Very very messy store! I have been to this location several times because I do love the prices and the variety of clothing, but it’s such an unorganized mess I end up leaving after 15 minutes. I recommend visiting the location on 119th, they keep their store in much better condition.

They are doing construction to the lot next door so getting in and out at the moment was a little dicey… But my experience was a little bit better. I was finding what I wanted last night and in my size. This store seems to have so much more than the store in Shawnee. We were there pretty late and it was Wednesday, so the store was not crowded. But in the end we came we saw and I may just drive out of my way to come back to this one!

Wow, this poor store sure has taken a beating on Unilocal. So here are some positives: This store has some sort of green certification. That’s kinda cool. Glad Kohl’s cares about that. The staff here are always friendly. The sales are really nice. If you sign up for email alerts, you can get 15−20% off your total purchase multiple times each year. I never go there without being armed with a coupon. At our last trip, the hubby got two pairs of name brand dress pants and I got a pair of earrings. Total bill? $ 32. Yeah, you read that right. The negatives? Not many, but here’s a couple: Sometimes they don’t have enough people manning the registers, so if you’re impatient and must be checked out in 5 minutes or less, you might be grumbling. On our last visit, during the after Christmas sales, the store was pretty well trashed. I don’t blame this on the employees so much as rude customers tearing up the racks and dumping things wherever they like. It takes a lot of manpower to clean up after a major thrashing. All in all, this isn’t a bad place to shop and some great deals can be found here. It’s also nice that this place is a freestanding building and not part of a mall of some kind, so it’s easier to avoid the mall frenzy during the holidays.

I have to bump the review average up half a star from the other reviewer. I love THIS Kohls because it is not a big one, and I can usually find what I want at this one! I love it because it is close to home. I love it a LOT because it is open till midnight during the holidays, and I hate xmas shopping that involves crowds. I love it because I can use a 30% off total purchase coupon with a 60% off sale and pay thrift store prices for decent new stuff! I love it because when I need basics like camis, undies, tshirts, towels, or sheets, I can feel like I am getting decent stuff for a teeny bit of dough! I love it because employees are ALWAYS knowledgeable and friendly! I love it because of their stupidly awesome return policy! I always lose receipts, and all it takes here is my ID and thet can look it up! I get the previous reviewer’s observation of the mess during a big sale, but you know what? When I don’t find what I want, I shop online for the same awesome deals, and it’s delivered fresh and neat to my front door! In conclusion.. .I love this Kohls above all the others. The end.

I love Kohls. I always have — and I have a Kohls credit card to prove it. I just relocated to Kansas this past month and let me tell ya… the Kohls out here are nowhere near up to the standard that they are in Colorado! I went to find matching undergarments and found the whole section absolutely trashed. I couldn’t find an employee for help to save my life and when I did she was very stand offish and unhelpful when I pointed out that none of their undergarment selection matched. The few that did you had to hunt around to find the matching pieces. I basically walked out of that store tense and frustrated. The store in Olathe is not much better. It is definitely cleaner and more organized — but I still couldn’t find an employee for help and they STILL didn’t have matching undergarments. So even though Olathe was a better store I still left frustrated and annoyed. All in all — the Kohls is like any other — same items, same prices, same layout. But there is definitely a difference in customer service and cleanliness across state lines. If you are a fellow Kohls lover I would definitely avoid the Lenexa store. At least the Olathe store is comfortable to look around in.
