Kentucky Dentistry for Kids

The doctor was fine and my child enjoyed it there. However, the lack of customer service or basic social skills of the front desk staff on more than one occasion has us taking our business elsewhere.

After playing musical chairs looking for a pediatric dentist that I felt comfortable taking my daughter to, we finally found Dr. Humphrey’s here at Kentucky Dentistry for Kids.
We went to several other pediatric dentists here in Lexington and none of them even come close to Dr. Humphrey and her staff. My 4 year old daughter needed some fillings done thanks to the deep ridges in her teeth. Another pediatric dentist told us that we’d need to crown one tooth and they insisted that they would absolutely have to sedate her, and seemed insulted that I would even question them as to how the sedation was done, etc.
I decided to seek out a second opinion (thank goodness I did!) and came here. Dr. Humphrey told us that a crown wasn’t necessary and there was actually a cavity that the other dentist had missed. She gave us the option to try to do one cavity at a time (not sedated) or do them all (consciously sedated). We opted to do them all at once. Dr. Humphrey and her staff went over absolutely EVERY little detail with me. I was a nervous wreck (probably even more so than my daughter!) but they were so calm, patient and kind, and answered any question I had. They even called back later in the day after she’d had her dental work done to check up on her.
I would absolutely recommend this to any parent looking for a pediatric dentist. Like I said, I’ve been to several other offices in Lexington and none of them compare to here. I’m elated that I found a dentist that I feel more than comfortable taking my daughter to.

After leaving another dentist office. We called them and they agreed to get us in right away. The service was very friendly and we really enjoyed our experience. The office décor is kid friendly but still has a professional feel when you are there. We look forward to our next visit, this is what dentistry for kids should be all about. Thank you!

My child enjoys visits to this Dentist office. Fun décor and video games make his day every time.
The new location has lots of space and we’re very pleased with the friendliness of the staff.
