We read about this place and we in the area and made a special effort to stop — not disappointed at all! We read about the décor and LOVED it! YES, the blow fish are neat! Each little bamboo booth is just what you expect from a vintage Chinese-American place — — — -it’s FUN! We had the won-ton soup and it was really REALLY good — thick homemade noodles & broth. The steamed dumping were also as others have described — homemade, thick and VERY good. Both of us had the lunch meals and loved the items! Plan to do the poo poo platter the next time we are in the area. Wish we were not hours away! 5STARTS!

Yes, this place has good food/drinks at good prices, however can they please get a cleaning crew in there!!! Really, take down the bamboo shades, turn on the lights and scrub the damm, floor, walls, windows, tables, bar, behind bar, bathrooms, cashier area, kitchen, etc. Thanks!

Best Chinese food I’ve had in the area. The chicken was like chicken and not some mysterious meat. The rice was delicious. Wonton Soup was the best I’ve had, the broth had some flavor to it and not overly watered down. Big thumbs up!

My wife and I had our first dining experience at Hong Luck Restaurant tonight. The food and service were excellent. The waitress was very cordial and brought our meals fast. My wife loved the bamboo booths and window treatments. We will definitely visit Hong Luck again.

The best Chinese food around, try the cracked shrimp, so addicting. The Hot and Sour soup, second to none. A very extensive menu. My wife and I have been coming here for years. The owners Colin and Kathy make you feel like family. They have one of best bars in the area. Try it out. You will be back!

I’ve been coming here for the past 15 years and always am suprised how consistently good the food is and the staff always greets you by name. If you find your self here make sure you try the wonton, pan fried dumplings or the steak kobabs. Get your self a zombie as well and enjoy yourself.

Great food and service, hostess/owner came to our table and introduced herself. Some reviews say the restaurant needs updating, we don’t agree. Updating would ruin the character of this truly unique place. The Tiki Bar is cool, the bamboo booths are pretty special, you feel like your in Hong Kong . I had a look through the kitchen door windows, the kitchen is spotless. My wife and I had a couple of combination dinners they were great and included desert. Give this place a try. You won’t regret it.

My favorite chinese restaurant! Best dumplings around. Owners are very nice and remember your face. Not the best fried rice though. I always get the Chicken and Broccoli, yum!

Went there last night with my sons. We have been to other Chinese restaurants in the area and this is our favorite! The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and the drinks were great. We had a variety of dishes and they were all outstanding. Cant wait to return again.

One of my favorite places to hang and bring visitors to. But only if you sit at a booth on the bar. The big back room is too weirdly empty for me. The food and the mixed drinks are awesome. The bar area us lively and fun.

I drove past this place a million times and I can say the appeal isn’t great, but after reading the reviews and being disappointed by others like Hong Kong Pearl I decided it was time to take a chance. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo, but instead of the sweet and sour sauce I like to get the General Tso’s sauce on the side. I also got an order of hot and sour soup, a spring roll, and vegetable lo mein. I have to say this will be my new go to Chinese restaurant locally. The chicken was cooked just right with a nice crunchy coating. The lo mein was cooked well and had good flavor. A lot of restaurants over cook the chicken or undercook the batter. The lo mein wasn’t bland and didn’t look like spaghetti tossed in soy sauce. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars so far is I have more to try and the portions are smaller than most as you can see from the pictures I posted, but I will say it filled me up. Overall nicely done for a pretty strange location and not so modern building.

The food is very good, I can’t find fault with that. Drinks were good too. I must implore the owners to please take down the bamboo over the windows; dust and clean it. And possibly not ever put it back on. And the dusty pufferfish? Cute idea, but dusty and maybe not all that easy to sterilize. Also, bathrooms are atrocious. Old, dim, depressing and dirty. I would absolutely return in the future, only with some serious cleaning and updating. Please.

After growing up in the area, and having since moved away for the better part of a decade, this restaurant is always on my list of places to eat when I come back to visit for the holidays. My favorite dishes are appetizers: Steak on a stick is a tiki bar classic and Hong Luck’s is the best I’ve ever had. Tender and flavorful chunks of marinated steak are served kebab style with pineapple. This is a can’t miss. Also, while not on the menu, the«No name shrimp» is umami personified. Lightly coated in cornstarch and fried, the shrimp are seasoned with delicious and mysterious spices and served with diced bell peppers and green onion. Alone it makes a great shared appetizer or you can order a side of rice and make it your entrée. The rest of the menu features standard American-Chinese offerings which won’t disappoint. Classic tiki bar drinks are a must here too. Sweet and fruity, the Zombie and Navy Grog are personal favorites.

Kind of a dive inside, some quirky details such as the puffer fish lights but clearly needs an update. The food is pretty good though. I had the ginger beef and it was great, the mushrooms soaked up the ginger flavor like little sponges. The hot and sour soup was disappointing though, more like hot and sweet. It wasn’t bad but just didn’t fall into what hot and sour soup should be. Overall it was good food and I will have to give their cocktails a try.
