Burger was great. Fries were great. Wait staff, awesome. But this owner needs to add kitchen staff clearly. We waited forever for food as did everyone in there. And it was only lunch.

I’ve been to this place a few times since the new owners & each time I go to Bucks I’m always hoping it’ll be better than the last time, but sadly it never is. Each time I go to Bucks I’m either having an issue with the service, the food, or just everything all together. Normally I don’t say anything either because from what I’ve heard from other customers & friends who live in Lexington who have also been here more than me apparently saying anything doesn’t fix or solve nothing. Last Friday night I had went to Bucks with a friend of mine, we probably arrived about 5:30 to a barely half full dining room. After standing at the door for almost over 5 minutes(which seemed a bit ridiculous considering how slow they were) finally a male server came up to us & finally sat us to our booth. He gave us our menu’s & explained to us that he would be serving us tonight then walked away without asking for our drinks. After a few minutes he came back & finally got our drink order & we also told him our order too all at once… Then about 6:00 they started to get a bit of a little rush, there was only two servers from what I seen & once it started to get busy both servers seemed to look like they had no idea what to do with the business they were getting. Which I’m guessing was because from what I’ve heard & experience from times I went they hardly ever have business. After almost over 30 minutes our food finally came out which didn’t seem right considering we had gotten there before the rush. When my friend & I took our first bite from our food we’d notice that the food was very cold & I had gotten a burger. My cheese on my burger was barely even melted as well, it was damn near just a slice of cheese sitting on my burger. My friend had gotten the 8oz sirloin ordered Med Rare with a side of broccoli & the rice… His steak was Well done & the broccoli had looked like it had been sitting in a fridge for months & with a brown tint also wilted… The food too was also bland & tasteless, this time had to been the worse then all the other times I’ve been here. Being more upset with the place then ever before I had actually said something to my server. When explaining everything wrong with our meals our server looked like he could careless. The look on his face seemed like he was just waiting for us to stop talking so he could get back to standing by the bar to stand there & talk to the bartender. At this point with his reaction & the way he dealt with the situation I was even more pissed about everything… I had asked him his name & asked for the manager to talk to, he had told me his name was Mark & apparently he was the«supervisor» which to me was unbelievable considering how unprofessional he was about the whole situation & the night. He had explain to me if I had any complaints they went to him, so at that point I knew whatever I had to say wasn’t going to change anything. Which didn’t surprise me since in the beginning when I was complaining about the meals we had received he didn’t seem sorry at all nor offer any discounts to our bill. After talking to him of course he went back to standing at the bar doing nothing. Then barely finishing the disaster of our meals he took away the plates & gave us the bill… This place is pretty expensive to be receiving god awful meals that are seriously distasteful all the way around. When getting the bill all we wanted to do was get out of there but even with the bill book ready with my card we had waited over 10 minutes for him to even come back to grab it! I would of asked for the owners but I’ve also heard doing that is no good as well because half the time they act like they’re too good for the customers that walk into the doors… The few times I’ve gone there I’ve been approach by the woman who owns it who looks like she’s forcing herself to talk to her customers to make herself look good along with the fake ass smile she has on her face… Just a little bit advice to the owners, it’s hard to have a crappy restaurant in such a small town because everything gets around. I’d spend less time advertising your horse ranch & more time trying to fix your restaurant. I use to live in Lexington & back when the original owners owned it I use to go there all the time & every time I went it was an amazing experience all the way around & they were always busy. The owners too were very professional & ran they’re business well… After selling it I didn’t go there for over a year only because I never heard anything good about the new management but of course I had to go to see it for myself. Since then I’ve hardly went back & each time I go I only go for hopes of it getting better & its never any better & probably never will be. The place now is a disgrace to the Bucks name & they should of changed it considering everything else that had changed with the place. After last Friday night I will never be going there again, I don’t recommend this place at all.

This had to be one of the worst places I have ever been for dinner. The service was slow, the menus were incomplete, and the food came out late and was cold. The pulled pork was dried out and tasted like it had been in the refrigerator for a long time, the spaghetti sauce was disgusting and the meatballs were bland, the fries were greasy and the pita bread with the salad was hard and cold. The management only made excuses for the food and service.

Why would you go to a bar n grill to order a chef cooked meal? Burgers and fries are the best with good prices and service.

For whatever reason, the locals in Lexington keep going back to this place so I’ve been forced to eat here many times. The food is always some combination of burnt, undercooked, and tasteless. If you want to stay nearby, just stop next door and get a great pizza.

