Nice, charming folks and absolutely wonderful wine. Well worth a drive to see.

Sit outside and share a bottle of the Smokehouse red, it’s the cheapest and easiest 2 hour vacation you can find in the area, and totally worth trip to Leicester!

Very cool and well crafted tasting room. Only recommendation would be to offer a cheese plate for purchase. Highly recommended.

Our firm hosted a 30th anniversary client appreciation celebration with wine tasting at Addison Farms and were incredibly pleased! Our clients raved about the beauty of the vineyard and how pleasant and welcoming the Vineyard owners were. Jeff was amazingly accommodating to our group both during the planning process as well as during the event. Highly recommend this venue for a wedding, party, or corporate event.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. Jeff(the owner) showed us around the vineyard because we wanted to choose it as a potential venue for our wedding. Unfortunately, it was a bit too far for us since we are planning the wedding from Colorado and our family lives in Raleigh. The vineyard is a break taking site and if we could’ve we would’ve definitely chosen it for our venue. You can tell that they are really easy to work with. Also, Jeff let us sample the wine and it is tasted awesome! The port is by far the best port I’ve ever tasted. I think most ports are way to sweet, but his is just the right sweetness. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to see a beautiful vineyard, try some good wine or look for a place to get married.

A must-see place I venture out to every time I’m in the Asheville area. It’s very family owned. There are only family members employed here and both times I went, the owner was in the winery. You can sample a bunch of wines for $ 7. It’s well worth it. I got a decent buzz though, so if you’re a lightweight like me, bring a dd. I have purchased almost all the wines here and they all have really great flavor. My favorite is Coming Home 2011. The dessert wine is awesome and the Smokehouse Red has notes of smoke which is unique and pulled off very well. Leicester is about a 25 minute drive from Ashevillem but it’s scenic and goes by quickly. It’s a beautiful drive and I can imagine it looks the best in the fall. Check this place out, but remember… it’s only open on weekends.

Very scenic, and Jeff(the owner) works hard to make vistors feel welcome. They are in their infancy, but you can see the start of something nice, way out of town. I was impressed by the tasing room(and its views). The wine they had was sourced from grapes coming from other vineyards, but the taste was good, and the process appeared to be well done.

I LOVE this place and I cannot recommend it enough. We decided to check it out after reading about it on another website and I’m SO happy we did. We were greeted by Sam, the happiest little dog I’ve ever seen. And it just got better from there. We did the wine tasting and walked around the vineyard. The grounds are gorgeous and Jeff and his wife were awesome. We grabbed a glass of wine and they chatted with us for awhile. Super nice people and the wine is great. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

This place was AWESOME. Jeff was a fabulous tour guide and host, and just a genuinely nice guy. I wished he and his wife(designer of the wine labels, by the way) had joined us for dinner afterwards. The brief tour and tasting was very inexpensive and came with a free(and nice) wine glass. The tasting room was beautifully finished, with great views of the surrounding mountains. We loved learning the history of the winery. I wish that everything billed as a family business was run like this: you could feel their connection to the land. The drive to the winery from Asheville was stunning as well. Oh yea, the wine was incredible.

In Asheville for New Year’s Eve, my girlfriend and I decided to check out nearby Addison Farms Vineyard. I call up to confirm directions and get the hours, and, being that it was a Monday, find out that their tasting room is typically open on the weekends only. «Well, maybe next time we’re in town.» I said. «Oh, you’re leaving town soon, well come on out for a visit today then!» was the cheerful reply. «Wow, okay!» So after a short scenic drive through the hills we arrive at this small family-owned vineyard, greeted by Jeff, the owner, standing on the wrap-around deck of his beautifully constructed new tasting room and event hall overlooking the rolling NC mountains. After a short tour of the bright, spacious main-event room, we mosey on over to the bar to get down to business — wine. Jeff knows his stuff, and has the goods to prove it. With generous pours, and detailed descriptions of the entire production process, from planting to harvesting to mixing varieties to aging to bottling(btw, awesome labels Dianne!), we learned about what it takes to make good wine, all the while thoroughly enjoying the four tasting options. Needless to say we walked out with a fine(and sizable) selection of wines, of which we continue to enjoy(though it’s disappearing fast)! The sun was setting by the time we were getting ready to leave, so we opted out of the tour of the vineyard itself, though we will most certainly be back to walk the lands and discover what new wines Jeff has crafted. Jeff is a gracious and generous host, and made our afternoon! If you’re in the area make sure to visit for a tasting. And if you’re looking for a beautiful, serene space for a special occasion, you’ll want to see the views this event room has to offer.
