I pop in here every so often to by loose tea or a cup for a gift. Otherwise I drink my tea at my desk at work down the street. However. there is always a fullhouse and a good vibe. The baristas are not frantic and they always have a little try me sample out of something it seems. The tea pots and cups and tea is always stocked or they will go get you a new one if you take the last one. I like it.

The people who work here are amazing. So kind, thoughtful, down to earth. I didn’t think it was possible to bring a sense of community to a chain coffee place, but they have and do on a daily basis. The coffee is outstanding, so that part is easy. But the folks who work here really put this place over the top.

Great crew at Peets in Lexington. Happy to see another Peets coffee in the suburbs in the Boston Area.

I came in for a coffee, not an argument. I asked for an iced coffee, but the barista made it hot. When I gently pointed out that I had asked for an iced coffee, he rolled his eyes, shook his head like a two year old and said, «Nooooo you didn’t.» «Yes, I did.» He begrudgingly remade the coffee. The mistake was no big deal, but I really don’t appreciate being argued with simply because he did not hear me say the word«iced,» and the cashier didn’t specify«iced» on my ticket either. Thanks for the terrible customer service.

it’s a nice place with nice people, though they tend to have new employees alot who don’t really know how to make lattes or the more sophisticated drinks. I got the latte, and it was espresso with hot milk. the milk wasn’t steamed or even that hot. it was pretty bad. i felt bad going back to them cus it was a little girl making it. and she was the only barista there. though i’ve had good lattes there before in the summer — coconut lattes. gotta see who’s making it. a hit or a miss.

Wow, this place has gone downhill! I used to come here a lot when I worked in the area and it was great. Today I walked in and ordered a latte and got a luke warm cup of foam. So I asked for a redo with much less foam and hot this time. She starts to make it and needs the large skimmer spoon to block the foam while she pours in the milk. Hmmmmm… not in the steel canister with the other spoons… there it is! Sitting on the counter in a puddle of something. I let it slide, grab my drink and walk out. Took one sip and spit it out. Whatever the puddle was it wasn’t intended to be in a latte. Right into the trash. Very sad. I should also mention that their pastry case was almost completely empty on a Sunday afternoon. I gave it 2 stars for old times sake and hope that the Sunday crew was the«B» team.

This place is an OK coffee shop. Wish they had more seating options. Good place to work in the center.

Walked in here, as I had thought I heard good things about Peet’s. Ordered a chai latte. nothing special. Starbucks is better. Maybe they are only good for coffee based products? Also wish they had pointed out the Fall specials, as I didn’t see them until after I ordered and got my drink.

love this peets, its a staple in my weekly schedule. biggest gripe is its small, so seating is limited. Why do people come in here to «study» or just sit on their laptop«working» on a sunday morning? Dont these people have wifi at home? If you are done with your beverage or food, and there are people standing waiting for a seat– take your study to the library. its just across the road. please.

I first tried Peet’s in Santa Monica and fell in love. The one here in Lexington is just as great! Such a cute little place! I really like it here and try to get here as often as I can, as it is kind of close to work. The staff is always friendly, the food is yummy, and the coffee is delicious. I love the lattes here, as well as their teas. Nice, relaxed vibe. Great place to come on a break during the day, for a meeting, or just to hang out with friends. Wish they would come to Back Bay/Downtown or South End!

John and the rest of the staff here do a great job. They are always friendly and trying to keep the line moving. I particularly like the iced coffee here, though on some days I wish they had the 34oz version like Starbucks right down the street. It’s only two doors down from where I work, and that convenience definitely counts for something as well.

I enjoy the coffee, but the atmosphere is sorta noisy and crowded, def. not a good place to study. Everyone’s friendly and helpful though, so I went here quite a few times.

The coffee is a bit overcooked, so it was bitter, but their pastry selection was decent. The staff was friendly and it’s very clean. It’s a little small, and there’s very little room for sitting. I’d say its on the level with a good Starbucks,(less expensive with better coffee) definitely better than Caribou Coffee. I enjoyed a coffee, and a cranberry scone. I was hoping for more reading some of the reviews but I wasn’t disappointed.

