What a disappointing Mother’s Day breakfast. It wasn’t even crowded, so our hopes were high that it would be a nice treat for us. But the service was poor, and I blame the manager. To make a long story short, after an unusually long wait for breakfast(25 minutes, half empty restaurant), the manager was the one who brought out our food. One of the orders was wrong(forgivable) and we let him know. We also let him know that our children had not received any silverware yet. After 10 minutes we were still waiting, and their food was getting cold. See attached picture of one of our children eating his breakfast with his hands, which we allowed under the circumstances. As you can see, he is almost entirely done with a jr. grand slam. I finally went and found the manager, who said, «Can I help you?» which confirmed that he had just forgotten. A few minutes later we finally had the silverware, but the meal was almost done. Where was our waitress during all this? According to her, she had been assigned to help with a large group. We saw her twice over a 30 minute meal — which is why I blame the manager and why I still tipped well. Our coffee was lukewarm and only topped off once, our water never was, and our orders(and tableware) were bungled. We felt undervalued as guests. PS The child’s changing table in the men’s room was on the verge of falling off of it’s hinge. I propped it up with the trashcan to feel safer.

TERRIBLESERVICE !! We waited up front to be seated for 15 minutes with employees walking right by us not even acknowledging the fact we were standing there. Then when we were finally seated, the waitress took our almost instantly which was fine we already knew what we wanted. Got our food quickly, but after the waitress gave us our food she walked away and never once came back to check on us, needing refills, never got one the entire time. After being done eating the waitress sit and drank her a soda sitting in the corner and never brought us our ticket for over 30 minutes. We made it very obvious we was finished by stacking our plates at the end of the Table. HORRIBLEWAITRESS.

One of the worst experiences ever encountered in a «restaurant.» Came into this location for the first time this morning. It took 15 mins to get water, another 15 for a re fill. Took roughly 45 minutes to get our food that was either cold, incomplete, and or the wrong order. Very hard to choose this location over Waffle House.

Meal and experience was as expected, but at the end of my meal, an exterminator was spraying for pests from booth-to-booth…

Denny’s is the place to go when you want sober up and feeling cheap. But you get what you pay for. So I can’t complain too much. Normally the service is horrible and the food is… edible. Tonight the service was nothing to complain about. The food however was lacking. I felt like I was served artificial fruit that is displayed in the dinning room. The pancakes needed an electric saw to cut through. The sausage had a taste not even a river rat would enjoy. The eggs were… I’m not even sure if they were eggs. Like I said, it’s Denny’s. You get what you pay for.

Why 4 stars? Because I can’t give 3.5 so I rounded up. The real reason is because the food and service were pretty good tonight. === === === === This is my one-year revisit to this location to see if things have turned for the better. Luckily, tonight they have. It appears there are new employees working here, and they were actually polite and attentive so that was a nice change. Our server made sure our glasses were always full, and the food came out as soon as it was cooked so it was hot & fresh. Nothing had to be sent back which was another nice change from previous experiences here. I ordered the Slamburger — not on the menu anymore, but they still offered it. It’s a cheeseburger with hash browns, bacon, queso & American cheese, and a fried egg on top of a bun. Your choice of potatoes(or probably another side) accompanies the burger. I asked for crispy bacon and the egg over medium. The bacon was perfect but the egg was overcooked. Not a huge deal, so I didn’t complain. As my side, I picked seasoned fries. They came out hot and crisp so it was a nice addition. Overall, this experience was pretty decent for me so I’ll be back on occasion.

We ordered at 10:02 pm. We finally received our food at 11:03…and we only ordered burgers and a breakfast plate! The food was mediocre at best. Ham was like rubber. My goddaughters soda glass was so dirty, it looked liked a milk shake had been poured out and Coke added. It was absolutely disgusting. Our waitress, Kim, was EXCELLENT! She checked on us frequently, kept our coffee full and apologized repeatedly for the horrible cook.

