My mom loves this place for its old time feel and great prices. You can tell the regulars hang out and are practically family with the staff. Sometimes I actually feel like we are intruding in a way going in to order, but we’ve never had any issues. I usually get their salad, and it’s pretty large and fills me up. Was surprised to see chopped pickles IN the salad, but it strangely works. Pretty big menu as well. Overall, pleased for the experience.

Food is decent, prices are very cheap. My major issue is if you aren’t a local regular you can forget about service. Try getting more coffee or a soda refill or even your check when the waitresses friends are in. Gave up on this place only go when the parking lot is empty

Service was nice, but the food was like something that came out of a can. We tried the soup, but it wasn’t good. The hamburger were so tiny. The bun was just as tiny. The rhubarb pie wasn’t any better.

Breakfast was so good! Had the SOS And scrapple. Coffee was great. I’d return for just the coffee! Service was great also.

«Cute little place.» My wife Nikijha says. Good pie and as inexpensive as you’d hope from a diner in the mountains.

Unlike the other review, my experience at this Diner was a disappointment. I dropped in at around 4pm and was promptly seated. I was tempted to go with a breakfast item but was put off by the additional $ 1 charge because it was past 11am(WTF?) So, I ordered the turkey dinner platter with mashed potatoes and gravy along with a shredded lettuce salad with hot bacon dressing as my side. There’s not much you can do to a turkey dinner with the exception of dry turkey perhaps, but this had to be the BLANDEST meal I had ever had in my life. The turkey was real(not deli meat) but sliced on a deli slicer and covered with a blah gravy. No hint of sage or thyme that is usually used to season a turkey, Seriously, salt and pepper couldn’t give this any life. The turkey tasted boiled and the mashed potatoes were, unfortunately, fake. As far as the salad, the hot bacon dressing sounded like it would be fabulous, but it was a white glob mess sitting on top of shredded lettuce. I wasn’t prepared that the dressing itself was sweet, yuck. The waitress saw that I didn’t touch it and was kind enough to switch it out for the pickled cabbage which was tasty. As far as prices, I wasn’t impressed. My dinner was $ 8.95 and considering that it was lousy, it was money wasted.

Surprisingly good place for a super-cheap meal with excellent service. We were visiting a relative who lives nearby, and she recommended this place for lunch. The food was solid, and we had a wonderful waitress. The burgers were good and only about $ 2, the fried chicken was delicious, the fries were fresh and satisfying, the coffee was decent. If you order breakfast after a certain time, they charge an extra dollar. Odd, but at these prices who cares? The total for the 3 of us was under $ 20. Bonus — clean restrooms!
