A theater of live performances, bringing history and current events to life. Locally produced, with local performers. A traveling troupe. Founded by Maryat Lee in 1975. The founder also founded Soul and Latin street theater in East Harlem. Her first play, DOPE, is still sold so EcoTheater can proudly say they receive support from the sale of DOPE. DOPE was endorsed by the late and great Jackie Robinson in 1951. Often duplicated, but the original EcoTheater was founded by Miss Lee in Hinton WV. Currently headquartered in Lewisburg WV.
