We had a great meal last night! It was our first time at Artistry on the Green and we were quite satisfied. The main dining room is spacious, surrounded by lots of windows, very nicely decorated. Nice balance between modern and classic New England. Although we were there in the evening I can see how this venue would also be great for brunch in the morning. We just wish they had a few more beer choices, as well as a couple more vegetarian options on the menu. I recommend it!

Nice upscale atmosphere. Very good service. Interesting menu choices. When we went for dinner, I had the duck. It was a bit overcooked, but tasty. For breakfast, I had the French Toast with blueberry compote. It was outstanding. This is a great place to take the kids when you’re looking to have a special night out. We had my birthday dinner here with our 9 and 11 year old kids. Their kids menu has a lot of good choices.

This was my experience for brunch on a weekend. Summary: Nice venue and location. Friendly staff. Poorly executed food handling and service. Went here relatively early on a weekend and were underwhelmed. Out of four pastry plates requested the servers brought us one, for a table of 16 because they were out. Awkward, who gets a pastry. Birthday boy of course and… oh wait, the kids or they’ll cry. Howard, give me back your birthday pastry, the kids are gonna cry. They only order enough pastries to make 5 pastry plates of 3 pastries each for a brunch service? The food intended for the table next to us was misplaced in front of my two cousins aged 7 and 9. It was eventually taken back and given directly to our neighbors after three or four minutes at our table. I hope our neighbors didn’t see my sweet cousin stick her finger in her dish, lick it and then stick it back in her dish again for a second taste of that delicious syrup. Serving 16 people is hard, but it probably took 10 minutes between the arrival of the first plate and the last plate.(Allowing time for the misdirected plate to arrive at cousin’s spot so she could taste that finger-licking-good syrup, twice) My waffles were lukewarm going on cold by the time we ate. It was really, meh.

What a find ! A incredible spot in a quaint Inn located in Historic Lexington. I did not have French Toast on the mind. Until I read the menu. But what made this dinning experience was the staff, they Truly make you feel Special(Lauren C.)

Could not ask for a better night out. The dining room had a rustic elegance to it that was inviting and cozy. The entire wait staff was very attentive and professional, and went out of their way to ensure a wonderful dining experience. Very impressive wine list, with many selections available by the glass. The dinner itself was delicious. The sea scallops were cooked to perfection, flavorful and lightly seared. The mixed greens salad with thinly sliced apple and blue cheese was fresh and crisp and delicious. Perfect combination of great service, incredible food and lovely atmosphere. Recommend highly for a special night out.

Prix fix menu on Christmas Day was ok, food was good but portions are on small side and it’s definitely overpriced. Service was consistent, atmosphere was great, a lot of country chic and history. Will probably give another chance but definitely not on prix fix holiday menu.

I loved my birthday dinner here — both the truffle pasta and autumn squash dishes were delicious, and my husband’s cauliflower soup and entrée were equally good. The chocolate bombe was way too sweet– we shared it and barely ate half. Our server was extremely nice and helpful. The star off is for the experience as we entered and waited: The maître d /person who seated us was sullen and rude, making us wait for a while even though we had a reservation and there were empty tables, and never apologizing or offering an explanation. We noticed her being rude to others as well. She was standing in the back of the dining room and glaring and pointing at people later — both of us noticed and it was awkward. Places as nice as this shouldn’t tolerate people like that!

Update — went here last night for my birthday again :) one year later, still amazing. Made reservations for 745 didn’t get seated until 8:15 but EVERYTHING else made up for it. Champagne on the house, hand written birthday card, complimentary dessert — all amazing and thoughtful. Profuse apologies from our servers and the manager. We loved every morsel of our entrees and the dessert and dessert drink were on point. STILL love this place!

I found Artistry accidentally, while« Unilocaling» for a nice-ish restaurant for a business lunch. I searched in the Lexington area, sorted by rating, and Artistry on the Green popped up. I’d never heard of it, but thought I’d roll the dice after reading a few reviews. Glad I did! The restaurant is on the bottom floor of an inn(the Inn at Hastings Park, a Relais & Chateaux property); you would never, ever know the restaurant was there just by driving by. In fact, I wasn’t sure where it was even when I had parked! The restaurant is small and tastefully decorated; I suppose I’d call it somewhat colonial in style. While the menu is rather short, it is more than adequate, and the food is excellent. The service is attentive but not at all irritating. My guests both said they never knew it was there but would certainly go back again. I know I will.

Charming location for a Saturday morning breakfast. Impeccable, professional and attentive service made us discuss the dearth of such nowadays. Coffee was rich and smooth, served with heavy cream. My companion and I shared a breakfast BLT and the poached duck egg hash. The BLT was bacon, egg and cheese on luscious thick toast, with lettuce, tomato and a chipotle jam with a wee bit of kick. Different than the usual, and pure dynamite. The perfectly poached duck egg oozed over a hash of duck confit with regular and sweet potatoes — the balance of salty and sweet was perfection. Innovative taste profile, most delectable. A very civilized experience, under $ 20 a person. The quality delivered on all levels was worthy of the premium price. We both remarked upon leaving, «Makes sense why it’s named Artistry.» Well done!

food here is amazing and the staff is very accommodating. I would suggest making reservations if you plan on going on a Sunday or you might miss out.

