Ruby Tuesday

Eat there on fri jan 8 2016 after being setted ordered drinks wait 5 or 6 min not a biggie but was asked about biscuits we said yes made our salads wait 20 mon no busit drinks empty wife had to go to bar for refill on soda finally got biscuit they were nasty just tasted doughy no flavor got our food fries weren t that good food and service was not good thr waitess kept making excuses about the busits and the drinks not being filled and when we first walked in we were told that they were an 10 min wait as we were waiting we counted at less 8 empty clean table just from were we were standing i hope the waitess was new in her job if not she needs a d ifferent line of work

I’d give Ruby Tuesday’s 2 & a half stars. Since I can’t, I’m giving them 3 for effort…
I think Ruby Tuesday’s is way overpriced for what you get, but I know that’s a «corporate thing» and not because of the local franchise owner. I’ve been to this one about 4 – 5 times, three of which was because I’d get a coupon in the mail for a reduced price salad bar — which they seem to have stopped sending. A coupon for a meal for half off if you get two meals, doesn’t exactly work when a person normally dines by themselves.
3 of the 5 times I ate there, I felt like they were operating a daycare center for some of the waitstaff. Since I was alone I sat in the bar area mainly so I could watch TV. But good grief, seeing a kid racing around and/​or screaming, made me wonder how management allows something like that! It was during off-​peak hours, but still, it was very obvious the kid belonged to one of the waitresses who wasn’t working that day.
The first time I ate there was on my birthday, and I’d decided to go all out, and ordered a NY Strip steak. What I was served was a very far cry from the hundreds of NY strips I’d eaten over my lifetime. It wasn’t that it was only a half inch thin, but it was fatty and tough. I sent it back, the manager was kind enough to apologize and agree with me. He sent out another one, and it was just as bad as the first. He asked me if I wanted another, and I told him I’d filled up on salad, baked potato, and iced tea so much while waiting, and to not bother.
But I commend him for genuinely trying to accommodate me, because not only did he have a 3^rd steak cooked for me, but boxed it up for carry out, along with another baked potato, and didn’t charge me a dime for anything! That impressed me to no end, and I praise for the guy is well deserved. The waitress that day was beyond nice, so I left her a huge tip. I’ve always loved their salad bars, which is the number one reason I dine there. Unlike another reviewer, I’ve never felt their salad bar items were processed — I don’t know how raw vegetables can be processed anyway…
I’ve eaten their ribs, and for the lofty price they charge, I’d say they’re so-​so, and not at all worth the money. Ruby Tuesday’s seems to put a lot of money into ambience and upscale-​looking menus, and they need to pay closer attention to providing first-​rate food, especially seeing they’re asking an arm and leg for it!
I’ll go back, but only with a coupon I can use.

I am just dissappointed. It started with the extremely lackluster greeting by the 3 hostess at the door, and the even more deadpan walk to the table. Not happy to see anyone. It was really awkward, actually. The food was moderate, but the salad bar, just tatses like processed foods, not fresh and the sneeze guard over the bar was yucky. I will go back to the one in Hickory, much more friendly staff and happy to work, as well as the over all experience is better. Dissappointed.

I almost always get a to-​go order. The food is consistently delicious and the staff friendly. They have healthy options that taste great which seems rare. Also, you can almost always find a coupon online at retailmenot. I usually just open the coupon on my phone, and the server can get it from there.

Other Ruby Tuesday restaurants may be ok (the one in Cary is great), but not this one. Slow, inattentive service. Food was very bland and unappealing. It’s like the employees just don’t care about doing a good job.

Like any, it’s safe. The bar area is (compared to other cities) unusually free even during the dinner rush, but the bartenders seem to assume you are there just to drink. Three visits in, I have yet to be offered a menu without asking for it, even after ordering a drink, waiting, receiving the drink and waiting some more.

I loved Ruby Tuesday when I lived in Atlanta but the wait staff ruined this one for me. The first time I went my husband and I were seated and the place was packed. We understood that they were busy so it would take awhile, but 45 minutes later we had yet to get a drink or even a menu yet people around us ate, left, and were replaced. We ended up walking out. At the door the hostess asked if we enjoyed our meal and we said «what meal?» and stated what happened and she said «Oh well’
A few months later I decided to try again. I went in right after the lunch rush and there were a few tables with business people doing various lunch meetings but not that busy. This time I got the menu and drink but little attention after that and no refills. She was to busy kissing up to the business people and ignored me at the next table so I ignored her tip and left her a dime. To bad because I’m a good tipper.

Odd rules about happy hour prices only at the bar. Why? Well apparently it’s to bring the bar more business as if it’s a different company? So I opted for no cocktail at all. No water brought to table until I asked. Stale smell from mildewed cleaning towels and table sticky. Food: I ordered the alpine burger. Meat was bland and dry, the fries we overcooked. Disappointing.

Fast and curtious service, consistently good food and an excellent drink menu make this one of my favorite chains in Boone. Try the «Typhoon Shrimp» or the Bison Burger next visit.

I’ve eaten at Ruby Tuesday restaurants that I did not care for at all. This one is consistently good although I order the same thing every time.