I want bucks to be good, but it just isn’t. A few months ago there was an article in the news paper about how they had gotten a new chef and had changed the menu. I can’t ramble off exactly what was on the menu, but it looked really solid and progressive for the area. On to my review… I ordered a new menu item which was some sort of chicken with a special sauce. Well it was a very underwhelming sauce for one, can’t even tell you exactly what the flavor was, but it was a lighter color. The chicken was overlooked to the max. The outside was tough, the inside was dry and flavorless. The salmon was overdone, and extremely mustardy. The perch was over breaded and deep fried with very little perch flavor. I would get more in depth with my review, but my phone is 1 minute away from dying. Point and case. Bucks is a bunch of amateurs, with what sounds to be a good menu, but in the end is executed poorly. I will go back in two months and see if things have changed.

Service was great. I was very disappointed with the stuffed chicken dinner. It was very high priced. The chicken was very and so dry I could barely swallow it. Asparagus was good but the rice was so pasty and had no taste.

Went to Buck’s for dinner last night. When we entered the restaurant it wasn’t that busy. Maybe a total of 8 tables were filled at the time that we entered. Extremely disappointed. All the original staff is gone. It took over an hour to get our food after nagging the server three times. We ordered burgers and they were all burnt and it was bad. The owner was there and never even came to our table to apologize or offer a discount even though the server was informing him that he had a table that wasn’t happy. Other people got up and left because they were waiting on their food for so long. I do not recommend going to this restaurant. We have been going there for years but ever since this new owner took over it has gone down hill. If things don’t change this place will be out of business. I recommend not going. You will only be disappointed.

Bucks is a great neighborhood bar where you can meet your friends and have a beer or nice glass of wine along with a casual dinner that you will not ever be disappointed with. Or, you can reserve the upstairs room for a special occasion like we did for a special birthday feast. The staff and owners are the greatest!

I have traveled to Lexington, OH many times just to eat at Buck’s Bar & Grill and each time it’s been totally worth it! You almost have to start with an appetizer because items like the Loaded Homemade Chips and Pork Potstickers are too good to pass up. The top quality Kobe beef and buffalo always make for an incredible burger experience. Especially on the one of a kind Surf-N-Turf burger, which is topped with savory lobster and crabmeat. But Buck’s offers far more than just delicious burgers, with a variety of sandwiches and wraps, paired to perfection with french fries and a variety of cold draft beer. And if you’re looking for a quality steak, then look no further than the New York Strip or Ribeye topped with one of Buck’s signature sauces. And the best part is, after an amazing meal at Buck’s, the family can walk next door to the Infield for a day of fun activities. It’s just a great place all around! Two thumbs up.

I’ve been here 4 times. The first was great and gone downhill fast since then. There are way too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Owners are too good to talk to patrons and their son who is supposed to be a manager is to busy trying to get a date for the evening. I was so disappointed for a Friday night meal. This really could be a gold mind if the owners would wake up. Got rid of their«free loading«manager and do something instead of standing. I have to say the only thing keeping it from 1 star was the Kobe burger. Was excellent.

Had prime rib club. Flavors were good but you could tell the cook was inexperienced. The bread was not toasted on both sides, just outside. The mayo horseradish was on meat and not on bun to prevent from getting soggy. The cheese was melted on top of sandwich which is very greasy on hands(this is a marketing issue too because if the person has greasy hands then they can’t drink their beer). I live here and loved the I original bucks. The new owners just need to listen to some honest criticism so they can get a grasp on why local diners are dwindling. I hate to see this place fail so I am hoping that they can turn it around.

This is the second time to this restaurant, the first trip was disappointing. We were told ownership and management changed, gave it another shot. I will never eat here again. 1.5 hour wait on a burger and fries that were burned and greasy, respectively. Wait staff was OK, not great. It was not his fault for some really bad food.

In Lexington for Thanksgiving; checked into hotel late(10:30pm); no food anywhere — EXCEPTBUCK’S! Kitchen must be open late; plenty of people eating and ordering when we got in. Hamburger and sweet potato fries were very good; decent beer selection and cocktails too. Good service. I’ve driven past Buck’s for years and assumed it caters to the Mid-Ohio Speedway race crowd. No races the day before Thanksgiving, but there were plenty of people at Buck’s when we finished up. Buck’s is certainly one of the places to be in Lexington. BTW: Buck’s Bar and Grill is the successor to «Buck’s Friendly Tavern», located further west on Main Street. It burned down over ten years ago. I wish I’d kept that name.

Went here after a long day at Mid-Ohio and was delightfully surprised. They had a good menu and decent selection of beer. I ended up getting the philly cheese steak sandwich which was very good. I also tried my friends jumbalaya which was even better then my sandwich. Service was nice and had no problem with us reviewing our data from the race on our laptop. Next time I am in mid ohio i will go here again.
