Kitchen was on the speed of snail & had to Waite 57 minutes for food to come out. Just one server on the floor(can only do so much) and was hammered by five other families beside us plus TOGO orders and inquiries on the phone. I am in the restaurant business for last 10 years and I knew what exactly was going on. It’s a complete management failure. If there had only one server on the floor who aren’t expensive to pay. They must have no more one person behind the line doing all the working or there isn’t any excuses for them to take that long for 3 tandooris to come out while there was total five tables occupied. Worse Indian restaurant I have ever visited. Ok food. Zero customer respect. They are screwed.

I’m obsessed with Indian food. I go to Manaas often but I wouldn’t say it is the best out there. It’s really clean on the inside. There is enough parking. It gets busy around lunch. However, it is inexpensive and the customer service is awesome. The food is tasty but not to die for food. But I will branch out and try other Indian spots in Columbus until I find one that is on the same level as the Indian spots in Washington D.C. Btw my favorite is Naan, basmati rice, Tandoori Chicken and Chilli(sp?) Chicken, the green sauce(name?), Chai tea, and the rice desert. I’m sorry I cannot think of the names of some of these foods.

Delicious. I really like the ginger chicken. I like that the buffet is covered but would like to see uniformed servers.

Even Though we went there for lunch buffet, biryani was really good. I could sense the authentic hyderabadi chicken biryani. Loved the lentil soup and okra gravy. Good place for buffet lunch if you are craving for indian food.

Worst Indian food that I ever had. Chicken curry/items are very very bad as it tastes n smells like preserved for long time… Better stay away from this restaurant and live healthy. Maanas Management, Please learn what is Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biriyani. It is not mixing raw turmeric, chicken and rice. Advise you to remove the Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biriyani from your Menu.

Worst customer service at the end of the day for dinner. We were group of 12 people, they took the order around 9pm and came back with half the order and said missing items were out and they can’t take any order because the kitchen is closed and can’t replace with other items we have ordered. Horrible service neither the management, cook or servers were helpful. I would not rate even 1 star for this restaurant. We all ended up eating late night pizza that night. Will never go back to that restaurant ever. Worse service ever for sure… No respect for customer. Not sure how they run business like this.

Worst service ever. Ordered like a million years ago and still waiting for it. Thought to give them some good piece of mind but holding on. Courtesy. Doesn’t matter how good the food wiuld be I am not coming here again and would not recommend to anybody else to come and waste time here. Seriously useless.

@Maanas #Maanas — You cannot expect a worst Restaurant than Maanas when it comes to «Customer Service». If you want to have a relaxing time and good food, this is NOT the place… Above all if you have«SELFRESPECT» … This is absolutely NOT the place. Yes, their food is «not bad» but they treat customers as if they are OBLIGINGTHEIRCUSTOMERS by serving them food. The waiters typically behave badly. Today they gave stained cutlery, missed to give silver ware to everyone on the table, gave stained glasses, delay in serving. Well let me tell you DELAYISNOT A MAJORISSUEINTHISRESTAURANTASITHAPPENSPRETTYFREQUENTLY here, but what concerns me more is when the waiter instead of being apologetic and professional !! — says«YOUHAVETOWAITASWECANNOTDOANYTHING». I think there is a decent and professional way to convey the message. It continues. when asking for the Manager, the waiter said that if I NEEDEDTOMEETTHEMANAGER, I NEEDTOCOMEBACKTOMORROW morning to meet with him!!! I would strongly recommend that anyone who expects a decent customer service, relaxing time, interact with professional and good servers, do NOT come to this place !!! There are a lot more good indian restaurants in the same area and across the Columbus OH metro.

Uncooked or not enough cooked hyderabadhi biryani rice and chicken inside biryani is tasty. cook has to know how to cook biryani rice properly. Moreover, dry rice rice here and there. Did you make my biryani from afternoon leftover biryani rice?

I went to buffet today food quality and the taste of the food is not at all delicious. Naans are like elastic rubber and you can hardly chew it, yogurt rice tastes very bad as if they have preserved from a week.

We came in for a Sunday lunch buffet and really enjoyed it. They had more option than your typical chicken tikka masala and some curry. The food, overall, is very tasty. There was paneer masala, chicken masala, goat curry, idaly, sambar, bendi fry, veg and chicken biryani, tomato daal, and more. It’s nicely decorated and the staff friendly.