Service is awful. The worst restaurant I’ve ever seen. We even waited for over 5 minutes to be seated. The server is disrespectful and the food is incredibly slow. Never gonna come back. This place should totally be remanaged.

Edit: OMG the burger was totally worth the wait. If you have not tried it, go try it. Bourbon Bacon Burger. I think I had multiple foodgasms. Not kidding! So I went here, after doing my event today, to try out a burger that I saw a youtuber review. When I got to the register, the gal asked me all these questions, even when I said, I wanted a sandwich. Apparently, when you go to Denny’s, you cannot buy A SANDWICH. Instead, you have to buy a side that comes with it. All this, for an inflated price. See… the side COMESWITHIT, but you have to BUYIT with the entrée. It’s like a buy one get one free deal, where you cannot just get the free item. –_– Well fine, I settled for $ 11.00 and a tip, which she also asked me for. I think she was swindling me. *sigh* College students. Anywho, I sat and waited and waited and waited. There was a college aged boy and gal that I am pretty sure were dating and they just sat there thinking of ways to make it seem like they were having a conversation. But of course, since the food was so late coming out, they just kind of sat there. So good job Denny’s, they probably had a horrible date and they will most likely never go out again. For me, oh I did not mind. I sat there and looked at every square footage of my area. I got a free drink, which I thought should have been included in my $ 11 dilemma, on the house. When the server finally brought out what I got, I stood up and shouted«YAY!» People either laughed or looked up abruptly. I then said«I appreciate it» and walked out.

I was quite disappointed with the experience. I and my friend were seated in a booth. The seat was badly ripped and«repaired» in ghastly fashion with duct tape, i.e., the tape didn’t hold the rip closed; bad first impression for this visit. I’m a calorie counter so I selected the«Build Your Own»(BYO) burger option; grilled chicken breast, whole wheat bun, avocado, and BBQ sauce. I also ordered a side salad. The bad news continues… the salad was not good at all. When asked to explain why it was so expensive, the server described it as «kind of big» with lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and shredded cheese. Yep, all except the cheese… and the«kind of big». It was a typical portion for a side salad — definitely NOT worth the $ 4 listed on the menu. The basalmic vinaigrette dressing did not taste nearly as good as other basalmic vinaigrette dressings I’ve had in the past in other restaurants, but that wasn’t horrible. I wouldn’t order it again. When I received the check, I was stunned to learn that the BYO was billed at $ 8.49, BUT the chicken added $ 1.50 and the avocado added $ 1.00 to the bill. To charge $ 10.99 for a very average chicken sandwich seemed over the top to me. I asked at checkout whether there might have been a mistake. Basically, the bun and the BBQ sauce cost me $ 8.49. But after several minutes and the collaboration of four team members, they determined that, yes, these were the correct charges. That kind of charge for a standard fare chicken sandwich is enough to persuade me that I don’t have much reason to return to a Denny’s in the future. Admittedly, they did discount my ticket by $ 1.50 for the chicken upcharge even though I told them I wasn’t asking for a discount so much as I wanted to double check the pricing, so I think they recognized that the charge was excessive. The good news is that the chicken, the bun, the avocado topping, and the BBQ sauce were tasty in spite of arriving at the table at a lukewarm temperature. So there’s that…

Oh boy, this place should be condemned and torn down. We went on a normal Wednesday afternoon with our parents. What should have been a simple lunch turned out to be a nightmare dining experience. Service was horrendous, because our waitress simply disappeared, and the poor lady who took over out of necessity was stressed out and embarrassed. Food took FOREVER. Tables all around us were cluttered and messy and un-bussed. When we went to pay at the register, the ceiling started leaking! Seriously, I’m surprised this Denny’s is still in operation. Not only would I highly recommend avoiding it at all costs, but I would recommend the city just shut it down already. There’s a gas station next door where you’d have a more pleasant dining experience.

