my money! PS– Their Floyd & Bobo’s pasta sauce is amazing too!

Looking for Wi FI in Liberty, we stumbled upon Floyd and BoBo’s, and are glad we did. This is urban homesteading at it’s best, blending long term residents with new arrivals within a frame of good food, good prices and grace. Liberty isn’t a yuppified town, lot’s of visible proof of the last recession/depression, many empty storefronts. And then there is Floyd and Bobo’s, a beacon of hope. Very impressive,(and check out their pasta sauce.)
