Looking at these reviews blow my mind. I’ve been coming here for such a long time and never once had a problem. Just came here once again and decided to give them a review. This diner is by far the most consistent diner I’ve been to in the Leominster/Fitchburg area. Every time including today they have given such generous portions of food where I can barely even finish it sometimes. Service has always been great. My favorite thing is even on busy days the food comes out so fast. Seriously don’t know how they do it. On top of all this, there food is extremely good and the price is so cheap for what they offer. I definitely recommend other people thinking about coming here to try it out and look past some of these reviews because you definitely will not be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for over a year and literally every time I’ve had a problem. I stuck it out because he loves it but I just can’t deal anymore. I can’t count how many times we’ve sat at a table, had several waitresses walk by us, and not a single one said anything to us. In fact today we sat down and I watched three other tables sit down after us, order their drinks, get their drinks, and we were still waiting for a waitress to acknowledge us. We get the same thing every time we go and almost every time I’ve had a problem. I get an vegetarian omelet, and so many times I’ve found chunks of various meats in it. That’s enough to turn me off from coming. Other stuff include getting decaf tea when I ask for regular(when I say something they say they didn’t even notice), burned toast, watery omelet, undercooked eggs, and dried flakes of basil when the menu says fresh.

Kind of nostalgic being back in an old style New England diner. Don’t be alarmed by the menu prices(maybe $ 1-$ 2 more than is typical), portions are very generous. 4 – 5 pieces of bacon and a lot of homefries. Staff was very helpful and accommodated the little broski.

Pancakes a bit thin, egg sandwich was really good and lots of bacon in it(a definite repeat next time), steak bomb omelet(steak was awesome inside), but the eggs were like a crêpe. Ice cold milk great. Wouldn’t recommend the flavorless potatoes. We come here often and stick with whatever we like. Staff is also always friendly — good value as well.

We stopped here a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning. Wow, it was jammed packed, but orderly. Great service and the food was very good and not greasy. Many options and very well organized kitchen.

This has to have been the busiest place I’ve ever been to that had such tepid, hard to chew and swallow food. Hamburger, hot dog, bulkie roll sandwich, breakfast plates, all of them had something odd about them. The server did her best, to be fair to her, but coming at the end of the lunch rush did us no favors at all with the kitchen for some reason. Will pass on by next time.

0 stars for service and 3 stars for food. Some of the wait staff are sorely in need of customer service training. I’ve been to the diner 4 times and 3 of 4 the service was not great to down right rude. I get they can be very busy so I wanted to give them a fair shot but after the last time, I am done. We were told to sit where we like. We sat at a table and a waitress yelled across the restaurant very loudly that we couldn’t sit there. It was very embarrassing as everyone in the place stopped and stared. Unfortunately, she was our waitress and was extremely loud and brash the entire time. If the food had been outstanding maybe it would have saved the time there but it really wasn’t anything special and the home fries were cold and very hard.

After seeing it on Unilocal we decided to give it a try, I got the #5 with ham and a side of corn beef hash. The corn beef hash came out with our meal but they were cold and I asked for them crispy. No idea why they were cold but I didn’t ask to get them warmed up because we waited 20 mins to get a table and we were starving and had to go to church. But other than that theme u is great good selections and we are planning another trip. My fiancé wants to get the breakfast burrito next time. She had gotten the t– something scramble. And she said it was really good and couldn’t finish the whole meal. One other thing I asked for the hand cut hash browns not to be spicy but they came out spicy but they just put Cajun spices on it and it wasn’t spicy at all. But really wish I had gotten my plain ones instead.

Been dropping in for breakfast for several years now(my parents LOVE breakfast out so they regularly suggest meeting up for it). Service is always prompt, there are lots of breakfast options, and the prices are more than reasonable. Servings are plentiful and they often have different specials available to try.

