Hey, medical geniuses. when you state on your website that you close at 9:00 pm and it says on your sign that you close at 9:00… Maybe you should close at 9:00, not 8:30. I bring my daughter(in pain) to your clinic at 8:40 and I’m informed that you take your last patient at 8:30. I mention this isn’t what your website says, and your front desk person stares at me blankly? Congrats. Good hire. I hope that next time you’re starving and in the drive-thru line at Taco Bell, 20-minutes before they close, that they tell you they served their last enchi-tostada-rito 10 minutes ago.

No one likes going to urgent care. But as a Florida transplant without a local PCP, and a health issue I didn’t think warranted wasting the ER’s time, I turned to Urgent Care of Kentucky Finding an urgent care, firstly, was more difficult than I thought it would be(they are on every corner in Orlando, where I’m from) but the facility was clean, though noticeably an older building. Check in was easier than you could imagine(staff gives you a tablet for all forms AND your copay processing) and I saw a nurse practictioner very quickly. The nurse who drew the recommended bloodwork was also extremely personable and pleasant despite my disdain of needles. The only reason I can’t give them 5 full stars is that the labs they ran should not have taken a full week to get me results and I actually needed a follow up visit to the ER as their labs sent out showed an actual infection not present in initial in office results and an extremely high WBC count. I don’t count the latter as entirely their fault though, as a medication I am on can fluctuate labs. I do think the turnaround in communication should have been quicker however. The in office service was still above par and I’d highly recommend this location and it’s staff for minor illnesses, infections and other non-emergency issues.
