Nice change of scenery for the coffee world of Lexington, plus great tasting and well priced stuff. The seating can get alittle cramped if a lot of people are around and parking is street only(unless you bike!). Will definitely add to my coffee house rotation.

Broomwagon is a bike shop, coffee shop, and café all rolled into one. They sell and repair bikes. They sell soups, sandwiches, coffee, and beers. I have to say that I had my first adult root beer float here. That is an alcoholic root beer and vanilla ice cream. LOVEIT. I love this concept quite a bit. I will have to go in here another time and try their coffee and other food. So if you are up on North Limestone, needing a bike repair or a bike, craving a coffee, needing a snack, or want a beer come in here. Love this concept.

The lamb stew I had for lunch was so phenomenal that I came back to have it for dinner. That’s my only experience here and it was so good that I’m giving it a hands down 5 star rating.

Totally in love with Broomwagon. There’s something for everyone, whether or not you’re a bike enthusiast. The food specials are innovative, and generally on the healthier side. It’s the perfect spot to work or study during the day, with the best coffee in town.

This was my first time to Broomwagon, but it definitely won’t be my last. I had a generous cup($ 3) of the soup of the day(curried butternut-lentil) and a kale salad. $ 6. And excellent! Perfect for someone nursing a cold. My coworker was generous enough to break off a piece of the daily sandwich special(Hot Damn, which has mozzarella, bacon jam and hot pepper jelly). I’m not sure I would have been as nice because this gooey goodness was beyond tasty. Come here. You’ll be happy.

How many bikes shops can you think of that have a liquor license? For as small as this bike shop is, it’s going to be a real contender in the local bicycle shop biz. See a bike you’re interested and want to mull it over? Grab a brew(beer, hard cider, or coffee) and some lunch and mull it over for a few. Whoever thought up this concept is a genius. My wife has been watching this little shop develop on her daily commutes to work and couldn’t wait to go once they finally opened. We stopped by for a late lunch and found only a few choices, but they were definitely good ones. I ordered the Chorizo and Sirloin Chili. This is definitely some mean chili — black, pinto, and kidney beans, corn, slices of chorizo, crumbles of sirloin, meaty spicy goodness throughout. Covered with diced fresh onion and cheese… This might just be my ideal chili. My wife ordered their grilled cheese which, honestly, was just heavenly. I don’t know what they put in there, but I can only hope to try to recreate that sweet fluffy crispy goodness. Their beverage choices are crazy… A huge variety of coffee, teas, and mostly local beers. They even offered me a sample of Cidergeist when I expressed interest — I’m usually crazy for Apple anything. As far as soda, they only stock Ale 8, but really, that’s all you need. I’ll let my wife go into more detail on the bike shop… That’s more her area.

I love this Place! It just opened up down the street from me and it’s instantly a favorite of mine. The bike shop is as knowledgeable as any in town but the most fair price. Ask for Adam he was super friendly and honest. I like pedal the planet off Richmond rd. but this place is just better. On top of being this great bike shop the coffee shop and small amount of food they have is really good. I had the egg, tomato, and cheese panini with salsa verde and it was really good. The salsa verde is the best salsa I’ve had in Kentucky since I moved here from Texas. The bacon cheddar croissant is good, the cinnamon roll is good, its all good! Its all local. The service in the coffee shop is great too. 10⁄10 would recommend to everyone.

the folks at broomwagon really have something special going on over there. the shop opened up around august i do believe + it looks like it’s quickly becoming a lexington go-to. admittedly, i have never played bike polo which is the force that binds the crew together here, but non polo players rejoice because there really is something for everyone at broomwagon. if you’re looking for a great commuter bike that’s affordable i highly recommend checking out their selection of state bicycles. they even have the special edition reed space bike. fancy. if you’ve already got a bici but need tubes, a new wheel set, or a tune up they got you covered. you might even learn something too since you can watch the mechanics work while enjoying a cup of soup or coffee at the bar area. the other side of the shop houses the café which has a varitey of tasty things + hot bevies AND craft beer(wohoo!). there’s plenty of space in the shop where you can sit + enjoy a good book or get some work done. i love the treehouse vibe at broomwagon, it’s a great place to hang out. do yourself a favor + go there RN.
