I’ve been here a couple of times… and I like the Dr. Hagg he is really professional, however his nurses not so much. I’ve called the nurse line several times asking about my prescriptions because I’ve never really been prescribed anything in my life. I either never get a call back(which happens more often) or get one days later. If I could schedule an appointment and not have to pay just to ask a few questions about my prescriptions I would. I would rather talk to Dr. Hagg. But it doesn’t work that way. The nurses are supposed to take care of minor needs so the doctor can handle patients and their appointments. I know… I’ve worked for a doctor’s office for several years. I might be back, I might not. All I know is, when it comes to questions about medications, I’d feel more comfortable with someone who can answer questions, even after an appointment.

I arrived early to check in since I was a new patient and filled out the paperwork. I wasn’t actually greeted by the receptionist for a good 8 – 10 minutes though. When I was taken back to the room I had to wait over 40 minutes sitting in a thin robe. I could hear people talking in the next room over hoping the pause in conversation meant they were done and I’d be next, but it never was until a lot later. Finally I was seen without any apology or thank you for waiting as long as I had to. Early on my mole examination, he said some should be removed. I told him I scar easily and wanted to go to a plastic surgeon my family knows(and has had mole removals from with no scaring) and he promptly told me whether it was him or them I’d scar. The difference would just be the shape or size of the scar but better I go somewhere else and have them scar me than him and not have it on ‘his’ name. I felt like he treated me with little respect and that what I told him did not matter. He wrapped up my 10 minute exam by telling me me there was a patient next door that was in a hurry to get somewhere so he finished talking to me about my exam already out in the hallway with the door wide open, as I’m sitting there in a paper thin robe; not to mention patient confidentiality being broadcast for everyone in the surrounding rooms, office, and possibly waiting area to hear. He finished saying I should get my acne looked at later and left, which was not why I went to see him in the first place.(I had only a couple small spots!) POMPUS&RUDEMAN. I just wish there were more reviews before I went and saw him and spared myself the experience.

Dr. Haag is a board-certified dermatologist. I have seen him for check-ups, as my aging bod has started to show signs of too many suntans and sunburns over the decades! I like the fact that Dr. Haag seems to be very careful and thorough in his examinations. He went over my whole body, from scalp to feet. Fortunately, all I have are keratoses(sun spots) and nothing nasty going on. I went in today because I have suddenly developed a couple of bumps on my scalp. They turned out to be viral warts(which explains their rapid growth) and Dr. Haag froze them this afternoon(using liquid nitrogen). It was rather uncomfortable while that was going on(my tastefully understated way of saying it was excruciating) but Dr. Haag had explained clearly that would be the case, so I was prepared to grit my teeth and bear it! And it was only for a minute or so. The things we do for vanity! I’ve also developed some keratoses on my face and asked about getting them removed. Since they’re not malignant it would be considered a cosmetic procedure not covered by my insurance, but Dr. Haag quoted a price of $ 150 to remove all of the spots(a couple of large ones and a number of small freckle-like ones that could eventually grow larger). That seems very reasonable and I will probably do it in the next couple of months. These would also be removed by freezing, and the wounds can take 4 — 6 weeks to heal fully, so I’d look kind of beaten up for a while, but after that I should be radiant and gorgeous again! Well, as much as you can be when you’re in your sixties! Dr. Haag’s office is on the north side of College Blvd., a block or so east of Pflumm. Drive into the little office complex and curve around to your left — his office can’t be seen from the street. All in all I can highly recommend Dr. Haag. He doesn’t seem to push procedures and doesn’t consider himself to be running a medi-spa. Ask him anything, he’ll explain it all carefully for you, which I certainly appreciate. And even though his practice is pretty busy I didn’t feel like he was rushing to get to his next appointment. His staff also are very pleasant. If you see him I think you will be pleased, too!
