Went here last July with some friends from out of town, food was good. service great. A year later the food was not good at all, fish was tasteless except for a few pecans that were on it, choice of broccoli or mixed veg., mixed veg had yeah, broccoli(and cauliflower) very mushy, okra was microwaved could barely get the fork into it, I thought this was the one place I could be safe from horrible unseasoned food that many restaurants in Lexington serve, oh well– wrong again! Server was nice. So disappointed don’t know if I will risk wasting what little money we have to eat out on this place again.

I frequently visit this Cracker Barrel because my parents are huge fans and it’s the closest one to where we live. If you go at the right time, you won’t have to wait very long(either a late lunch or early dinner). We are usually seated promptly. The food at Cracker Barrel is delicious. I have a sweet spot in my heart for good olé Southern cooking. I am a creature of habit and always order the grilled pork chop country dinner plate for $ 7.69. You get a main dish, two sides, and bread(either biscuits or corn muffins) included in this meal which is a decent deal for dinner. I love the biscuits. I get mac and cheese and the baked sweet potato as my sides and they are both wonderful. Near the holidays, make sure to try out their pecan pie with chocolate chips. It is delicious. The reason for the two star rating unfortunately comes down to consistency. I myself have never had a problem with my food, but every single time I go to this Cracker Barrel, at least someone in my party always has a problem. Problems like them being«sold out» of items, getting the order wrong, undercooked food, etc. The last time, my dad ordered chicken tenders and they were raw. The manager was apologetic and promised to make it right. A short time later, he brought out a replacement plate of tenders. They too, were raw. It was embarrassing and uncomfortable. My dad just ended up eating his side dishes and corn muffins and decided to for-go the entrée. They did remove his meal from the bill. This time, my brother ordered grilled chicken tenderloin, and about 10 minutes after we ordered, our waitress came out and apologized and told him that they had sold out of the tenderloin. He just picked something else that he didn’t really want. The service is okay… our servers have all been friendly but sometimes miss small details. Like when they deliver the biscuits and corn muffins to the table, it would be a nice gesture to ask if anyone would like jelly instead of quickly taking off before we even have the time to request the jelly. Food Taste A+ Food Consistency C– Service B–

I was in the mood for Cracker Barrel everything was great! Our waiter Charles was very sweet and kept my glass full. It was not very busy which was perfect and the food was so delicious. No complaints at all.

It’s a cracker barrel, not much else to say about it. Food is usually good if tending toward the bland. The macaroni and cheese is the only gruesome thing I’ve ever eaten here. Well, not here specifically, but Cracker Barrels in general. Here it was the usually tasteless globby mass of overcooked pasta and unidentifiable cheese. The catfish was hot and freshly cooked. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy, and the little tomato and cucumber salad was inoffensive. The biscuits were quite good, flaky and warm and The place was clean, convenient to the freeway, and packed, like CBs usually are. Service was friendly and fast and my giant plate of food cost $ 12. I got a couple of Nesbitt Honey Lemonades on the way for a couple of bucks more.

Stopped in to get something to eat on my way to another location. Cracker Barrel always has good food, but the service at this place is exceptional. Kimberly was my waitress and she went well above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. My cup never got half empty before she was there to fill it and she has a great attitude. Great service makes great food better.

A Cracker Barrel is a Cracker Barrel is a Cracker Barrel. Nothing changes from one to another. It’s about the only chain that I will agree to stop at when traveling. It’s decent.

I’m surprised this Cracker Barrel got such a low rating. We ate here last week for breakfast, and everything was fine. We got seated within 15 minutes so we did not have shuffle through the over-crowded store section.(who buys that stuff!?) It was 2pm, and we got breakfast. Everything was hot, and very good. Our favorite is the pancakes. They have the crunchy edging. I would definately go back. Oh yea, Dear Cracker Barrel, your seats are very uncomfortable. Can you add a little cushion or something? I get the old-school feel, but we really are in 2013 and they do make padding.(just saying)

OK So i left Mangos on South Beach at 4am, went home, got my luggage, was at the airport by 5:25 am, caught my flight at 6:25(knocked out) and woke up in Charlotte North Carolina by 8:25am. So when I finally sat down to eat at Cracker Barrel here in Lexington, you could imagine how ready I was for food and to be served. Unfortunately our sweet country waitress was slow in bringing out drinks, and had us wait long intervals before coming back to check on us. As sweet as she was, I did not enjoy this place nor its food. The food looked real good but it repeated on me within 20 minutes was having stomach aches. Im sure it was there sausage and bacon. Maybe I should have tried the pancakes, at any rate, im in no rush to go back.

We came here for lunch today with a party of nine that included a 16yo, 14yo and 11mo twins wheeled in a double stroller. We weren’t all quite ready, but the hostess was sweet as pie. The fact that we were weren’t all together and ready to go didn’t bother her at all even though the lunch crowd was starting to pick up. She escorted a third of us that were ready to the dining room where our table was set up with two high chairs. Our server took our drink orders promptly, then the rest of our party arrived. Our server was very patient with us and super friendly. Our meal came out quickly as well. The biscuits and cornbread were a bit dry but everything else was very good: BLT sammies with fries and onion rings Grilled chicken salad Chicken ‘n rice Grilled chicken tenderloin with okra and mac n cheese Old Timer’s breakfast Half-pound bacon cheeseburger The kids loved sitting on the porch with the rocking chairs and playing checkers. All in all it was a pleasant experience at this Cracker Barrel location.
