Came here for a wig fitting today. Talked with Sydel– she is fantastic! She really knows what she’s talking about, and she explains everything you need to know to make an informed decision. There were so many different choices, and she was very patient.
I didn’t really like the parking situation, I had to park down and across the street, but the customer service pretty much canceled that complaint out. I can deal with walking some :)

My dad suffered from a stroke about 6 months ago and has a had time regaining strength in his legs. He was referred to this business because he had that they were the best with compression socks.
My father and I were not disappointed at all. It was very easy to schedule a compression sock consult meeting/​fitting. Even though products may be pricey, the knowledge of the staff and quality of products are great!
Thank you to the girl who helped us with his fitting for teaching us how to fit and overall be helpful with all his questions. I forgot her name, but my dad couldn’t stop raving about this place since he got his new socks!

I have severe varicose veins. Compression socks bought at the drugstore were not doing the job, so my insurer (Tricare) authorized 5 pairs of special medical compression socks at San Diego Homecare Supplies in Lemon Grove. A store employee took measurements for the best fit, showed me the various types for regular wear and athletic use, and demonstrated the proper way to put on the socks for maximum compression benefit. The store employee even observed me putting on different pairs of the socks to make sure I had the hang of it. They even threw in a special pair of gloves designed to assist in properly putting on the socks. The store employee also explained in detail the proper laundering techniques for care of the socks. The store was out of a particular color, but promised to order it and mail it to me. I received it by mail a week later.

I sent my hubby there to order the sleeves insurance had issued and he did what I asked and came back with 3 sleeves. the sleeves were a little different than I expected. I have to admit that the company tried to make things right. I really appreciate the fact that they have been in touch with me trying to work out a solution to the problem. In today’s world when things go wrong too many people are willing to point the finger and this company did not. They have attempted to make it right and that is refreshing.
I have lymphedema and it’s hard enough for me to accept that let alone go and get supplies to take care of the problem. I had a wonderful physical therapist that just retired and so now I am left alone to battle this on my own. My sweet husband tries to help and get the necessary things that I need so when insurance gave me the name of this company and told me I could have three sleeves he went to get them. Problem is when he called they were not very receptive to helping him until he told them he would go some place else. Then they allowed him to go there and order them. HOW NICE!
Okay so I have had this problem for over 14 years so I have seen it all. However, I have never been given boxes that read 30 – 40, when I ordered 20 – 30, and have all the sleeves be just a little different. The one I have on now is snagging and looking old after only three washes. I really don’t care enough to go and return them because I am not much for a hassel about my medical condition however, just want to let you know that when you shop there make sure you know what you are getting and that they give it to you.
I know you can say that hubby didn’t know but he had the number of the sleeves because I have to order more online myself since I am pretty active.

Needed to find a Full Arm Waterproof Cast Protector for my teenager and they had them in stock — all sizes and cast types. This item saved our summer and allowed my daughter to swim with her cast on. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. This item is easy to find online and the price is the same but you don’t have to wait a week or two to get it. Buying it locally also saved me over $ 18 in 2 day shipping costs. If you have a child in a cast this is a must have item especially for the summer! Would highly recommend this store to anyone.

When I was preparing for my trip to Maine this past June, many people encouraged me to wear support hose on the flight. I had purchased a pair in the past from another company and found them extremely uncomfortable. I brought that pair to this store and found out they were the wrong size! The sales person carefully measured me for the right size and showed me how to roll the hose on. She encouraged me to wear them on the flight, which I did. And, they were much more comfortable! When I need other homecare supplies, I will return to SDHS. The staff are considerate and helpful, willing to answer all my questions. It looks like they offer many options to any future needs I might have.

Sara spent an hour making sure I received a perfect fit. She has exceptional expertise and experience. EVERYONE there is courteous and highly professional. I had previously been fit by a competitor, spent much more, and the item was far too small and could not be returned. From now on, I’m going to San Diego Homecare for everything I need for my disabilities.