We’re new to this area, so we are out and about trying to find new eateries. Every weekend we try to find someplace new — breakfast, lunch, dinner, take-out, you name it. Courtesy of Siri, this was the first place recommended after our obligatory trip to Lowes for more home improvement stuff. I figured I would need a good breakfast to carry me through the«honey-do» list that was inevitably going to be presented to me as soon as we were done eating. We(myself and the wife) love local spots, and dives in particular. This is definitely not a dive, but it was full of locals! Anything to avoid a chain restaurant. We arrived about 1030 – 1100 on Saturday. Short wait, maybe 3 or 4 minutes, and we had spots at the«bar». No tables available(large groups, you might want to find someplace else). Place was packed, but even being full, there was enough room that we weren’t being jostled by the folks next to us. Waitress was very busy, but stopped to see us right away. Drinks delivered and food order taken quickly. Food in about 10 minutes, hot and just as ordered.(Breakfast, of course!). It was typical diner fare, but — it was served with a smile; it was quick; it was cheap; and it was good. Eggs done just as asked. Toast hot. Homefries really good. I don’t know about you but there are a lot of diners with bad service and cold food. This isn’t one. Particularly liked the ham I ordered instead of bacon — big, thick slices and not so brown, crusty and overcooked that it was inedible. It’s a bit further than Dinky’s or Lou Rocs for us, but worth the drive. Of note, we both were surprised at how clean it was. Hit the Boulevard or another local diner and you will know what I am talking about. We were both pleasantly surprised. Def. going to hit them up again for breakfast.

I had heard lots of good things about the North End Diner. I have to admit I was somewhat shocked when I saw the appearance of the diner. The inside of the diner resembled a VFW or a banquet hall. I was there at noon time on a Sunday and the place was still packed! People don’t flock to this place for the ambiance, the food is delicious! The hustle and bustle is part of the charm. The staff was very cheerful and friendly. the food took less than ten minutes from The time we ordered until we were eating! We had an array of food from poached eggs to biscuits and gravy. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Definitely my new favorite breakfast joint

After reading some of the reviews on North End, I think many of them forget I mention one key thing in their review – North End is a DINER. Don’t judge it as anything more! Diners are supposed to provide great, no frills food. The waitresses shouldn’t be expected to treat you as royalty, like many of these reviews suggest they should. Recently I went in with a party if eight for breakfast with no reservations. We all had coffee in three minutes and our food in under fifteen. The waitress was friendly, but NOT fake like at a Chili’s. North End is a diner, and a damn good one. Nothing more, nothing less. Please enjoy it as such.

For the life of me I cannot understand why so many people are loyal to this place. It’s always busy! What am I missing? We have gone for breakfast several times. The restaurant has been dirty every time we’ve been there; that includes tables and flatwear. The food is mediocre at best — and I stress ATBEST. The servers, to borrow a phrase, don’t seem to give a crap about anything except chatting with each other. So why have we been several times? My husband was trying to create a weekend/vacation breakfast ritual for our kids. We just stay home now and have Family Diner. I will never eat here again.

My friend and I randomly stopped in the North End Diner for a late breakfast/lunch on a sunny Saturday. We were impressed with the amount of seating as it looks much smaller from the outside. There were only a few customers as it was close to closing time. Our waitress was okay. She got my order wrong(wrong hollandaise sauce, wrong size orange juice) and she seemed very distracted by her side job of sweeping up the diner. I saw our food come out and sit for over five minutes before she decided to go and check on it. All the waitresses were loudly cleaning up all around us which I didn’t appreciate. I know they need to get the place clean but waiting for customers to finish eating might be nice. One waitress was loudly singing along with the music. It seemed like a very relaxed atmosphere, almost too relaxed. The food was pretty good. I loved the home fries. The menu is extensive and some of the sweeter items sounded delicious. It was inexpensive and filled us up but we’d definitely stop in earlier in the day as it wasn’t that relaxing to eat there as they were closing and cleaning up.

We’ve been finding that the North End Diner has become a convenient place to stop on the weekend to grab our first meal of the day. We often stop in on Saturday mornings to grab a bite while in the area doing some shopping. The girls in the place are always nice and we always get a table right away — even if we end up sitting at the counter. My partner always gets the egg, cheddar cheese and bacon on a bulkie with a side of fries and I’ve found that I can’t do without the ham, swiss, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo on a bulkie with a side of onion rings. That way, we’re both happy — one of us with breakfast, one of us with lunch. They’re super fast and it’s been consistently good. I hate that they close so early but that’s typical of most diners.

My FAVE Sunday tradition w/hubby! Love our regular waitress, Jenny. Food is quick & it is a VERY casual atmosphere. Expect 10 – 30 minute wait on weekends. If you like your traditional breakfast fare & don’t mind the bustling a diner atmosphere… then this is the place for you. They are also accommodating to food allergies. I have Celiacs and I have not had any problems dining there.

The North End Diner is always packed for breakfast. It’s an anything-goes atmosphere with everything from teenagers in pajamas to the post-church-Sunday-best crowd(not really). Let’s just say… severely informal. Their prices are reasonable, as long as you don’t add an item from the a la cart menu(one sausage patty was $ 2.50?!). Upbeat, friendly service and hearty, homemade portions. Best breakfast in the area by an arm’s length.
