Hands down the worst BBQ place ever! The crispy chicken sandwich was 3 chicken tenders on a soft roll with nothing else. The BBQ chicken was dry and overcooked. The sauce was great and that should have given a little container of it to make the dry tasteless chicken go down easier. The baked beans were pretty good, that’s the only reason they got a 2 stars from me. I will definitely not be going back

I have to say despite the less than favorable reviews I decided to give this place a try. I decided that this summer-like weather called for BBQ. PLUS The staff was kind and knowledgeable about the menu. They helped me pick a meal. The menus had decent options. The place looked clean. MINUS Food overall was bland. It needed salt or some sort of seasoning. Honestly the Pulled Pork was like something I could have made at home in a crock pot. It was dry. I would recommend a vinegar based bbq to give it some more flavor. The mac n cheese tasted like buttered noodles in a rue. The biscuits and burnt end beans were very good. .

Worst bbq I ever had. Ribs were tough, chewy and dry. More like jerky than ribs. Pulled pork was dry, no sauce. They must have forgotten to put it in the bag. Fries were good, hence the one star.

I’ve been here 3x. Each time hoping they might have gotten it right. I wanted to like this place because it so convenient. But alas no. This is definitely the worst bbq place ever. They have no clue how to make ribs. The baked beans are so nasty that I took one bite and tossed them. I don’t see how the owners of this place, who own the respected Pineville Inn, can actually offer up such slop to the people of Lower Bucks. I see it as a sign of disrespect for Levittown. They wouldn’t serve food like this at the Pineville for the people of Central Bucks. But for the people of Levittown any olé slop is just fine. Not for me. I won’t go here or the Pineville Tavern ever again.

So I had to give it a 2nd shot because I really want to love and support a local BBQ place, but once again it’s just not worth it. This time around I had the fried chicken, the new Bradford sandwich, collard greens, Mac n cheese, and mashed potatoes. The biggest winner was the fried chicken as most people have agreed with. The mac n cheese… thickest buttered noodle combo I’ve ever had. It was like eating a ball of flour mixed with some noodles. The mashed potatoes were just what it says. Mashed potatoes. The collard greens were loaded with vinegar, which might work for some but not me. It also had slices of garlic, which for me made me tentative on biting into a slice and getting blown away with it. The Bradford was decent as the pork had a nice smoke flavor, but the chicken was dry and could’ve used more sauce or jalapeño. Unfortunately I can’t give it another chance. Definitely prefer some BBQ down on the Boulevard like Mission or Famous Daves.

Excellent customer service! I ordered the brisket sandwich and a side of coleslaw and it was delicious. Good portion sizes. Also tried the«Sam Bradford» sandwich and loved it. The guys that were working there were very friendly and were happy to recommend the best items on the menu. Definitely will be coming back to Big Q BBQ!

I went back today for a brisket sandwich. It was delicious… not like I had in Texas but very good and tender. The meat was a tad fatty which is perfectly fine… too lean meat is dry and flavorless. I still like the roll & the careful use of sauce. I’m glad I went back!

Picked up a couple of brisket sandwiches from here around lunchtime today. The brioche-style buns were amply piled with thickly sliced beef. That was the plus. On the minus side the meat was bland and not fragrant — at least not what I would expect from smoked brisket. The meat was a bit tough, and while I would expect a bit of fat, there were a few chunks of it that I would have removed from the meat before including it on a sandwich were I preparing it for a customer. There was a bit of sauce on the beef that was too sweet for my taste(most barbeque sauces are guilty of this), but not overly offensive. The buns were slightly sweet — also not bad for commercial buns, but I would have preferred the brisket on rye bread or a baguette or something that wouldn’t detract from the flavor but would stand up to beef, beef juices, and sauce better than this particular bread choice. It is difficult to judge an eatery based on one item, and I would be tempted to give them another try.

I really wanted to be wowed and truly want to see the little guy win. However I bought into the adulation of some online publications. I suspect they were compensated for their favorable reviews. I got the $ 20 bucket through the drive thru. Staff was extremely polite and efficient. I got the mixed combo with chicken and ribs with mac n cheese n baked beans. The chicken was phenomenal the ribs were huge disappointment. I’m not talking about a flavor and or spice preference. I’m talking about straight up no taste or flavor and dried out. I’m no chef but the grocery store ribs I prepare are fall off the bone delicious. Bbq is an art and subject to subtle preferences. You simply can’t call yourself a BBQ place and fail at ribs.

Terrible BBQ! I’ve had great, good and just okay BBQ. This place is on the bad end. Nothing here tastes smoked or actually prepared in the facility. It seems like they make it elsewhere, ship it and re heat it. I ordered the brisket and pulled pork, both were not good. The brisket was half fat and tasted like a regular roast from a crock pot but with bbq sauce. The pulled pork was so dry and stringy I actually just threw it out. My bbq sauce that I ordered on the side had scraps of meat in them! Disgusting! And the absolute worst part is this place is trying to serve«good meats» on sandwiches but use cheap nasty soft potato rolls? There’s one of the best bakeries around sitting 20 yards away(Italian people’s) and they use garbage potato rolls. The roll makes the sandwich, If you are trying to charge top dollar for«good bbq» why are you using cheap rolls. Doesn’t make sense.

