My husband and I frequent Sweetwater in Ann Arbor and we were sadly disappointed in our visit to the Lexington location. Service was non-existent, very uninformed when finally arrived, and the food very slow and boring. We waited over 10 minutes for our tab, after letting the hostess and server know that we had show tickets. When we paid our bill, waiter never returned with our change. When we finally flagged him down, he assumed that the change from two twenties on a $ 30.68 tab was his to keep. Will not return.

Food is good but really upsetting to see that this place is still using plastic wear. I’d give 4 stars if the place would switch to ceramic/glass and stop trashing the environment. The restaurant could probably save itself some money by switching over as well.

I ran across Sweetwater’s Café and Bakery(adjoining the bar and restaurant) by chance and thoroughly enjoyed their Café Caramel(basically a caramel latte using caramel sauce instead of syrup, topped w whipped cream and more caramel) as well as their delectable peanut butter cup cookies. The baristas are friendly, the coffee is great, and I went there every day I was in town. Highly recommended!

Our server, George was great. He was very friendly and efficient. He brought us our drinks and food quickly. I had The Cali sandwich. It was delicious. The only reason I am not giving more stars was due to how we were greeted. We stood for very long time at the hostess stand without being acknowledged. Servers walked back and forth and never made eye contact. The young hostess girl who eventually came to take our names had the bored air of teenage angst exuding from her in great waves. She never made eye contact, never smiled and was not friendly in the least. Management needs to teach her some social skills. We were very close to leaving before she finally came over and took our names.

Delicious food but the paper plates, cups and plastic utensils are ridiculous. For the price of a sandwich, they could do better.

In town to visit a friend and check out the fine arts fair. We stopped in for a late lunch and it was very tasty. Their menu is simple with some salads, sandwiches, quiches and pizza. I opted for the Cali Sandwich which was loaded with turkey, havarti, sliced green apples, lettuce and a honey mustard sauce on pumpernickel. It was super tasty. My friend had the strawberry fields salad which she said was delicious and looked great. The interior is cute and they have a full bar and both indoor and outdoor seating. Attached next door to a cute little coffee shop that sells some yummy looking pastries and homemade breads. Earlier in the day I had an iced coffee which was also great.

The salads and soups are wonderful but the best thing here are the pizzas. We come here every summer and a highlight is always going into town for this pizza — delicious!

We have had the pizza here a few times. It is excellent! Very fresh not greasy. We will drive up for Chesterfield to get this pizza. The service is the only reason I don’t give it 5 stars. We wanted to eat outside on the cute patio but we were told they had no waitstaff. This is the middle of summer maybe hire some more people. This last time I got pizza carry out. It was excellent as usual. One of the pizzas was the Wrong kind but we still liked it and it got us to try something different :)

Land fills are filling up all over the place and the owners of Sweetwater have the gull to serve every single person plastic cups, plastic cutlery and plastic plates then just throw them in the trash when you’re done. Shame on them. Don’t be so lazy and cheap, pay some staff to wash your dishes and help save the environment a bit.

Sat at the bar, bar tender was fantastic. Info on beer, some samples to decide. Comfortable. Had margarita pizza, turkey rueben, and strawberry salad. Very tasty. Will return when back in Lexington.

It is very overrated here. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food is mediocre.. I have not wanted to go back because when I got my food it was served on plastic plates with plastic silverware. my wine was also in a plastic cup.

Disappointed. Had the tomato mozzarella basil sandwich last year and it was a thick mozzarella and lots of basil. Just had it again and it was thin cheese. Mostly tomato and lettuce and covered in dressing. FLAVORLESS. the cheese and basil are the flavor — don’t skimp. This was such a disappointment because it was so tasty a year ago. Went from 5 stars to 1. Giving a 3 to be balanced from both times here.

My wife and I visited this place while spending a weekend in the area. We happened upon it accidentally. It’s a really nice location. The building is wonderful and modern. The menu is pretty small and basically offers mostly sandwiches so I had a turkey reuben. The turkey they use is really tasty, and so was the bread. However, the russian dressing was pretty nasty. The servers are mostly young kids, however ours did a fine job and we were happy. This is not really the kind of place you would go for dinner, but it’s fine for a quick lunch.

Word has it Sweetwater Gourmet Deli & Bar will be opening the middle of April. I can’t wait to get my mouth on the best pizza I’ve ever tasted… anywhere! The sandwitches are incredible, as well as the fresh salads and homemade soups. The restaurant sits just off Lake Huron, and the marina with a great view of the lake. Outside seating on those warm summer days, full wait service, and a full bar to quench your thrist! The old school, reclaimed brick building is beautiful and includes a great bakery, theatre, and soon to come sports bar. Everything you need for a great weekend in Lexington, is all in one place! Don’t miss out… FIVESTARS for sure!

Walked in and the woman behind the podium just stared at me… I told her 6 adults and 1 baby were in our party so she said she had to put some tables together –fine. The restaurant was about half full didn’t look that busy but she said it was a 20 min wait? For what? A server ? We sat down and literally no one even came over to acknowledge us. We didn’t even get waters. A hostess came over to the table sitting next to us and proceeded to take their drink order and when they asked to place their food order the girls response was«no, I can’t take your order I’m just the hostess and we are out of waitresses.» Really? OUT of waitresses. hmmmmm We got up and left without an apology on our way out
