This is by far the most accommodating medical practice I’ve ever been to. From the receptionist that greets you when you walk in, to the Dr’s, P.A.‘s. and Nurses, all are fantastic.(When was the last time you smiled while being poked in the arm with a needle?) I’ve been in three times over the past year,(Blood pressure issue, nail in foot and a full physical.) They work with your schedule and make time to get you in. I haven’t had a long wait yet, and feel they spend the right amount of time asking questions and going over concerns. Much more like a small family practice than a bigger in and out«Doc in a box». I highly recommend Highland Family Medical Center. Thanks guys, SK

I’ve been a patient here off and on for over 15 years. Growing up, this office was my Primary physician. Upon going to college out of state, I was then considered a ‘new patient’ as I lived in another state for several years — meaning I wasn’t privileged to same day appointments when I had strep throat, etc. I decided to give them another chance this year as I’m pregnant and needed to establish my PCP again. Luckily, I got in same day, the office staff was a lot nicer than I remember dealing with over the phone and I was very happy to see Dr Bill again — he was always my favorite, I can’t say a bad thing about him, he’s wonderful. However, I’ve once again found the office staff to be incompetent or completely dishonest. I know my insurance coverage pretty well and was surprised when they charged me over $ 100 for an office visit. At my second appointment, I asked three different people behind the desk if my insurance was out of network, showing them my card and asking them point blank as I shouldn’t have a copay or deductible with my PCP. They all said they were in network. After calling my insurance, I found out I was correct, they are in fact out of network and have been since 2011. Like I said, not sure if the office staff is incompetent or dishonest, but I don’t appreciate being told I’m incorrect on my understanding of my coverage when intact I was 100% correct. The last time I saw them is in fact my last visit.

Visits went well for a few years then suddenly the common courtesy dropped off the radar. From 100 to zero Real quick! I had a PA that I never seen before ask me if I was gay«because gay people have a tendency to be a hypochondriac because I have a friend that is that way» guess what mrs PA I went to see a neurologist and the sleep doctor and guess what I did have a problem and it wasn’t being gay. I advised Dr Sone what had happen and he had no opinion on the comment that was made to me. All the plaques on his wall cannot make up for this less than perfect experience. I also see a comment by someone else that complained about Dr. Sone not wanting to do paperwork for FMLA or insurance. Mirror echo echo I got this same negative feedback from him too stating why can’t the emergency room do the paper work they are the ones who made the money not me. Arrogance! «The power of negative thinking» Dr Sone I hope you have worked on your people skills. I’m just one person I know sir. But I’ll end this by saying thank you and your part time PA for your professionalism. Good luck I know you guys will do great!

I have been coming to Dr. Sone for over a decade. Having several chronic issues, I see doctors a lot in my life. Dr. Sone is by far the best doctor I have ever had. His attention to needs and detail, bedside manor, and knowledge are so comforting and helpful. So many doctors just don’t take the time to inform, calm, and still provide excellent medical care. I can’t recommend him enough.

Contrary to the existing reviews, this is the best facility with the best doctors around. I have been going here for more than 15 years and am thoroughly satisfied. There are several physicians on staff so a new patient should see more than one if the first one is not his cup of tea. Being a woman, I saw a male doctor but felt a better fit would be a woman physician. That was over 14 years ago, and I can’t say enough about my doctor and the office staff. There have been complaints about not being called about blood test results. Do you have any idea how many blood tests they run in a week? They would never get anything done if they had to call every single person from whom they drew blood. I have found that if there is something I don’t understand, I call them with questions. Now there’s a concept! If you are new to the area, don’t let these naysayers scare you off. I am happy to vouch for them and highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

I was looking for a new Doc in TX. So I went on my insurance page and went through the whole doctor search thing. Dr. Daniel Sone came up and I made the appointment. The front staff was excellent both when I called and came in for the appointment. They were very fast, friendly, and efficient. They did have my birthday in the system incorrect and it seemed like it stumped them when I asked that they fix it. I literally only waited maybe ten minutes before being called back. It was the shortest wait I ever experienced and that was awesome! The nurse that did the initial stuff was very professional and friendly. I was a little grossed out when I had to give a urine sample and opened the little door to place my pee cup and there was already one in there! Gross — I don’t want to see or almost touch someone else’s pee cup! Dr. Sone was excellent. very friendly, professional, and funny. He did complain a little about having to fill out paperwork for my insurance company. That’s part of being the Doc there buddy! He was thorough with the wellness exam though and that was reassuring. The reason they did not get more stars is because after my bloodwork came back they did absolutely nothing. I never got a call back to explain anything. All they did was just send me a letter with a bunch of numbers I didn’t understand, a generic list of ways to lower my cholesterol, and a note advising a follow up in 6 months. For a new younger patient with high cholesterol I would have expected a little more explanation. Overall this place was okay. I will continue to go here because I do like the staff and the promptness of their service.
