Kind of a weird place, but unless you want to drive into California and Hollywood, you’re pretty limited when it comes to ice cream shops, so this place works. It feels kind of weird having an ice cream shop inside a comic book store, and it was frustrating being a patron because I felt like the kids working here were more interested in the comics than in providing decent customer service. I feel like shopping for comics would be frustrating here because every time I’ve gone in, there have been a lot of little kids running all over and screaming. The ice cream selection is decent-better than expected, but I really only go here because there’s not much as far as options around here.

Excellent ice cream. Not many places to get a hand dipped cone around here! Looks freshly painted and pleasant.

On my boycott list for poor service. Given the number of quality comic, game and food stores in the region, I’m baffled by the lack of knowledgeable or polite staff. Food is subpar and comic selection is less than stellar. My advice is to look elsewhere for good ice cream, sandwiches, cleanliness or manners.

I love their selection of Ice Cream. Never tried Hershey’s version before, but the quality seems very good. The cappuccino ice cream is my favorite. I’ve only tried one thing of theirs on their menu which was the BBQ pork sandwich. A little small, but very good. Affordable snacks such as pretzels, corn dogs, etc. Nice combination with the comic book element!

Never crowded, always clean, staff is very friendly. They have every flavor of Hershey’s ice cream! Way better than driving all the way to Bruster’s if you live in leoanrdtown.

Great little comic book shop. They also sell board games, card games and even a handful model rockets! Ice cream and hot dogs make a great little treat for the kids. I am sure if I had lived here in my teens I would be here almost daily to play Magic: The Gathering. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Haven’t you always wanted a comic book store that sold the bare minimum when it came to actual comic books, instead focusing on attracting CCGers, D&Ders or other gamers, or, even worse, attracting screaming, sticky-fingered children, whining for low-quality ice cream and pizza? Well, then, my friend, Big Larry’s Comic Book Café is for you. I lasted about four minutes, looking at the tacky vending machines, the line for cheap hot dogs, and the neckbeards in the back rolling dice, before I ran for my car.
