Publix Super Markets

Bakery items are wonderful. Grabbed a couple prepared items one being a avocado spring roll wrap. Although it looked good it was dry on the inside I went early afternoon so I’d assume it was made the day prior… in a positive note my husband liked his sandwich from the deli.

Very small publix with limited selection in items. Deli is a nightmare, never seen people move that slow. I avoid that if possible, worth driving further to the publix on Atlantic. Basically only run in here if I need an item or 2. That is snout all its good for. Nowhere near as nice and friendly as the surrounding publix are. I only go here on occasion because it’s the closest publix to my house, and only if I need a few items. Otherwise, I suggest going somewhere else.

What can I say it’s south Florida? So customer service is noticeably better than its competitors. However the store is small, parking is horrific, and long lines always await you at pharmacy, and Deli. Even if you «easy online order «chances are greater your food will NOT be ready.

They are tiny, I have gone there 4 times over 3 weeks for Starbucks coffee and they never have it. I dunno what the deal is. Very weird little Publix.

Worst produce, you have to be lucky to get any organic Romaine lettuce or good tomatoes! Seems that they are often out of stuff but when you ask management they say that LHP store not a main one like Deerfield store. So I guess then it doesn’t matter, what a joke!

Friendly faces and great service! Always been helped if I ask for assistance in finding something! Great way to save as well bye using online coupons just hit clip, pull up to register and enter phone number and discounts took of bill right away! Love it and great deli too!

Been to 4 Publix (Delray, Hillboro, Pompano, & Lighthouse). Have had a good experience in all of them. All well lit & clean. Workers approachable & helpful. I hope all these good points never change in this chain!

The guy in the deli section stepped up to the plate to make me happy. I Needed a 4 piece fried chicken drumstick special and they were out of drumsticks in the display case. He broke open two 8 piece pre-​boxed specials to pull out 4 drumsticks for me. Very nice. That’s great service,

This location is always crowded and severely under staffed. The check out lines and deli lines are always extensively packed without enough registers open or employees to assist.
When you do finally get to an employee they’re very nice, cheerful and helpful. But waiting 30 minutes for a sub when there’s only 3 people in front of you can be a tad frustrating.
Don’t come here of you’re in a rush and inpatient like me.

When I found this Publix branch I immediately stopped shopping with their local competitor!!! Their produce is fresh and their meats flavorful!

All Publix super markets are not alike and neither are their staff of employees nor the patrons using them. This particular Publix is not only nicely laid out but has a far more friendly staff and what is a real big plus for me is that the shelf stockers instead of parking everything right smack in the middle of the aisles blocking everything off, tend manage their work by keeping their boxes and carts to the side.
The patrons also tend to be of a better caliber than found in most Publix, being polite, friendly, and talkative without any of that aggressive pushiness about them as is so common to most other locations.
Every time I’ve been here the checkout lines have seemed less lengthy and another good point is that it’s location within the strip mall is convenient for other shopping needs.

Very impressed with the management here. Brian was extremely helpful and friendly. I asked for an item that it turns out they do not carry, so he told me where in the area I would be most likely to find it.

Its Publix. Its the closest to me so I go here. Its a decent size store and seems to be pretty good in most of there selections.

I love this Publix. This is the one closest to me (although there is another one in south Lighthouse Point, but that one is awful).
The layout of the store is very easy to get used to, so I don’t waste a lot of time searching for things. On the occasions I’ve had to ask for help, the staff has always been friendly and has gone out of the way to find whatever it is I’m looking for. The only time I’ve seen them run out of items is before a hurricane — otherwise, the selection is great. The aisles are nice and big, so you won’t have a problem passing around other carts (which is more of a problem at the other LHP Publix).
The deli can get rather crowded, but the wait isn’t terrible. It’s one of the few delis I’ve gone to that has Lebanon bologna, which I love. And they’ve even made fresh popcorn chicken for my mom when they had run out.
The fruits and veggies section is usually well-​stocked, although their selection of grapes has gotten progressively worse lately. My only problem is that they occasionally don’t stock Florida Natural grapefruit juice, which is far and away my favorite kind.
The lines here usually aren’t bad, except right before holidays (or hurricanes). Do your absolute best to avoid this place the day before Thanksgiving — it’s a nightmare. If you only have one or two items and are stuck in a ridiculous line at the express checkout, skip the line entirely and go to the customer service desk. I’ve done that a few times and it was never a problem. Then again, I would buy a scratch-​off lotto ticket at the same time so I appeared to have a reason to be there :) Also, the customer service desk is great about returns. All too often my dad has not worn his glasses when shopping and has bought the wrong item, so I’m the one stuck returning it. They never even ask for the receipt. It’s quick and painless.

My home Publix. It’s actually one of two within a 15 or so block range, but the other one is a much smaller Publix, originally was going to be gourmet or one of their green ones, but it just became a small one instead.
That said, with this being my celebratory 100^th review, let’s get to the reviewing of this one. It’s gone under a cosmetic renovation inside and looks nice. They always have a solid selection and keep their stock up well. They have chosen to pass along the huge price increases for beef, but I buy my meat at restaurant depot or costco anyway, so no biggie. Overall, their prices are good and their Publix brands are generally solid in comparison to the name brands.
Service is good here, but not exceptional. In house pharmacy is pretty quick and many infant & toddler prescriptions are free, which kicks ass.
There are times when this place will drive you berserk due to the crowds, but that’s more a function of the idiotsticks shopping as opposed to the layout, which is nice. Just pick your times wisely.