Hands down, the best Indian buffet in town because it includes North and South Indian specialties. If you’re partaking of the weekend buffet, take care to eat some of the fried fish(if you’re lucky enough to visit on a day when it makes an appearance). It is encased in a glorious, crispy, spicy crust. The fish is perfectly cooked and tender. Overall, this buffet is probably the best value in terms of quality and quantity. Docking a star because for the weekend buffet price, it would be nice to have a chaat bar.

ENVIRONMENT: We were a little disappointed because the chairs were stained. STAFF: The staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered tea and did have to ask for it again when it wasn’t brought out. Even once we were clearly done eating, they still asked if we needed anything. Also, you pay the waiter(we were confused at first because it seemed like we were supposed to pay at the counter). FOOD: The food is the reason I will be returning. We both got the chicken tikka masala and it was delicious. Both dinners came with white rice and naan. Everything was hot and fresh. We went around 8pm, which normally makes me nervous… you never know how fresh food will be at not-regular times. No need to worry about that here!

Experience: My friend and I stopped by Sunday night for dinner. she ordered a mango lassi and chicken tikka masala, and I ordered the veg-corn soup and tandoori roti. Server was attentive and polite; very sweet man. He comes back and apologizes for the kitchen no longer has mango lasso available nor the veg-corn soup. I was a bit bummed. I ordered the veg samosa instead. our order came out in a timely fashion. Here is the catch: my water was tap water, yuck. My friend sat facing the kitchen and watched the server pour mango lassi in a small glass cup and then fill the rest with water. I suppose that means my friend now has mango lassi to drink, but a watered mango lassi. just the one act puts suspiscion as to what else they do ok in the kitchen where customers cannot peer through. Dishonest business Always puts me off, no matter the rest of the experience. Food: Tasty! The filling of the veg samosa appetizer is very similar to a chickpea soup my friend makes a lot. A light curry aroma with every mashed potato, carrots & peas wrapped in it’s crispy shell. The tikki chicken masala was delicious, and chicken chunks filled a good portion of the dish(though I am one to prefer more sauce than chicken, which in that case was not too much sauce). Price is average, though I might say the main dishes can drop $ 1/$ 2. We are looking at ~ $ 13 for a smaller portion of chicken masala. The interiors are decorated with a simple sort of elegance, a soothing place to dine

Went for a dinner and completely satisfied with the food and the quantity was huge for every dish we ordered. Felt it was a bit expensive before ordering but by the taste and quantity, its value for money!!!

Best lunch buffet in the area — excellent quality, great selection, good price. Don’t fill up until you’ve tried the dessert option, which is usually exotic and stellar. Indian restaurants seem to come and go in the Polaris area, but Maanas has been around for a while and is consistently great. My all-time favorites off the menu: mango lassi to drink(like a mango yogurt smoothie), chicken makhani(buttery tomato saucy heaven) and a butter-dripping naan bread to help sop up the sauce. Get the gulab jamun(fried cheese balls in honey, just trust me on this one) for dessert at all costs. You’ll be full for days, but oh the party for your mouth. Treat your taste buds!

Excellent lunch buffet. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Columbus. Though none of the indian food here compares to moms home cooking or indian food in india, maanas does come the closest. I love there chicken 65 appetizer, i could probably eat a barrel of it. They also make excellent malai kofta, chicken makhani, matar paneer, shrimp masala curry, and vegetable pulao. Looking forward to my next trip there.

I came here a couple weeks back with co-workers for lunch. The lunch buffet seems to have decreased in price as I ended up paying 12 bucks or so with tip. so I’m assuming it was 9.99 plus tax(which includes a soda). The buffet here is pretty extensive, there are about 12 or so different dishes that they have available and about a third to half are vegetarian, so that’s a big plus. They have the typical chicken tikki masala, tandoori chicken, and other staples for a lunch buffet but also had a nice selection of other items. However, they don’t have samosas, which you typically see at a buffet. In my opinion, it tastes similar to Cumin(although Cumin’s nan is better) but there is more variety here, so I like that more.

Lotsa complimentary stuff and very tasty. Maanas is one of those restaurants who serve authentic Indian food and the credit goes to the chef. Everything that I ordered was freshly cooked. When I ordered my food the guy who took the order told me that it will take some time and believe me food was worth the wait. I ordered Kadai Bhindi, Dal Fry and Garlic Naan(Rice, Tandoori Roti and Desserts were all complimentary) I have tried Indian food at a lot of places the one thing I don’t like is that most of the restaurants do not serve authentic food and people who eat Indian food for the first time will end up assuming thats how its cooked. But its difficult to judge, its all personal experience that will make you capable of deciding the authenticity of the food.
