Seated at a dirty table, yet the waitress insisted it was clean. I guess pieces of food left on the table from the previous guests means, «clean». I gave the waitress the stink eye, and she begrudgingly cleaned it. It was about 10 minutes before we were able to order. It wasn’t that busy either. I wanted ropa vieja, but it was stricken from the menu. Dammit! I settled for vaca frita — pan fried shredded beef — with fried yuca. The entrees took longer than expected. They were ok, but looked rather plain and unceremonious. Other entrees looked pretty good. Mine was dry and quite salty, but if it weren’t, there would have been little to no taste. The yuca frita was good. What was really good was when I put some mojo sauce on the leftovers and reheated them. That really improved things. I would probably give Azucar another chance. I’d love to try the ropa vieja at some point.

We were looking for a spanish restaurant around the area, this came up and seeing what other customers have said we decided to try it. The food ISAMAZING!!! And the girls(waitresses) sooooo friendly. Place is very clean. Overall if you happened to be in the area DONOT leave without stopping here… you will leave very happy. Highly recommended.

After reading the reviews my husband and I decided to try it. Some review I read said it was«in a seedy, little strip mall». While that may be true, the staff was very kind and informative(having never eaten Cuban food). I had a sandwich that had ham, pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mayo and mustard and on warm Cuban bread. It was incredible! My husband had black beans, pork and saffron rice. He loved every bite! I am a new lover of Tres Leche, and after finding it was homemade, ordered it to go. Another good decision on my part today! Look past the book cover, you will be glad you did.

We were looking for an authentic place to eat and happened upon this little spot. Good food. I had tacos and my wife the chicken tostado. small portions but you can’t beat the price and service.

Really good Spanish food. The rice is fluffy and the ropa vieja(shredded beef) is savory! It’s a nice little restaurant that’s privately owned and the prices are reasonable. The only downside was that our order didn’t come out all at once. The ladies were great though and kept us up to date on our order. Great food!

Great authentic Cuban Food. Great atmosphere. Would recommend to friends and family! My husband had the steak sandwich and it was huge. I had beef stew with congri and yuca frita and the beef was well cooked and the rice was amazing!

Food was delicious! Cuban sandwich… lechon asada and mamey shake. Not one complaint with the food. The place seemed clean as well. The waitress Helen was extremely friendly. We will definitely go back!

AMAZINGCUBAN food butttttt the only thing I dont like is that its so hard to get someone on the phone. They have 2 numbers so you have to play a guessing game & see what number they pick up, if they even do. Besides that, very great food & they deliver till 7:30 pm. They close really early too, which is surprising.

Went to this restaurant on a recommendation of the hotel I was staying and all I have to say is that they need to STOP recommending people go here. The place was in a seedy shopping center with tons of homeless people. With that being said… I got the Churassco with chimi churri sauce … YUCK. I ordered it medium and it was raw in the middle and a cheap skirt steak that was tough. The food was bland and not at all worth the money . I will never go here again it was a HUGE disappointment.

Sweet little Cuban stop in the center of Lehigh. Don’t go for the atmosphere — go for the friendly service and good food. It was a very nice experience.

Talk about a hidden gem. This unassuming store front gets lost in the sea of other strip mall galley ways, but it is definitely diamond in the rough. We got the classic Cuban, and order of maduras(sweet plantain), which were nice and carmalized, and one each of the chicken and cheese, and beef empanadas. The Cuban was delish, and they’re flat bread pressed is great. The chicken and cheese empanadas were seasoned perfectly. Nothing fake or processed. The dough was flakey and had a nice chew, and the Mango sauce was to die for. Smokey and slightly sweet, and like nothing I have had any where else! I also greatly appreciate the whole olives in my beef empanada. Even the rice was spiced to perfection. The only thing I really could do without was the very fake shoestring potato crisps that came as the side for the sandwich. How about some seasoned papas fritas?! But thank you for the great lunch! We’ll be seeing you again!

The first time I ate here the food was really good(take out) but when I excitedly brought it home the second time… the Chirrosco. Was inedible. The steak was paper thin and cooked till it was like raw hide. Ruined this restaurant For me. Awful to let something like that leave the kitchen

This is as good as you’ll find in Lehigh Acres. So far, it’s be the best Cuban I’ve found in SW Florida. Great Roast Pork in Mojo, Ropa Vieja, Cuban Sandwich and Fried Beef. Like all good Cuban food — looks fairly bland on the plate but chocked full of flavor in your mouth. I only wish this place stayed open later so we could eat here more.

So delicious… today I ate my «cheat meal»(in training for my bodybuilding competition) from Azucar and I ordered white rice/black beans/steak with onions — they delivered it to the gym I work at… it was alot of food… I share it with my co worker because it was too much for me… it was delicious :)

I was excited to see that this place delivers, the restaurant is only five minutes from the house and I’ve never had Cuban delivery before. The restaurant is very clean and the décor is simple with framed pictures of Cuba and famous Cuban people. There were only two other patrons here but it’s a weekday and we ate around four in the afternoon. The waitress was quick to attend to us and was sweet. We ordered ropa vieja with congri and maduros. The food came out quickly and was steaming hot. I am not exaggerating when I say it tasted like my family’s cooking(Cuban fam) and I was more than satisfied. We both ate everything and I had some espresso after my meal. Definitely eating here again and ordering delivery!

4 ½ STARS Great authentic Cuban restaurant. Not only is the food excellent but the interior is well done and CLEAN. We stopped in for dinner and started with Camarones empanizados en coco — beautiful big shrimp that tasted fresh with a coconut crust. For dinner we had a Classic Cuban Sandwich and the Churradco with chimichury sauce with yucca and black beans as the sides. Everything was delicious. For example, even the yucca which can be dry and stringy sometimes was moist and in a nice garlic sauce. Really enjoyed this place. I believe it has only been open for a short time and I certainly hope they are successful.
