Lewisville Fishing Barge

Well this use to be one of our favorite spots to fish until tonight. We had just pulled in and car was following us down the road. Just turned off the lights and was starting to get ready to get out when the car that was literally 30 seconds behind us parked next to us and keep his lights on. The young guy that usually does bait came up to our window and said and I quote «if yall ain’t gonna use the barge I have to ask you to leave. Boss man doesn’t want anyone up here» will guess what buba I know it has been a few months since last time we have been by but you just lost a loyal customer that is a hair dresser and has been coming and sending clients from Frisco your way for five years. Next time let someone park and get out first before you ask them to leave. Don’t know what changed but they could use a class on business management and customer service.

This is a relaxing spot to fish. I catch crappies and sand bass here all the time.
Staff is usually friendly accept for the old short man with glasses that work on the weekend. He’s extremely rude and has a major attitude issue. Just ignore his dumb ass and you’ll be fine. Which is why I’m giving 3 stars instead of 4.

too smoky! air quality is really bad, it would be a great place except for all the smoking.

This place is pretty cool, pretty, pretty cool.
Imagine a house floating on the water, with square holes in the floor so you can fish. Not bad, it has rails so you won’t fall in. I take my wife sometimes and we kick back, I fish and she reads a book.
It has ac for the hot months and heat for the cold. If you don’t want to stay inside then go out on a kinda maze of piers, plenty of benches to sit or fish from. At night you can see a million stars, this is hard to find sometimes. Even in the burbs.
You pay 8 buck for a 12 hr span, so you can stay for a while and maybe come back a few hours later. It can get crowded at times.
