My daughter has been on a Chinese kick lately and we decided to eat in at this little place in Tates Creek Center. It’s small inside maybe about 4 or 5 tables. It’s mainly a take out establishment. Prices are in line with most others in town. The staff was friendly and they had a good health score and that’s always a plus! They had pictures of all Of the dishes on the wall so that’s helpful for those who may not know what they are ordering! Since they don’t deliver I’m not sure how often we will come back since Chinese seems to be our comfort Delivery food. :-)

Pretty average Chinese. Skip the soup or anything fried here. Tastes like reheated frozen/fried food from Sodexho. The lo mein is pretty good though.

This place is awesome!!! I was looking for a place that was open on Christmas to get something to eat and found it by chance. I’m so glad I did! The staff was very friendly and nice(excellent service). Just to let you know, this place is best for carryout and isn’t really a sit down restaurant. The food was really good and was ready in less than 10 minutes; I got General Tso’s Chicken. If you’re in the mood for fast Chinese food, I would highly recommend Shanghai Bistro!

My favorite Chinese takeout in town. The staff is super friendly and always gets the order right. They insisted on staying open past close one night for me when I called in for a to go order 5 minutes after they closed!

I drive across town to go to this specific Shanghai Bistro! I always get the General Tso Tofu and I’m never disappointed, and the woman at the register is the best! So warm and welcoming, and she always remembers our order!

Let’s start with this – this is Chinese take-out. The food is good, fast, hot and in a large quantity for very cheap. The menu is large and varied. Their«American“menu is good(again by fast food standards), and they have fried scallops. I appreciate that I do not get a ton of chopped celery and carrots in every dish, which happens a lot in Chinese take-out. The staff is very friendly.

This is about as good as it gets for fast food Chinese. Don’t expect anything too fancy, and you’re in for a good meal.

Decent food. Can be a bit hit and miss. Got some take out today– egg drop soup for my cold. Zero seasoning. Yeah, it seems stupid, but I really couldn’t eat that much of it. Ended up falling asleep, reheated and seasoned myself. Something as easy and common as egg drop, used to think it couldn’t be mucked up. Ah well. Staff is really nice– extra star for them. Ambience is standard strip mall Chinese joint. Drinks are cans and bottles Coke and Pepsi product in a couple different coolers.

So I went to this place today because it was the nearest restaurant to me, as I was looking to burn time, before my meeting with a hiring manager. It is located right next to the Kroger, for all those that have not yet been there. Anywho, I get in and there is all ready a gentleman at the counter, picking his food and getting charged for it. Here I am second in line just looking around at what to buy… Then as soon as I see something, there is a sudden«HI!» O_O…it was the lady at the counter. I was frozen because the guy before me had to finish with his ordering. I said to myself«Lady, please wait; I am waiting my turn to tell you my order and then for you to charge me for it.» Then the guy leaves for his order to be ready. Then I go, I hesitantly look around«Hmmm…decisions.decisions» Then I see it. «Can I please have the Singaporean Fun Mein?» So I order it and from the time I order and she bills me, she asks if I want to get a drink. I decided not to. They have both Coca Cola and Pepsi products. O_O Anywho, minutes pass, the meal is ready. Her and I chat and she asks me about where I am from. Then the meal is ready and the cook just hands it to me. All in all, the noodles were great but I think they were steamed a bit too much. I asked if they ever served duck and to my dismay, they do not :’(. The gal was pretty awesome to ask me how it was and really seemed like she cared. Probably the best customer service I have received from a Chinese restaurant. For the food, I would give it a 3-star, but the customer service gives them the game changer. Edit: For the review that says they speak poor English. «HEY, LEARNTOSPEAKCHINESEIFYOUCANNOTUNDERSTANDTHEIRENGLISH. ITWASYOURCHOICETOGOTOTHEIRRESTAURANT.» RESTAURANTFIRST, COUNTRYSECOND! KAPISH?!

Sure there’s your standard Chinese Fare but we all have those places you go for one or two items and that’s it… well this is my place for Mei Fun. What is Mei Fun?! Thin rice noodles with vegetables. You can get them with chicken, shrimp, beef… you get the idea. Need a little more spice in your life? Get them Singapore Style. It’s a great mild curry that gives you tons of flavor with just a touch of bite. Seating isn’t fancy but I’m okay with that. Keeping the over-head low so you can keep prices affordable equals a bonus in my book.

Food is phenomenal! Price is inexpensive. They are quick. Even served dine in food inside of a box knowing most guest won’t eat the entire meal. Only reason I’m giving a 4 is that the employees speak poor English and couldn’t adequately answer my questions. Otherwise they’d be a 5.

Even though I ordered takeout, I find it difficult not to also include the store itself. I’m assuming they didn’t really care about the store front when they moved in here because the atmosphere is very cold, the tables were dirty and the service itself poor. As for the food, I ordered the garlic shrimp and received my food in good time. I was disappointed once I got home. It only had three shrimp with the rest vegetables. The sauce was flavorful, but that is the only good thing I can say about the meal. Very disappointed.

Mediocre Chinese food. Service can be quite slow at times, so don’t be in a rush to get food. They take call-in orders, so that helps. The lunch special is a good deal. Convenient location with ample parking.

Quick Chinese food that seems very fresh and healthy. Clean & modern with very friendly staff. Very reasonable lunch prices with a large selection of meats, vegetables, egg rolls, soups, salads, etc. Haven’t tried much there yet but the beef lo mein and the orange peeled beef, yum!

I have travelled all over the world, even stayed in Hong Kong, and the chinese food served here is some of the best. It is run by a nice young couple from China, she runs the register and he cooks. The food is excellent, and our order came very fast. Very fresh, well spiced, and not at all greasy, with large portions for a decent price. Not cheap, but not expensive either, for what you get. The décor is very classy too, not your typical chinese restaurant kitch. If I lived in Lexington, I would eat here at least once a week. The food is not ONLY chinese, also Pad Thai, and a very good curry vegetables and chicken. Not indian curry, but asian, with ginger and red pepper. I loved it.

One of the best Chinese places in Lexington. I have had several different things here and they never disappoint. Better than many of the nice dine-in places around town. Staff is always friendly too!

A «typical» Chinese restaurant. Serves basically the same fare as most Chinese eateries in town. However, the food here is not as heavy with grease and their egg rolls are better than most Chinese eateries.
