The seasoned pork tacos were very tastey. I got the chicken soup, The broth was very rich and had plenty of yellow wonderful chicken fat with rich cilantro. The prices are a bit high on the dinner lunch platters. Portions were perfect though.

I went in for marinated meat. I have been looking for a go-to carniceria in Lexington. They had pork and carne asada in what I thought was a cooler. I’m not sure it was on. I went for the pork, because it looked better. The guy with a few missing teeth at the counter assisted me by grabbing the meat with his unwashed, bare hands, wrapping it up, and double-bagging it in plastic. When I returned to my car after the next stop, it smelled funny. The next day, when I pulled it out of my fridge and went to cook it, a small fly flew out upon unwrapping it. It made my whole kitchen reek of rancid garbage. I tried to cook and eat it, but I couldn’t take the smell or flavor. It was obviously bad. I lived in Los Angeles for a couple of years and frequently visited the sketchiest, most delicious Mexican restaurants on the west side. I was hoping this might be the same. This is more of a public health code violation than a grocery. Beware.

Great food! This is what I grew up with. REAL Mexican food. The Menudo is flawless and they keep the tortillas and oregano flowing. The Mexican drink selection is great too. anything from coconut water to Jarritos Tamarindo. They also have good homemade salsas and a great habanero hot sauce. The service is good but the servers don’t speak much english so… Point at what you want and hope for the best. Everything is very tasty and the market they have has quite a few mexican an central american options.
