My husband and I decided to give this place a try. Honestly, we couldn’t even tell what we walked into — the place just appears to be a fish market with no evidence that they are also a restaurant. We received a less than warm welcome, but eventually sorted everything out. There are two tiny tables for two inside and two small tables outside, so luckily we didn’t go with more people.
We ordered the salmon and the halibut. The halibut was pretty good. The salmon was absolutely delicious. I also tried the lobster bisque and it was tasty, but a little thick.
The guy working warmed up to us after he brought us our food and was much nicer to us as we settled up. I would like to try their crab cakes sometime, so perhaps we will go back.

Fish in the counter was fresh, staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We discussed products that they don’t stock, but can order with short notice.

Lexington seafood company has in my experience the best fish available in town. If you happen to be over in chevy chase around lunch time you would be doing yourself a disservice by not stopping by for lunch. You can choose from a list of some of the freshest fish and healthy sides for a wonderful plate lunch.
All of the fish I have ever had to LSC has been paramount in my fish eating experience for Lexington.
Sea Bass is my favorite fish. All it needs is a little salt, pepper, and lemon simply baked to make it perfect fish heaven. Tender and flaky yet has a little bite to it. Very mellow fish taste. Mike at LSC does the fish justice by letting it be its self and not covering up its natural splendor. Simply seasoned and baked, served hot with your choice of side.

Horrible! I will never go back! Super expensive and they gave me bad mussels. 6 of 12 were bad when I went to cook them a hour after my purchase and when I called to let them know they said they were fine in the store. Awful experience.

Had lunch with co-​workers. Three of us had medium-​rare Ahi Tuna sandwich that was incredible. Generous portion.

Great to have a place to get fresh product from a knowledgeable fishmonger here in Lexington. I’ve never had his prepared food, but I’ve purchased plenty of fish from him and it is always wonderful. Has put in lot of effort into sourcing the freshest, best stuff. Highly recommend.

Lunch with the family. Tuna, swordfish and crab cake sandwiches cooked to order. Served with slaw or salad sides. The zucchini side needs the veggies to be caramelized first. Interesting frozen treats (frog legs, alligator, lobster tails, crab) in freezer. Though, too bad alligator only comes in five pound bags. Fresh fish at the counter. Worth another trip. I’d like the slaw to jump out a bit more and the tomatoes for the sandwich to be local (these looked as if they had been gassed and shipped. Very friendly service. Fish was fairly tasty.
