Witherspoon Distillery

This place is pretty cool! Came here with a group of about 9 people and joined in on the trivia game Saturday night. Our group won first place so YAY. The drinks here are very good and very strong for the price. I’m not a big liquor person but I did find a drink I enjoyed very much.
I am taking one star away for there not being any food here which was a bummer. I was so hungry and needed some food to keep myself from getting drunk so I had to leave to get something to eat.
Its a great place to hang with friends and switch it up. More spacious than local breweries ive been to so its good for big groups.

Love this place! My hubby and a few friends visited this past Saturday. We took the tour which was very interesting and informative, and enjoyed the samples of the products afterwards. The bar area was really nice with a fire going in the fireplace, and plenty of inside seating. They also had a great patio with lots more seating, and a food truck was onsite. We all really enjoyed the drinks we ordered from the bar, and the bartenders took their time carefully creating each drink. We asked one of the bartenders if they had any snacks available, and he brought over some Chex mix for us to nibble on. We will definitely be back!

Took my hubby to the Witherspoon Distillery for his b day and had a blast! The place is very rustic looking and the staff is friendly. We grabbed a drink at the bar and then our tour started promptly at our scheduled time. The tour guide (owner) was hilarious and animated making the tour relaxed and fun! After the tour we were given samples of the rum and whiskey which were the perfect sample sizes to see what you like. The rum cake palate cleanser was also very tasty. We played some trivia before we had to go and purchased the single malt whiskey which was some of the best I have ever tasted. Def rate this establishment 5 stars! Go and support your local businesses!!!

This place is fantastic. Alyssa K. and I went for the tour and it was so funny and informative. Lots of «ohhh» from the crowd when they learned something new. I learned a lot about distilling rum and whiskey, including the probable reason why I don’t like most whiskey and scotch (I see you, fermented barley, I see you.).
The sampler was great though I’ll confess we were too busy talking to other people at our table to listen to the speaker go through each sample. The rum cake here is THE BOMB. You need it in your life. Get it, get it, get it. Like a whole cake. Just do it.
The only downfall here is the slow-​as-​molasses bartender. He took aaaaages to make our two drinks. It was, at least, a five-​minute ordeal. Other patrons commented on his slowness as well. It’s still a bar, and most of us were trying to make our tours, not hang out staring at the bartender.
Still, highly recommended. Good drinks, good tour, good fun, good cake!

Great place. Enjoyed the tour, the tasting, the staff and the drinks. Will be going back to hang out for live music. Good for groups or singles, couples and friends. There’s s huge outdoor patio and plenty of indoor seating. A must!

Great place. The tour was interesting and it was nice to be able to sample the spirits we had just heard about. The Bonfire is my favorite and be sure to try the drinks at the bar either before or after your tour. Groupon is the way to go for the tour-​ours had a $ 30 coupon for non alcoholic merchandise. The single malt reserve was my husbands favorite, but I loved the apple pie! We even bought everything to make them at home. This was a really fun place. I’m glad we did this and will bring friends back for drinks!

I have visited Witherspoon’s previous facility and taken the tour via Groupon. However, it was my first time to the new location last week. I went during Happy Hour (which didn’t have discounted drinks?) to pick up an engraved bottle of whiskey for the fiancé for Christmas. They had the engraver on site, so I jumped at the opportunity! The lounging area and patio of the new building is amazing! It’s gorgeous with lots more seating than the old building. A friend and I ordered 2 drinks which were delish (one fruity, one with coffee and bonfire).
I had to deduct a star because there were no snacks available (not even pretzels or something bar-​snacky) and the bar tender acted like he did not want to be there at all — no smiles, no conversation. Perhaps he was having a bad day. Props to the engraver, though, she did an amazing job and was fun to chat with.

Awesome tour guide and great story! Bought a bottle of bourbon and river rum and I’m hooked! Can’t wait to take my family for a tour!

Definitely worth a trip to Lewisville! Our your guide (Joe) was well-​informed and made the tour very enjoyable. At the end of the tour, we were able to taste 4 of their products and a bite of the rum cake. I would have liked more of everything! They have a great bar area and a patio for nice weather. The also had space for group events — including a group of teachers having a holiday party tonight. Nothing like dealing with kids all day to make you want a steady supply of alcohol!

Great tour, great booze, great fun. The staff and owner were amazing and made sure we left with a great appreciation for how spirits are made and what it takes to make a good spirit. I’m a fan!

I went to the grand (new location) opening. I was a bit confused by a few things. There were tours after tours of the distillery as promised, yet no one made any announcements for some of us to know to line up and where. I finally got a tour with ‘Joe’. HINT: he was the one in the extremely ratty ‘shoes’ that had ripped open on the tops and almost no soles on the bottoms plus from the way he wiggled his toes, they were 4 sizes too large so that the front halves curled up. Witherspoon PLEASE pay Joe so he can stop embarrassing his ever-​watchful wife, who toured with us. The staff seemed overly busy. I stood directly in front of one staffer to buy a bottle, he looked over my head THE ENTIRE TIME. I finally asked what was so interesting and he mumbled something while STILL looking over me head. I went to the bar and the poor pony-​tail newby was trying his best but he was obviously very green (Yes, they are hiring barkeeps). Lost purchase & lost returning guest. Natasha (who will be out on maternity leave soon) and her father were a MASSIVE saving grace!!! As was Nathan’s food truck and Janna’s engraving.

I had the pleasure of being able to see this beautiful distillery before it officially opens this weekend. From the minute you walk inside you get a Texas family feel. There are tables made from beautiful wood, rocking chairs next to a fireplace, couches for you to get a little bit more comfortable on, and of course their sleek new bar. Which displays all of their delicious alcoholic beverages. They have a great big patio if you would like to take your drinking outside as well. I drank their Bön Fire cinnamon infused rum, omg sooo delicious. I have yet to try their bourbon or whiskey next time! Sadly I was only here to drink but will be coming back when they open for a wonderful tour of this beautiful distillery.

Amazing rum, whiskey and bourbon! Best I’ve ever sampled. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was very knowledgable. I would highly recommend!
