Amy’s Hand & Foot Spa

I’m new to the area and came here to get my nails done after reading the Unilocal reviews. After the first visit I would recommend this place to anyone! The facility is nice and the staff are super friendly. Amy takes the time to learn her client’s names and makes sure to give you a friendly goodbye when you leave.
I made an appointment both times I’ve gone and have gotten in right away. Also, both times I’ve gotten Kevin and he does an excellent job! After my second visit I made sure to get his name so I can request him the next time I go.
I will definitely be a regular at Amy’s! :)

New favorite place! I made an appointment and got in fast! The place is super clean, the staff is friendly and nice, and the color choices are plentiful. I will go here from now on!

Most other salons will keep taking people so then there is a wait for those that have an appointment. Amy’s respects your time. MAKE an appointment and you wont be disappointed. LOVE this place.

I love Amy’s hand and foot spa! I have been here twice now and I think it has officially become my go to nail place. They do a great job and everything is clean, and the people are friendly!

No so good gel polish. I went last week and already need a fill. I won’t ever go back. :(

Customer Service is here, folks!!! I’ve tried several places in the area and all are equally mediocre at best. Until I found Amy’s.
When you make an appointment, they are actually ready for you. Imagine that! :) plenty of staff to take care of appointments and walk-​ins alike. They offer you water and did I mention they have candy out for the sweet tooth like me?
Everyone is extremely friendly! At the same time, nobody will talk your head off and if you’re like me and nail salons is your quieter catch-​up time for yourself, you will love this place.
Their hours are great too.
I’ve given gift certificates to friends from here and everyone loved it.

I definitely will be returning to Amy’s! Everyone working there was so kind and I did not feel rushed. Julie did my gel manicure and took her time to ensure a great job was done.

I went in and took a shot on this salon based on the Unilocal reviews. WHAT A GREAT PLACE. Not very busy, 3 ladies were getting their nails done. I got a gel manicure, LOVE IT. Very clean, didn’t smell like normal salons like chemical, wonderful. This is a newer salon, one year. And they speak English and not to each other they actually talk to the people they are painting their nails, what a concept other places forget. I will be coming back again!

I’ve tried out 4 or 5 other nail salons in the Lenexa/​OP area and have finally settled in on this one. Main reason: the gel manicures actually last. I’ve had french manicures done here 3 times and every time they lasted 3 weeks.
I haven’t seen any of the cleanliness issues one of the other posters did, but I can agree that they don’t always have a lot of staff on hand. So it’s best to make an appointment here.
It’s not a super cheap place and I’d say the staff is average as far as politeness, but the manicure looks amazing and it lasts. And that’s what it’s really all about for me.

Amy’s is the best nail salon in this area hands down. The salon is very nice and clean. They are very accommodating. My gel manicure and spa pedicure were excellent. Overall a great experience and job well done.

My mother, sister and I all went in for pedicures. We called ahead and made appointments for the same day, easy peasy. We all three sat together and got the «lemon» pedicure. It was wonderful. The place is very clean and the people very friendly. They had a good selection of OPI nail polish as well as a few others. Our massages we long and relaxing. They all really took their time and we felt totally relaxed. We all three agreed that it was one of the best pedis we’d had and we will definitely be back.

I’ve been getting manicures for over 40 years so I think I’m a pretty good judge of service/​cleanliness /​quality. Amy’s is extremely clean (I’ve watched each basin be disinfected) all manicure tools come from a sealed bag. I’ve had about 15 manis from here and all lasted over 3 weeks! This is wonderful since in my job my hands are in water almost all day. Yes I try to make appointments but if I do walk in I appreciate that there may be customers before me. I’d rather be told to come back in an hour than sit and wait. They are a great addition to Lenexa! Give them a try. You’ll love it.

Please Read: I drove by and saw a new salon in Lenexa so I decided to give it a try and I wish I avoided this place! I went in and there was only one lady. I had to wait 40 minutes which was fine with me but she told me I should have made an appointment in a disrespectful way. I got a manicure and pedicure. First, the tubs next to me were filthy, and they just left it there for the next customers. There were files and buffers laying around and she did not throw them away. The pedicure service was rushed and the massage was terrible! My husband could have done better.
As for my Gel Manicure, it only lasted 2 days! The lady told me it should last for weeks! From the moment I got there, I knew I shouldn’t have gone in by the way she approached me. Very poor customer service, she did not care what I wanted. This place is new so I’m sure she is an inexperienced nail technician.
Will I ever go here again? Absolutely not. Paid a lot of money for a terrible job and I question the sanitation of this place which is the reason for the 1 star. When I went home, I still had cuticles on my toes and 2 days later, my gel polish started to peel off. Terrible, AVOID by all means.

This place is great! Everyone is friendly and they make sure you leave happy. The prices are very reasonable as well.

I went today on the recommendation of a friend. I was very satisfied. Amy did my pedicure and did a very good job. I was very pleased with her work. When I arrived about 11am on a Saturday, all techs were working. Amy said it would be about ten minutes till they could get me in. She was right on with the time. I will definitely return. So glad to find a close place I liked, otherwise I was driving about 25 minutes away.

Stopped by this morning because I had 2 nails that were cracked down low. Amy patched up my breaking nails and gave me a great manicure. This salon is super clean with friendly service. If you don’t make an appointment, you may have to wait. Isn’t that how it works everywhere? It will be worth the wait, they take their time to focus on quality!

Went to check this place out to get a pedicure on my day off work around 11am. When I walked in, there was one other customer and only one nail tech. I wasn’t acknowledged until I said hello. I stated I wanted a pedicure– and was told «you should have made an appointment we can’t help you now.» I would have been happy to wait my turn– but I will never be back and encourage the manager to teach her staff some manners.

The one star has it all wrong! This place is amazing! I have been there twice… yes I always made an appointment (duh, at nail places here in the kc area you should only made appointments!) and I have always been seen right at or before my appointment time. Note they are a little low on staff at this time… but that’s because they just opened and I like to think that means that they are only looking to hire the best so they are being choosy !
I was super excited to see this place open right down the street from me… I actually brought my mom and sister on my second visit.
Besides the other mentioned things above… it is SUPER clean and brand new with a really cool salt water fish tank in the middle of the store, competitive pricing as well.
Great little place to get your nails done! I’ll ONLY go here from now on.

Amy did my nails today and she did a fabulous job! The salon is brand new and oh so clean. Amy was very friendly and gentle with my acrylic nails. She has great attention to detail! You won’t be disappointed! I will be going back again for sure.
