Even though they serve lunch & dinner items its Our go to for breakfast/brunch which is also served all day. Be prepared for a wait on weekends. they get pretty busy but the food is excellent! Therefore when u get there look for a seat at the juice bar first, it’s 1st come 1st serve. I highly recommend

I visited in early May 2016. I really dug this place. Great décor. great menu. I had the eggs Benedict and Beauty Balm, my dining partner had some kind of avocado toast with a side of rice(I don’t remember what it was called and it doesn’t seem to be on the menu any longer but it was a breakfast item) and the Lean Green Machine. Both dishes and juices were top-notch. The ambiance and décor were wonderful. The only weird thing about my visit was that there wasn’t any tea on the menu(either the paper one or the chalkboard) but when I came out of the restroom, I noticed a display of teapots on a hutch-like piece of furniture. When I asked the waitress if they served tea, she said yes. As we had already paid our bill and were headed out the door, I ordered a tea to-go from the counter. It ended up being oddly self-serve in a way that I didn’t expect. I would recommend this place without question.

Nectar Café is a solid breakfast and brunch/afternoon snack option in Lewes. Its décor is aggressively indie-cutie and it offers a refreshing and well-executed dining option in a town that until recently was comprised mostly of old-fashioned, staid restaurants and diners. The juices all have«fun» names that only adds to the overall hipster boho vibe — from«beauty balm» to «smarty pants» to «lean green machine» — and they’re all very tasty and hit that perfect not-too-watery, not-too-fibrous drinkable consistency. When the place is busy, the lines can get confusing, as Nectar does not have a sitting area for people waiting to eat in, so people just stopping in for a juice end up clumped together with waiting diners in the entrance area. Their brunch offerings are quite decadent — two of us ordered the breakfast sandwich, the most over-the-top breakfast sandwich I have ever had. You might think that a multigrain croissant sounds healthier — do not be mistaken, it was just as buttery and flaky as a regular croissant, with some lovely added texture from the(multi)grains. It also had both ham AND bacon in it; halfway through, we had to remove some of the meat because it was so filling. The french toast is also worth ordering — the brioche was creamy and the buttered pecan sauce was like a punch of nutty, treacly flavor.(While we liked the sauce, we thought it was a little much and would have preferred if it had been served on the side.) To top it all off, the french toast was served with vanilla ice cream — we felt like Marie Antoinette rolling in delectable excess. The seating process was a little chaotic — we found it strange that rather than seating people at tables in the back, which was quite empty, they instead seated people at the window counter and at the couches in the front of the café. Those spaces could have been used instead by people who had ordered a juice at the counter and wanted to sip and enjoy, or by people waiting to be seated. Once we were seated though, food arrived promptly and the service was very friendly and attentive. Overall, Nectar is my favorite brunch option in Lewes(and maybe in the whole Delaware beaches area) — we’ll definitely be back.

This is one of those places you want to keep visiting until you have mastered every item on the menu. Even absent the menu, there would still be a strong desire to return. The staff and hostess were so welcoming and easily made me feel at home. Vibe and atmosphere — perfection. The crew here patiently explained menu options with smiles and candid conversation. The repurposed furniture and light, airy decorum gave such a great beach house feel. The food was nothing short of refreshing, delightful and pleasing to both the taste and eye. Full juice bar! Balancing vegan/vegetarian menu options with non-vegetarian options(my meat eating companion was equally as pleased). I fell in love with everyone’s meals as waiters brought food out to café goers. This is one of those small town treasures. Must return!(Soon)

The food is fantastic but getting in and getting seated is miserable. You have to be in the mood fir front door staff with attitude. No one enjoys that. Get past them and you’ll have an awesome breakfast!

I have never been a fan of egg white omelette. I generally find them kind of disgusting. But for some reason theirs caught my eye — it is listed on the menu as a Spinach Lavender Omelet — Egg whites, spinach, red peppers, Caramelized onions, lavender and goat cheese. It sounded so strange that I had to try it. And it was absolutely delicious. The goat cheese gave it some tang and the lavender gave it a delicate flavor — it all worked extremely well together. They also have home made pop tarts and other tasty treats. It’s usually pretty crowded, but worth the wait. .. Wait staff was friendly and engaging.

Biked here and found the ideal amount of sustenance and alcohol to be worth the pedaling! Get the breakfast sandwich thing: rich croissant, perfect eggs, Dijon sauce was unexpected but fit the mouthful nicely. Great mimosas but their fresh juices are a bit over the top in terms of price. Still, a strong brunch choice in the more laid-back town of Lewes.

Cute little place! Juice blend selection is plentiful and interesting. I’m not a huge breakfast fan, but the menu made it hard for even me to choose. I got the apple and cinnamon oatmeal, which was delicious. Would have loved to have a cup option, as the bowl was waaayyy to much for me. Would definitely stop by again when in Lewes!

We had both lunch and juice bar drink. Both were great! Started with the bowl of kale chips, made in house and very good value, $ 6. I have seen bags one third that size in the grocery store for $ 7. Chips were light and very crunchy. Moved right into the burger with fries, very good. They don’t have a beer menu so you are forced to either know all the beer that the waitress is rattling off or have her repeat but she isn’t going to know how they’re made. And that came back to bite me. Picked the wrong beer, a pilsner by Dogfish Head, it was brewed with pear juice in addition to everything else. I’m all for new kinds of beers but please disclose it first. Yikes. Good lunch, great vintage décor. We went for smoothies next, and you could make your own in addition to the menu. So I did. I liked it and was very pleased that they added no crushed, blended-in ice, which some places do. When they add ice you don’t know how much juice you’re getting, and of course it waters down the flavor.