Absolutely rude!!! I grew up in Lexington for a while and I’ve always gone to Starbucks through my high school years. However, this summer, I wanted to try Peet’s and have gone more than a few times. The first few times, there was a very nice gentleman who helped me and was very patient with me as I took my time deciding what I wanted to get. I ended up liking the coffee here a lot and started buying coffee from here more often. However, yesterday, there was a special where you could get a free medium drink as long as you show a coupon either on paper or mobile device. I printed one copy for myself and told my dad to print 2(for for him and one for my mom). However, when we arrived, we found out that he had lost his coupons. So I immediately went up to a young man(different than the inital gentleman), explaining my situation and asked if the three of us could use that one coupon(now, the coupon said one free drink per customer, not one coupon per customer). The young man initially agreed, and we got 2 fredos and 1 ice coffee(the 2 were for my dad and me, and the ice coffee was for my mom). However, all of a sudden, he charged us 2.60. I initially thought that was tax and didn’t mind paying. However, when my mother asked, the man said that he had to charge us for the ice coffee! He then defended himself saying that he has already given us a free drink because that coupon only works for ONE customer-indicating that I should be thankful(for what? Saying that he would give us that offer and then immediately lie to our face 30 seconds later?). So immediately, I said, forget about the ice coffee and we’ll just take the fredos. He then proceeds to make us our fredo. Now, I immediately went on my phone and was able to pull up the coupon. I gave my phone to my mother and told her to go back in line and get her ice coffee. She then waited in line and another man soon lined up behind her. Here’s the really rude part. The girl behind the cashier has been ignoring my mother for a while already. We waited because she seemed like she was busy(taking her sweet time throwing away used coffee bean). However, as soon as a man lined up behind her, that girl said«How may I help you?» to the man! The man looked over to us and the girl immediately said«oh, they are all set!» without even looking at us! I was in complete shock. Luckily, my mother’s not that proficient in English(and unlikely to have entirely understood the situation at the time) and proceeds to show the coupon to the girl, saying that she would like an ice coffee. The girl then looked at me and said«I can’t do that because the coupon came from the same email.» I then told her, «I did not get this from an email. It’s a website open to the public.» She then proceeds to ROLL her eyes at us and then said«FINE.» My family and I are furious at the treatment that we’ve received here! I understand that it IS free. However, this is the company’s special, and is not excuse for the treatment we’ve received. I did not break any rules(completely complied within the rules listed in the coupons). Additionally, I was not there the only time to get free drinks. I’ve been supporting that coffee shop for a while. Initially, I thought that I may start drinking from here more often(instead of my typical Starbucks). Now, because of the customer service here, I would much rather go down the street to Starbucks where the quality of the coffee is similar and the service is a LOT better.

I love coming to Peets every day! More important than the coffee and the tea is the quality staff that makes Peets our other home. Lexington Peets is our Cheers and Brian is like our Sam Malone. When we come in we have a 2nd family greet us with our favorite Peets beverage, a welcoming smile, and a cozy clean environment where we get to share our lives together. I feel very fortunate to have have this experience. Thank you Brian and all of the staff. Barry

Sometimes you find really great stores when you randomly drive along back routes. This is how the boyfriend and I found Peet’s Coffee. I had never heard of the franchise, so upon seeing the sign, I screamed, ‘Stop the car!!!’ and jumped out. No, I really did this(I’m a sick person). I loved the inside of Peet’s Coffee! It was more low-key than a Starbucks(although it’s obvious they’re going for that crowd) and the staff was incredibly friendly. They even asked if I’d had the drink before and offered to give me a sample so I could be sure I’d love it. And, they do this every time I step in– no matter how busy they are. Awesome customer service! They have a lot of sweet drinks. Coffee that’s dressed up with a gallon of mocha, caramel or other flavoring. I’m not the biggest fan of that stuff. I’ll try it once, and that’s it. I’ve had regular iced flavored lattes and the sickly sweet drinks and both were really good. Peet’s has the usual array of baked goodies and bagels and sandwiches. I’ve yet to try any of that, but it sure looks good and I see tons of people buying it. Prices are comparable to Starbucks. I wish they would expand into the North Shore. I would definitely go more often. Just another treat that we found by getting off of the highway and driving through a city’s downtown!

This is my first time into Peet’s. I like their décor which is similar to Starbucks. The baristas are nice and friendly. I ordered an Iced Tea — Jasmine Lime Breeze Cooler. It tasted much more like a lemonade than a tea. Very refreshing for a summer day. To go along with it, I ordered a croissant. I absolutely fell in love with it at first bite. It definitely tops Starbucks’. It’s moist and buttery. Reminds me of Montréal. Too bad Peet’s is not as widely available as Starbucks else I’d be doing croissant runs every other day! Next time I’m near a Peet’s, I’ll try their coffee.
