Lifetime Fitness Salon and Spa

I signed up for Lifetime while visiting family in Denver. When I started to work out here at the Lenexa location, I found out my Company had a discount. Their membership services were so great to not only change my rate to the discounted membership but they credited me the amount I overpaid for the three months I had been paying the other rate. I also recently tore my Achilles’ tendon and the membership services here has been incredibly empathetic and were able to put my Team Fitness class payment on hold for me while I am recovering.
If you like cardio-​based strength training you would love their Team Fitness class. It’s an hour of circuit training. Gary and Travis are great afternoon trainers for this class.

I am a member at this gym and I really love the gym. The facial was absolutely awful. It started with the people messing up my appointment. When I showed up they stated they tried calling multiple times, but couldn’t get a hold of me because they had double booked on facials. Turns out they had the wrong number the entire time. When I got back into the room the facial lasted 20 minutes. I was really confused why my facial was only 20 minutes. I inquired at the desk and they stated the intro facial is only 30 minutes. The facial was awful… She slapped a mask on my face and then said I could get dressed. I will continue going to this gym, however, will never go back to the spa.

Terrible service. Literally the single worst massage (if you can call it that) that I’ve ever had. Bethany asked personal questions and spent the hour digging into a single spot in my neck. She worked nowhere else on my entire body. Not only this, but it wasn’t a strong massage, it was rather a painful digging. I left so sore that the next day I went to my usual massage therapist to have new kinks worked out. I do not recommend.

My introductory package to my gym membership here included a facial and massage. The facial was great! However, the massage was SPECTACULAR! I’ve been back again since the first one as well.
Tamara Usman gives a great massage. The room is soothing and QUIET (unlike some places that have thin walls with a Mexican joint next door). Tamara visits with you to see what your main needs are, and adjusts accordingly. There are a variety of oils to choose from, and she makes sure the temperature of the room and bed make you perfectly comfortable.
A big thing for me, whether it’s a personal trainer, massage therapist or anyone providing one on one service is that they are PRESENT in your moment, and focused on you. Tamara does this perfectly. 100% of her energy and concentration is on YOU, and believe me, this does make a difference in your massage.
I’ve had dozens of massages over the past 20 years, and this is absolutely the best one I’ve ever had. She has so much positive energy, great hands and can make the massage as light or as deep as you like it. Tamara is an absolute delight to be around. She is also encouraging on whatever health and wellness journey you are on.
I have never been so impressed by a massage therapist. OH, and even though it’s worth more, the full body massage is between $ 50-​$ 60. Thank you, Tamara!
