Mancino’s Pizza & Grinders

I really appreciate small businesses that offer great service! There have been some setbacks for example; I ordered a bbq pizza without chicken for pick up and when I picked up my order I had chicken added, grant it they did remake one without chicken but I did take up my whole lunch.
Another time; I was thinking of ordering pizza for the superbowl and they had ran out of boxes… seeing that the superbowl is a big day for any pizza joint you would think they would be more prepared. I literally was told I could not order pizza unless it was individual.
However; besides those two incidents I really love their pizza!

I have been a huge fan of mancinos since I was a kid. Their grinders are one of the largest sandwiches in lexington and always top quality. I usually stick with the club grinder. I prefer their rolls over other comparable sandwich shops. I have never had their pastas, but the pizza and cheese bread are also consistently great. I highly recommend if you’re on that side of town.

This food was pretty terrible. I have no idea how it received 4 stars which is why I picked this place.
I ordered the baked spaghetti and meatballs and a dinner salad since the salad didn’t come with it. Garlic bread came with the pasta.
My bread was burnt, I ate around the burnt parts though. The salad consisted of shredded iceberg lettuce, shredded cheese, chopped tomato and slivers of green peppers. It felt like I was eating the contents of a taco bell taco.
The baked spaghetti had so much cheese on it that it was like glue! Hardly any sauce to keep the noodles separate from the cheese. I wasn’t going into the situation expecting anything more than average Italian food, but I wasn’t expecting way below average.

Good tasty grinders. Great lunch stop. If you go in and tell them youre on lunch they rush your order. My go to is the italian. Frankly just order it you can thank me later.

Ryan’s Reuben. Best reuben in the whole wide world!!! I crave it pretty much every day. And I don’t know why everyone is complaining about the service? The lady who’s always there is about the sweetest person ever! She calls everyone «honey» and I have never had a bad experience with anyone else who works there, either.

Never ever ever ever ever get the fries. They are literally the worst fries I’ve ever had and cost almost half a sandwich.
Steak sandwich was good though.

Mancino’s has good pizza and just ok wings. Recently moved from Chicago and have been looking for the best pizza, Mexican, and Chinese restaurants in town. Mancini’s isn’t the best pizza in town, but is better than Domino’s and Pizza hut. Food is hot and fresh, staff is friendly. We’ll be back for a change (you get tired of the same place all the time) but not our favorite pizza in town thus far.

My favorite pizza in Lexington. It’s a small hometown pizzeria with great food. I love everything on the menu, but nothing better than a fresh pizza loaded up. If I’m on that side of town, it’s a must stop.

The sandwich was pretty good, but the fries lacked seasoning and were so plain, I couldn’t finish them. Their website is misleading for their menu items. As some things aren’t actually available that’s portrayed on there. Overall, the sandwich was very delicious!

I’m a huge fan of Mancino’s. I’m always recommending it to people.
The sandwiches are somewhat «expensive» but considering a half of a sandwich will MORE than fill you up, and a whole sandwich is enough for lunch the next day, I’d say it’s more than worth the price.
Plus the fact that they’re DELICIOUS. I’ve tried the blazin’ chicken, chicken bacon ranch, and Italian and each one very tasty. I love the bread they use. It’s not hard and crusty, but not super soft and soggy either. The extra cheese they melt on it is what makes it really good.
I’ve never had the pizza so I can’t rate that. I only come here for the sandwiches and those are definitely 5 star worthy in my book.

Had a great grinder today, I had the blazin chicken. Two can share a whole grinder. Definitely worth a try. Great, friendly service.

Great little lunch spot. It can get pretty crowded at lunchtime, which is a good sign of good food, the lack of chioces in the area, or people stuck in a rut, but in this case I think it’s the good food & service. It takes them a few minutes to holler your name once they complete your order, but the food is hot and usually prepared with care. The fresh baked cookies at the counter are hard for me to pass up. The white chocolate macadamia nut are my favorites. Man, I want one now, that’s why I’m not skinny. Try half of an Italian sub, if that’s your thing. It’s not my favorite Italian sub, but it’s pretty good.

It’s a sad day when I give a pizza place 2 stars. But in this case I had too. Where do we start off. Hmm we can start with how when walking in the door you think oh a nice pizza place were they sit you down and take your order. Nope! You have to decide before you sit down. So my buddy and I look at the menu you they have above the counter for a pizza we wanna get. So we notice some of the pizzas don’t have prices next to them. So we ordered the blazing chicken thinking well it can’t be that badly priced if the other pizzas are around $ 10. But no we were soooo wrong. $ 18.49 for a large? Are you kidding me? And let’s not forget no price was given or told. So we said oh well must mean the pizza is good. The lady brings out our pizza. First thing I notice was how little toppings they used for the pizza. I still was willing to give it a chance. So I grabbed a slice, put some red peppers on it, took a bite and knew right away they went WAY over board on the hot sauce. I understand it’s called blazing chicken, but when all you taste is hot sauce and nothing else in the whole pizza. Kinda defeats the purpose of the toppings. Let’s just say I wouldn’t buy a pizza from this place ever again. I might try the grinders but never a pizza again.

I thought this was unique to Bowling Green, but once I realized they had one in town I could not have been happier! The food is fantastic!

Takes forever but worth it when it comes out. Also expensive but will give you more than one meal.
I am a fan of their sauce and the amount of cheese they use — a lot!

Simply put, the best sandwiches (grinders) in town. I don’t bother going anywhere else for this type of meal if I can help it… The only downside is that they don’t deliver, so I generally can’t go there for lunch unless I want to take a long one.
Highly recommend the Italian grinder. Haven’t tried the pizza so no comment there.
Décor is kind of crappy, and sometimes you’ll get annoying children in the dining room, but I guess I’ll have to put up with it to get my fix!

Great grinders and baked fries. Pizza has enough grease on it to cover the cast of Happy Days.
With a bunch of napkins to dry the grease off, it’s pretty good.

Spicy Buffalo Chicken sub is fantastic! I’ll be back!
Haven’t tried the pizza. The taco salad looks good, and the taco pizza sounds like it might be worth trying.

If you want a great sub, you found the right place. Mancino’s has a large selection of sub to choose from. First time here, order the half. It is more than enough for one person. The service is fast and friendly. Try the french fries some time, larger and crisp. The pizza is not bad either. Haven’t tried any of the baked pastas.
