Best cheese curds I’ve eaten. Friendly, helpful service. Other cheeses and sausages have been delicious.

The best! The folks who work here are so nice. Just what you’d imagine as you pull up to the little shop on the edge of town in the middle of Wisconsin. The fresh cheese curds are amazing and you have to try the mozzarella strings that kind of look like spaghetti. We stop by all the time when we travel south.

It’s really, really good to see that Kugel’s is still around, as I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Not only that, but they seem to be doing well — I went during a Packers game(when most people would be glued to their TV), and there were probably 8 of us in the store. The selection is awesome, with so many different kinds of cheese, from the basic(brick, cheddar, etc) to the special(raspberry cheddar, smoked cheese curds, etc.). They also have various sausages and meats to enjoy. It doubles as a bit of a souvenir shop too, should you need to prove to everyone that you visited the megalopolis of Lena, Wisconsin. Prices are fair. Service is very friendly.

A whole lotta cheese and other good stuff from this friendly, family owned business. Always a must stop going to and from the UP cottage. If you’re a fan of blue cheese, ask for the buttermilk type — it was amazing! I also get my annual fix of malted milk balls. I’ve had them everywhere and nothing compares to these — very chocolatey, rich and addictive. Don’t miss!
