I visited this joint many times over the last couple years and I’m finally getting around to write a note.
There is nothing pretentious about Big Mikes. Only great bbq. Not the prettiest building, but who cares.
If you would place this restaurant in Pittsburgh it would go gangbusters.
Pulled pork, chicken, chicken wings, shoestring fries, slaw.
So today I pull in to grab lunch for a couple people and the lights are off.
On the sign they wrote «In Memory Of Big Mike»
This is truly a sad day, for this is the only BBQ restaurant within an hour drive of Pittsburgh that is worthy to be called BBQ.
Big Mike. Thank you for the BBQ.
I hope someone picks the torch up and will carry on the tradition.

Great BBQ I had the ribs the first time we went there they were fantastic! Had pig wings the next time wow as good as Bach home in Texas.