Damn, spot on, Ribs = Killer from start to finish. accompanied with collards and beans is the most delicious platter. If pork isn’t your diet hen stay away from this place— in fact go home to some forsaken country or religion where religion forbades you from eating some of the best delights’ available. Yep my first review was not so favorable but times change and so do places, This place deserves serious consideration as the BBQ is excellent and the beans alone are decedent seriously tr this place if you haven’t. You won’t be sorry. .

This place had the worst BBQ ever, the ribs were like charcoal, the BBQ sauce was par at best, oh and not to mention they were dry. The Beans were ok, nothing to be like OMGYOUGOTTATRYTHIS!!! The so called«Creamy Mac and Cheese» was dry too and not even tasty. I rather eat Kraft Mac and Cheese then this shit. Hell, if KFC had BBQ I would rather eat that and have consequences afterwards then eat here. So in result, don’t go here and don’t waste your $$$ go to Famous Dave’s instead.

Expensive for what you get. I had the 4 piece chicken platter, can get better for less right up the road. Also go the Smoked Bratwurst to go, it was good but nothing to write home about. Can’t see a reason to go back, nothing left me or the people I was with any burning desire to go back and have more of X.

This place is not worth the money. The pulled pork sandwich literally had no pork on them and the sides were extremely small. The quality of the product does not justify the exorbitant amount of money they charge. If you are looking for convenience, just buy a rack of ribs from Shop Rite. I will not be back to Big Q.

I am an avid fan of BBQ. I’ve tried BBQ all over, both North and South. I’ve have had a lot of different kinds. I even smoke my own Q. I ordered the brisket platter, with potato wedges. My wife ordered the pulled pork platter with Mac and Cheese. As best I can tell this meat is not smoked. My brisket was reminiscent of a fatty pot roast from a slow cooker. Neither of us could detect any smoke flavor in the meat, and the meat most definitely did not have a smoke ring. The sauce was bland and unimaginative. The biscuits have an off taste. My wife could not finish hers. The Mac and Cheese was reminiscent of the kind that would be served in a nursing home. The potato wedges were the only thing that were done well, though they wanted for some salt. This is not BBQ. Save your money.

One of the worst BBQs ever. I orders everything without sauce so that I could taste the meat. Horrible. Order brisket sandwich wo the roll and pork ribs. The meat wasn’t seasoned nor smoked. Lack pull in the meat and a smoke ring. The brisket i was served was in pieces as in the end. Yuck. You would have to serve on a bun and slather with BBQ to eat it. All meats were dry, unflavored and plain nasty. You need the BBQ sauce to give the meat flavor. For the Mac and cheese too white and milky. Like they were stretching the Mac to the distance. Guess what? It did finish wirh me. The entire 2 dishes were greatly appreciated by my friends dogs.

Big Q BBQ sits out in front of H Mart and looks like a weird Sonic Drive In. I’ve only sampled their wares once; buying a St. Louis Ribs dinner and Fried Chicken platter with sides of Chak & Meez and Baked Beans with Ends. Waiting in the antechamber felt a bit odd because while there were plenty of people in gray shirts in the kitchen, I did not see anyone working with the food. Too, as someone else mentioned, there was no odor of smoked meats, nor BBQ sauces, nor even of frying chicken. It was almost as if the food was prepared elsewhere and shipped here for sale. No smoker outside, either. The food is really just okay. The Chicken was the better of the main offerings. The breasts were large and juicy, although the breading would have shone off with more spice. The Ribs were dense and coated in a thick ruddy sauce, but it seemed that there was insufficient liquidity to really impact the meat. It made for a dry texture with underwhelming flavor. Knife and fork were helpful in separating meat from bone, and when gnawing at them with dirty fingers they were not particularly tender, but good enough to be worth the effort. I prefer a looser presentation with more gravy, but that is a matter of taste. The sides were actually pretty good. The Mac & Cheese was pretty much standard creamy fare, but the Beans were surprisingly hearty and well spiced. No rush to go back to Big Q, as there are better fried chicken places close by, and while a bit of up country driving is needed to find more authentic homespun Q, I would sooner cruise the countryside in search of that holy grail(or rack).

I do not understand why people think Big Q BBQ is expensive. I just thoroughly enjoyed the brisket platter, collard greens and a biscuit for $ 10.99. I also sampled a piece of the smoked bratwurst that my coworker ordered. His platter with a side of macaroni and cheese and a biscuit was $ 9.99. YUMMY and reasonable! FAST!(remember it is bbq to go folks) I had plenty of everything on my platter and I am a hearty eater. Their sweet tea is good without being overly sweet. Maybe the competitors are scared? Well, they should be! If you are used to meat cooked plain and BBQ sauce slapped on at the end then you are in for a treat. This is smoked low and slow… just right :) The only thing I wasn’t happy about is breakfast is not available… yet. For now BIG Q BBQ opens at 11:00 am. Drew, the owner, is a very pleasant and professional man. I told him I was very agitated about breakfast and them not being open when I stopped at 10:54 am. The drive through was blocked with a car and truck… yadda yadda yadda. He took his time to clarify my concerns. Once they get the lunch and dinner routine down solid they will begin serving breakfast. Fair enough.(and not being a Checkers fan) I did not realize that there are 2 drive through windows!(One on each side of the building). The one closest to Oxford Valley Road is the one open. There are some tables if you’d like to eat there. No inside dining.(think Checkers set up) All in all, I am very excited to come back to try the other items on the menu! For only being open a week or two it is only fair to say that they are going to rock the BBQ scene in Bucks county!
