McGill Propeller & Welding

Last week I hit a stump on the lake and it bent my Volvo Duoprop setup. I’d never used McGill’s before but everyone I asked said they were THE place to go.
The shop was honest that that might not be able to fix one of the props and talked about the cost for a used replacement if needed in that scenario. However, they were able to fix both and polish them up and they looked great! I appreciated the honesty and the over delivery.
Considering a new set of props was $ 1,200 I’m very happy at the approximately $ 150/​prop to repair them. I used the props over the weekend and they performed perfectly; like new!
While I don’t want to make a habit of taking props in for repair I will definitely be back to McGill’s. They also stock a selection of new/​used props.
