I stopped in on a Friday and that is a great day to go! The catfish were fried perfectly and enough sides to make you need a nap. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I had an overall great experience and will be back soon!

In town for work visiting one of my offices came across this place on Unilocal thought I would give it a try. Fried chicken taste just like my grandmas wow very good food and even better Sweet Tea and great family service. You have to try this place

I feel honored to be the first person to write a review on Cookie’s. I was driving from a meeting I had in a small town in east Texas to Houston and I started seeing signs for Cookies. When I saw the buidling I knew I had to stop. This place is the epitome of what I imagine soul food to be. The food on the $ 9.50 all you can eat buffet was fantastic and the banana pudding was some of the best I’ve ever had. Seeing that I was in a business suit, it was obvious that I wasn’t from around there, yet the staff was extremely friendly. The next time I drive through Ames, TX I’m definitley stopping at Cookies!
