I’ve thoroughly appreciated Vivint. I have the most inclusive system and I feel thst my home and I are adequately protected. There is little delay between the alarm being tripped and the call to local police being made. This is a huge deal to me, as it should be to anyone. I also love that I can monitor the system via my cell phone, including locking and unlocking doors and turning off/on lights. The front door lock has been replaced once, but the tech was quick and efficient. Customer service is professional and helpful anytime I call. The only problem I’ve had with them is that a credit card on file had expired and I called to update them. They tried to bill the expired card the next month anyway. One phone call corrected the issue. Also, ask what discounts they have available. I pay about $ 50 monthly.

This company offers alarm systems with home automation available as an add on. We have had our system for a little over 8 months, and had to have them out to service the system 6 times so far. We had their top system SKY installed. With most of the options. While it does function as an alarm system, the automation part has had issues. Our thermostats have changed the temp in the house on their own at times. And the sensors installed in the doors keep popping out. The system fails to up date itself as promised, and the front door lock had to be replaced. The phone app does function as promised, and it does allow mobile control of the system. Even though this system runs off cellular which is included, it does require a wireless internet in your home for some functions. Overall the rating is fair, and the customer service has been ok. Some of our problems were created by the installer, while very nice, did not use the proper technics for installing the sensors. You will have to commit to a long service contract, but no upfront charge for equipment. Monthly charge is about normal for this type of service. We pay $ 70 per month.
