I honestly used to love their food. I live and work In Lemont. I am polish and I always told my friends about this place. I went there recently and I can say I will not be back anytime soon. the staff is very rude. these teenager girls are very uneducated and helpless… Asked one of them what kind of pierogies they had, she said and I quote: amm I don’t know, regular I guess.” seriously ?! I work 5 min away from their store. I tried their hot lunch and by the time I got back to work the food was cold ! They microwave it to hear it up… I thought it was suppose to be a «hot case» lunch…

So, the epilog is that I purchased a delicious Breaded Pork Chop cooked to perfection for the ride home. It was nestled between a slice of fresh polish rye bread. My front seat was littered with more than a few bread crumbs…“It was worth it”. The only thing missing was a can of PBR to wash it down, but remember… I was driving. This is probably one of the better Polish Deli’s I have shopped in terms of variety. However, I am a firm believer that people are gullible when it comes to Polish Deli’s because they want everything to be authentic in every possible way. And they believe it! Not always the case… Yet, every Polish Deli has it’s Pros and Con’s. Celina’s has a great selection of Kielbasa, Pierogis, Potato Pancakes and Rye Bread, basically all the usual suspects. But I ask the question, «how do you make authentic Fresh Polish Sausage without a hint of Garlic»? That’s Unthinkable! If your into Beet Salad, Dill Sauce, Tripe Soup and anything Broccoli… this might be your place.

I kept hearing about Celina’s and decided to go see what all the talk was about. Boy am I glad I did! Deli meats/cheeses are so fresh and delicious. This is my new go-to place for lunchmeat. I also tried the potato pancakes and beet salad. Will definitely buy again.

AH-MAZING Polish food. You can stop in here for a quick to go lunch and choose from many of the classics in the hot food section. Two meats and two sides for 6.99, how could you go wrong?! The rye bread is phenomenal. It is always very fresh, chewy and tasty. Celina’s has a wide variety of perogies: potato, mushroom and sauerkraut, meat, cheese and even blueberry. Just make sure you get there early so they don’t run out of your fav! The fresh polish sausage cooked in their homemade sauerkraut is to die for. This little deli is so authentic the accommodating ladies barely speak English. A definite must try!

Try a made to order deli sandwich priced under $ 4.00. Freshly sliced meat, cheese, tomatoes, onions, pickles, lettuce and condiments all to your specs. Baked goods at the State St. Location, perhaps all 3 locations. Full service deli with a great selection of fresh and smoked sausages.

Either location is awesome. Great food, deli selection and very friendly workers. Soups, sandwiches and bacon buns are awesome and pastries/desserts are out of this world

I love this place. Great selection of authentic Polish, Lithuanian, Ukrainian and other Eastern European foods. Although the place is small, the deli selection is tremendous and very busy. This is a good thing as there is a lot of turnover, which means fresh ! Very reasonable priced as well. The meats and cheeses in the cases are per pound. Half a mile up the street at Jewel you can buy the exact same product, ½ pound, same price. They carry all the national brands but also have a big selection of food made on premises. It tastes homemade.

This is my favorite place to go when I am passing through Lemont. There deli is great with very good pricing but the prepared food is also very good. I like getting potato pancakes every time I go there. It is great for good food on the run. Love Polish food.

This is a really nice small place! :-) I always go to one of the Celina s to buy bread, crispy fresh rolls, sausages, cold meat and cheese. They are delicious! And so authentic! And it s not really expensive! (Bigger grocery stores also have«authentic» food, but a lot of times, they taste nothing like the original and still are a bit too pricey.) I know, what I am talking about, because those are all the things that I used to eat in Germany. :-) I love to go there to get things for breakfast. It s like grocery shopping in the olden days in little mercantile stores. :-) People there know each other. There are a lot of costumers on Sunday morning, because lots of them stop by after they went to church. It s funny to be there at that time, because you feel like being somewhere in Poland, not in the states. :-D

I used to come here for lunch once a year when I worked the area. What was I thinking? I now come at least once a week for the mushroom soup — mouthwatering!, the ribs(unbelievable price), the cheese blintzes(my husband is now addicted) and the LOADed sandwiches. Great deals, fresh food. I’m not Polish, but I can appreciate great food and good value. Thank you Celina’s for your terrific tasting food :). Plus the staff is really nice. I Love Celina’s Deli!!!

They opened a store on McCarthy in Lemont so now there are two. Good prices and selection of deli meals and products. When we dont have a dinner ready I can always go there and get two meals that feeds our family of four. A real nice selection of smoked sausages. I like this place a lot.

Every year for Easter I go on an endless search for good Polish food. This year I found this deli, and I think my search is over. For selection and quality you cannot beat this place in the suburbs(some of the best Polish food is still found in the old neighborhoods of Chicago). The pierogi was fresh and amazing. This is the first time the cheese pierogi wasn’t too sweet for my taste. Amazing deli plus great desserts and fresh produce. I’ll be headed here more than just once a year for certain!

My dad and I used to drive into the«old neighborhood» when I was young — that is, we’d head to the south side polish digs to get sausage, pierogi and soup. When Grandma was in town, we’d even get some duck’s blood for her famous soup(I was too young to be grossed out then…). Well, years ago — the polish neighborhood pretty much moved to Florida to retire on the beach and there were no more trips to the magic bakeries where everyone spoke a strange language I couldn’t understand… UNTILTODAY. Holy mother. We heard that this place opened up and they’d have some of the traditional ingredients that we have such a hard time finding for some of grandma’s old recipes. Farmer’s cheese to be specific. Hallelujah! We hit the jack pot. Tomorrow, we’re making grandma’s pierogis… God rest her soul… When we went in, they asked what we wanted… in Polish. I’m telling you, it doesn’t get better than this. We got all the good stuff. I stuffed my face with dried polish sausage on the way home… We’re having polish sausages for lunch tomorrow. Who would come here for sandwiches??? Branch out people! Dziekuje!

This is a little polish deli and convenience store right near where I work. Their made to order sandwiches aren’t amazing, the bread they use could be improved in terms of selection and quality, but they aren’t bad and you can’t beat the price, around $ 5 for a sandwich, soup, and a bottle of water. Great for those days when you forget to pack a lunch and you don’t feel like spending $ 7 — $ 10 at subway. They also will make up a box of authentic polish food for take out. For a few bucks more, you can get dumplings, cabbage, pork and other varieties of traditional polish food. If sweets are your thing, they have a wide assortment of bakery goods. They also have tons of candy from Poland and some better known European chocolates as well such as Kinder. Bottom-line: If gourmet sandwiches are your thing stick to the dumplings, cabbage, pork and bakegoods/chocolates selection.