I ate here with a friend after hearing rave reviews about brunch. I had an omelet with blueberry pancakes. Everything was excellent. There was a very long wait so we walked around town. I also had a mimosa & it was made perfectly!

First — boozy apple cider and a cucumber gin fizz — both were exceptional and LARGE. My wife had salmon bib lettuce salad with citrus dressing and orange and grapefruit sections. I had the steakhouse salad with creamy horseradish dressing and a 7oz steak. The meal was truly outstanding in five stars hardly seems enough. The service is very good and an upscale atmosphere was very comfortable. It definitely goes on our list of places to which we will return.

When we are back in town Nectar is our go-to breakfast restaurant. Fresh and organic cooking that tastes like grandma’s cooking! We have fun with the juice bar selections. If you want it, they can make it. The food is so fresh, healthy, yet delicious. I don’t know how they manage to cook their sweet potato hash the way they do… we love it. We thought our kids would balk at a healthy alternative for breakfast. No, we were sooo wrong. The service is exceptional. Just expect long lines, especially during weekends. It is worth the wait.

Ordered juices to go – the Virgin Mary and Good Morning Sunshine. They were good, but not great. My sister mentioned that it definitely tasted fresh and made from all real fruit and vegetables. The inside is really cute. I’m a sucker for hipster decorated shops.

Pros — Food was awesome and my girlfriend gives me sexy time when I take her there. Cons — Sexy time lasted less than a minute and I had to pay for the meal. Def will return and I’m hoping that my angry Unilocal will warrant a free meal. Side note they have juice. Not OJ Simpson white bronco juice but the kind from fruits and veggies. Try some!

We visited today and it was charming! The entire restaurant was tastefully decorated for the holidays and food was great. I had a pickle Bloody Mary to start and steak salad. My husband had the BBQ beef brisket sandwich. Definitely would go again. Staff was very friendly. Warm and welcoming town too!

Love to see improvement and report on improvement. I had kept hearing rapturous reviews about the food at «Nectar», so I decided to give them another shot. Last time I attempted to get a smoothie there, but after waiting over ten minutes at the front to be waited on, I left out of frustration. I have been there three times in the past six months and I experienced attentive, friendly service each time. Prompt, polished and professional. I am happy to report that the breakfasts that I have had there were delicious. Artfully prepared, plentiful, bursting with flavor… all fresh and high quality ingredients. My personal favorite is the breakfast sandwich: eggs, bacon, tomato, gouda cheese, tomatoes on an amazing multi grain croissant. I have had that twice. The other time I had the waffle with bananas on top. Again. Delish. Big portion. Crunchy on the outside, warm and chewy on the inside. In both cases, I got the fresh squeezed oj. I am glad I gave this place another shot. Well worth checking it out.

Wow, this is by far one of the best meals I have ever had. First off you walk in and this place is absolutely adorable. The decorations are vintage but modern and has such a cute charm. The bar looked like it was made from restored wood. You are immediately welcomed with the fresh pastries and I was practically drooling looking at the giant homemade poptarts, pumpkin muffins and so much more. We went around 2 and were seated immediately. I really enjoyed how it wasn’t too loud and it’s much larger then it looks on the outside. We didn’t order any juice because we wanted to save room for our meals. As a vegetarian, I have high standards and this definitely did not disappoint. I ordered the vedge but got it on ezekiel bread instead with the sweet potato hash. The sandwich was absolutely incredible and I am drooling thinking about it now. And the sweet potatoes were amazing. Oh and it comes with the biggest homemade pickle I have ever seen. My mom ordered the chicken pot pie and she could not stop saying it was the best thing she has ever eaten. I had a bite of the crust and it was heavenly. Hers came with a side salad with a delicious homemade lemon dressing. My dad had the avocado CBLT and it was one of the biggest sandwiches I have ever seen. He made yummy noises all though out the meal and on our way home couldn’t stop talking about the sandwich. He got the buttermilk coleslaw and loved it. He tried my sweet potato hash and loved them. I did find a hair on my plate after finishing my sandwich and informed the waitress. She took my plate and unexpectedly the head chef came out to apologize and told me I wouldn’t be paying for the meal. He then brought me out a fresh batch of sweet potato hash since I didn’t get to finish mine and this batch was even better then the first. We ordered the chocolate avocado torte after reading so many good reviews on here about it. Honestly none of us really liked it that much. It’s very rich and heavy and the chocolate is a little bitter. Although it’s pretty amazing it was all vegan but I could’t taste any avocado. I should have went with the vegan carrot cake. Our waitress then informed us that the dessert was on them as well. I was totally shocked and thought it was incredibly generous. Our waitress had great recommendations and descriptions. I only wish this place was closer as we were only in Lewes for a beach day trip. I recommend this place and can’t wait to go back. My parents said we would do the 2 hour drive just to eat here. Wish we could have tried the breakfast as well!

Our experience was very different from the majority of people here. It was just a bit… weird. Firstly, we were seated at a table for two which was awkwardly in the middle of the room. Secondly, we ordered a juice which never ever arrived. When we asked about it 20 minutes later, our server said he would follow up. The girls at the juice area kept looking over at us and whispering to each other which was so odd… it was like they didn’t believe we never got the juice or something. Finally another girl came over and asked if we still wanted the juice… We said no thanks, don’t bother as we were almost finished our meals. Then she tells us ok I will take it off the bill for you… um perfect because we never got it. Eek. Not sure I why I decided to do this but they sell cute food stuffs so I went to purchase a jar of home made caramel. I waited at the cash register for a super long amount of time and finally the girl behind the counter decided to walk over to help me. She took a very long time to try to ring up the jar so I mentioned it was $ 6. Three minutes later she looks up from the cash register and says«$ 6.» Ok… UGH. It’s too bad because the food was decent but the weirdness of our visit made me not want to ever return again.