If you happen by & the lot is a little crowded, drop in anyway. Several other businesses park here as well. If you’re looking for great customer service, ask to be seated in Caitlin’s section. Took great care of us & kept our drinks full!

This particular Denny’s location is by far the worst location I have ever visited. It has been my experience that they are not occasionally bad, they are consistently bad. On one recent visit, the service was so incredibly slow that I actually decided to simply leave before the food(n)ever arrived. Today I decided to return to try them once again and immediately upon walking in, I overhead a customer asking to be moved as his server had never shown up. «She’s on break,» I heard an employee mutter. Not a great start. I was seated soon thereafter – navigating a section of the restaurant that was blocked off with chairs and noticed that the booth next to mine was a disaster area. Upon leaving, the booth was still left in the same shape. The restaurant was not that busy. Clearly this location is very poorly«managed.» I ordered a soda and a water and a BLT. The waitress brought back a soda but no water. I ordered the BLT without tomato. The waitress repeated it back. When it arrived, you guessed it, it was laden with tomato. I mentioned it and she laughed and said, «I can have them remake it for you.» I opted to simply take off(and waste) the tomato. It’s virtually impossible to ruin a BLT but this Denny’s managed to do just that. The bread was toasted to the point of being burnt. The fries were not done. The only way this Denny’s manages to stay in business is due to its high profile location. It is certainly not due to the quality of food nor the service. The other location in Lexington is far better but quite a distance away from my neighborhood. I recommend you choose any other restaurant in the area other than this Denny’s. It’s one-star at best. Granted, it is only Denny’s, but they could at least try.

I have visited this Denny’s several times over the last few months. I have ordered the skillets and they were very good. I Have had the $ 4 slam recently. Both are lot of food for the money. I would recommend this r Denny’s I Am usually seated promptly and food comes fast. Recently On a busy Sunday morning waited 25 minutes for 2 slam breakfast. Must have had a slow cook who could not keep up with many orders, Noticed many other customers also waiting. Look for discount coupons for this. They also offer nice discounts to military, Univ of KY employees, UK students, EMS, police.

This Denny’s is unlike a regular Denny’s. We waited over an hour for food and received nothing. I had to ask for a spoon to mix sugar in my coffee. I had to ask for coffee refills. The waitress was very nice but the service was unacceptable. When we spoke to a server and explained that we had been waiting for over an hour she asked what was wrong with the service. Others overheard us and said they either waited for over an hour or were still waiting for food. Servers blame it on the kitchen. This place needs a leadership change. Now we’re at an O’Charley’s. I’m optimistic.

Went there for breakfast after work. Place had only a few customers Inside. Walked in and was seated promptly. Waiter looked a little dirty clothes wise other than that she had a good attitude and knowledgeable of the menu. My friend and I ordered and I asked for lemon water. She said they do not serve that but she could cut me up a lemon and put not on the side for me. I watched her do it from my table. Food was delivered within 20 minutes. My hash browns tasted bland and was worse than McDonald’s. The pancakes and eggs were cooked as I asked and tasted pretty good. The sausage tasted like a frozen patty, yuck. I was satisfied with the presentation of my food. I’ll give it 2 stars. Price was a little high for what I got. Would only come back if there was nothing else open at night or I’m not paying. Lol. Ps…bathroom smelled nice and had seat covers.

This is a place to avoid. This is not anything about Denny’s as a whole. This is this one specific location that is so bad. They have managed to take a predictable formula for a place and go from adequate to awful. I don’t know why, but every time my wife or myself has eaten here we’ve become quite sick soon thereafter. Service is always horrible with apathetic servers, food that’s always slow to be served up, and mistakes made in orders on a regular basis. The dining room is somewhere between grimy and filthy. The only reason I kept going back was out of convenience of the location, but too many anguished trips to the bathroom an hour or two after eating there and too many times walking out feeling like I’d been ignored and served awful food. I’ve been to Denny’s that are at least decent, but this place has made it clear so many times how awful it is.