My favorite breakfast in the area, especially for informal meetings. The food and service are consistently excellent. We are fortunate to have such a great independent dining option.

Returned for dinner again with friends. There is a new chef and the food remains good but different. I think I preferred the food earlier. We shared a dozen oysters which had an ice sorbet covering — a little sweet. I like my oysters better with vinegar and lemon. The pork was pronounced excellent, as was the Char. The duck breast was reasonably good. I often order it in restaurants as we don’t cook it at home. I preferred the duck here the last time. We had a bottle of Pinot Noir which complemented the food well. The chocolate bombe and espresso was a good way in which to end the meal. Our waiter, Lincoln,(whom we have had before), is professional, helpful and attentive. A good place to visit, although I reduced a star for it not being quite as good as on our last visit.

We just had dinner at this lovely restaurant and might go back tomorrow night as well. The gentleman who took our reservation and seated us was Michael. He was thoughtful and helpful… great start to a nice evening. The dining room is beautiful and comfortable. Our server Jocelyn was well informed, honest, hospitable and totally professional. We loved her!!! The food we ordered was; clam chowder, apple walnut blue cheese salad, parpadelle bolognese, and the chicken. Every dish was amazing. If we had one criticism it would be that there wasn’t enough chowder… small portion. Overall this is a great place to dine

First off, I am a local and have ate at this establishment many times for lunch, so my review is in comparison to this restaurant, and not some biased view from someone who has never eaten here. We had a reservation at 7:15 and were promptly seated at a table right in the entry way(which is not usually there), and given menus(it was DineOut Boston, and were not provided those menus until asked, though we didn’t order off of them) the place was full, but it took 15 minutes to be greeted by our server, at which point she had a bunch of plates in her hand and said she would be back. 5 minutes later another waitress stops by and pours water. Knowing that they offer complimentary sparkling water and still water, I asked for sparkling though I wasn’t presented with that option. After water left the table, the waitress came by abruptly and asked if we were ready to order(didn’t say hi or apologize for the wait), we said we wanted some cocktails first, and had some questions about the food as my GF has food allergies and is a vegetarian. We put in our drink orders, and wanted to order appetizers, but the waitress hastily went off to ask the cook questions about the food that we had asked. Another 5 – 10 minutes pass and she never returned, another waiter saw that I was frustrated and came over and assumed the waiter duties for the remainder of the night. He asked about the drinks and was able to answer the questions about the food, almost 40 minutes into the meal after placing our appetizer and entrée order we receive our drinks. Sometime after we ordered our entrees our first waitress came back and asked if we were ready to order(without an explanation of absence or apology again, and without knowing the answers to our food questions). The appetizers took 20+ minutes to come out, so we are now eating our appetizers an hour + into our meal. The restaurant at this point has now dwindled to maybe 5 or 6 tables who are finishing up. Our entrees finally come out about an 1 hour and 20 minutes after we got to the restaurant. The food, was mediocre, I ordered a burger and my girlfriend a salad, the appetizer chowder I had was the best thing of the night, but was still very watery, but contained lots of clams and potatoes. Her portions were small and not worth the wait or the money. The desert was not good either, tasted like it was pre-made and ordered and though complimentary would never be worth the $ 12 they charge for it. The inside of the place is very nice, classy, great dining room, and upscale but not stuffy, they can accommodate larger parties, but call ahead for reservations. I wish we just had a better dinner. Overall, we had a cocktail, bottle of wine $ 65, two apps, and two entrees, and a free desert. With tip it was $ 170 and 2 hours +(left around 9:30) for a terrible experience. At no time throughout the night did a manager come over, and my assumption is that there wasn’t even one in the restaurant. Based on this experience alone I would never go back there, and would recommenced exploring other eateries in the area and in Waltham.

Lovely, charming place with spacious dining room. Rustic feel with wait staff that are enthusiastic about showcasing the menu. Lovely property. Every food item was delectable from appetizers to entrée to desserts. Service is intentionally leisurely. A dinner can easily take 3 hours.

Can we call 6 stars?! Classy, elegant setting. Clean, open. Service was«on point» — professional, classy yet so human/down to earth and with extra dosage of TLC. They are PROUD of what they do and the food they serve. Business lunch was fantastic! Elegant, a feast for the senses! I loved the mezze plate! I ordered the lobster cobb salad — artistry? Poetry in motion. Not overly dressed and well seasoned, exquisite proportion of avocado, bacon, bitter greens and lettuce, heirloom cherry tomatoes, lobster, local blue cheese — LOVELY. Desserts are dainty and so delicate yet packed with flavor. Mascarpone cream was ethereal. Their wine list is AWESOME. Can’t wait to come back! Foodies, UNITE!

The bread with the whipped butter… to die for. Décor is sophisticated, but feels like home. Wing back chairs, white table cloth, old rat pack music. Portions are large– enough to share! Would love t come back during our next visit.

An interesting restaurant in a largely residential area next to a park and the lexington pool. Nice ambiance, a great local«dress-up» special occasion place. Wait staff were young, but very friendly, enthusiastic and attentive. The dinner menu is fairly traditional, but done very well. The desserts are excellent. The duck entrée was excellent. The Scallops on lobster stew were also very good. The Salted caramel and mouse dessert was outstanding and the nectarine crumble was also ver good.
