Zaxby’s

I enjoy the chicken finger plate. It’s always what I order. The Zax sauce isn’t bad but I prefer the «Nuclear» hot sauce and use it for my chicken and fries. Good stuff!

This was our first time at Zaxby’s and we loved it! The chicken was tender, delicious and the portions were pretty good.

The food was okay. Chicken was a bit soggy, I expect chicken fingers to have some crunch to them, not be wrapped in a soggy batter. I will continue to go to Popeyes when I have a chicken craving. Nice crispy and spicy chicken, better food, and more for your buck.

They forgot my ranch sauce and gave me zaxby’s sauce instead. How am I suppose to eat Wings without RANCH!!!

I wasn’t overly impressed, but I wasn’t disappointed. I wasn’t the biggest fan of there special sauce. Food was out to us in a timely manner. Staff was friendly. If I were looking for a fast food chicken place I think I would still stick wth chick-​fil-​a. I would give it another chance.

If you want chicken wings and/​or fingers then you should come here. If you want a Birthday Cake Milkshake then you should come here.
If you’re looking for Louisiana-​style chicken then go to Popeye’s. If you want chicken from Chick-​Fil-​A then go to Chick-​Fil-​A.
If you want professional employees in an actual sit-​down type restaurant (where you order from a menu at your table) then I suggest you go elsewhere. If you want an in-​between sit-​down and fast food type place that has pretty good food at in-​between prices then this might be the place for you.
If you’re offended by employees asking if you’re dining in (knowing that this place has a drive-​thru) then this may not be the place for you.
I like the food and have had no problems with the service.

I came here out of convenience. I’m not a huge fan of this location. Ever since I was told that you can substitute fries with onion rings for free, I have been doing it. I do it all the time at the Midvale location every time without issue.
I go to the Lehi location and ordered the same thing, onion rings instead of fries. The cashier rings me up and it comes out to be a couple of bucks more. I asked her «did you substitute my fries with onion rings?». She assured me that she did and that they recently raised the prices on the substitution.
«Whatever.» I thought. I’ll pay the difference and eat the cost (pun intended).
I’m here at the Midvale location and asked them if they raised the prices on the onion rings for the fries. They said that it’s completely free to substitute fries with onion rings for the plate and that there hadn’t been a price change.
Lehi’s location continues to disappoint, even the few times I reluctantly go there.

Mediocre. And way expensive compared to Chik Fil A. I’d eat at any of the other places nearby before spending $ 8 on a chicken sandwich combo here.

To be completely honest I was expecting this place to be meh. I have heard mixed reviews but I thought I should try it out for myself. When I got my food and I was surprised with how good it is. I ordered the boneless wings and things plate with sweet and spicy sauce. I likes their seasoning on the fries and their sweet and spicy sauce is the bomb. I could definitely see myself coming back here again.

Food is delicious. Building is clean. Service is good. I ordered the five boneless chicken wing plate and the wings were tiny– not worth five dollars. Then we talked to the employee at the counter and she apologized and brought me five more wings. Very nice about the whole thing.
The chicken and onion rings are SO GOOD. Get hit honey mustard on your chicken.

I got a zalad and fried mushrooms. I ordered fried chicken on my salad, but they gave me grilled. And the fried mushrooms were only good hot. The salad was good, and so was the chicken even though it was the wrong kind.

Took my nieces there on a lunch date & we are absolutely in love! Best chicken around as far as a «fast food» type place. Very clean & nice inside. Felt cozy & staff was very friendly & helpful. I’ve gotten take out twice since in the same week. My daughter & I can’t get enough. We want to try everything eventually. Great coleslaw also! m
MAKES KFC look like generic.

Spent some time in Louisiana, and I like to think I know fried chicken well enough to spot some good stuff when I taste it.
I was really hoping for something that would take me back South, but unfortunately Zaxby’s isn’t the place.
The chicken strips were bland (and slightly overcooked), and their 80 billion sauces even confuse their employees. I asked for 3 or 4 of their most popular sauces and received a blank stare, and «well, what kind of sauces to you usually like». Nope. Not a good experience.
Go somewhere else if you want great fried chicken. Go here if you like those fancy coke machines and a decent ambiance.

Not too impressed. The cashiers ask every customer if they are dining there. Umm, yes. That’s why people go to a restaurant.
There was no description of items or sauces.
It took several minutes to get my order.
Food was nothing special.

This place is cheap and delicious.
It’s like a clean, improved Popeye’s but tastier.

Meh, reminds me of every other fast food place I’ve been too. Drive thru was slow, and they forgot some of my food. Kids meal on the other hand had more food than you usually see in a kids meal but the chicken on my salad was boiled, and not grilled like advertised. They had crinkle fries which was impressive and I can’t remember if they offered me ketchup or not, but it didn’t come with any. As for the boneless wings with insane sauce? Well I may never know because I paid for them and never got them. Oh well

It confuses me why someone would give a bad review because they didn’t know what to order. How hard is it to read a menu, or perhaps take the piece of paper that Zaxbys gave at the front door AND counter, showing the menu.
This is fast food. It isn’t meant to be compared to Chick Fil A (they do sandwiches, Zaxbys does fingers and wings). Also, it is not meant to be compared to Popeyes. Popeyes is Louisana style, Zaxbys is just general southern style. There is a big difference.
I personally love Zaxbys. Be sure to try the Zaxs sauce cause it is meant to enhance the flavor of the chicken. I have never gotten cold food from Zaxbys, the Lehi location is much better than West Valley. Give it a shot, and stop comparing it to other food. It isn’t meant to be compared, it’s meant to be enjoyed!
I recommend the Chicken Fingers plate, no slaw, extra fries (this won’t cost extra!). It’s the number one favorite!

Good food. Good service.
We were staying a cross the street at the Marriott and we ordered a large order of wings and chicken fingers. Like catering big. They had it ready for us in about ½ hr and it was fantastic tasting. I’m a Zaxby’s fan for sure now.

For all the hype, this place fell short. It’s okay chicken, about at the level of Popeyes. I had the 3 piece chicken tenders. Their Zaxby’s sauce was good and the atomic sauce was good, although not as spicy as I was expecting something named «atomic» to be.
I’ll be back, but that’s more due to the lack of interest I have in the other chains around here.

I didn’t have the same experience as the other people who rated Zaxby’s badly. Honestly, getting good and affordable food close to work is a bit of an experience. At most restaurants around here a meal is about $ 10 and it’s good.
I tried Zaxby’s today because I didn’t have much time and they’re closest to where I work. I am very happy that I went. I got the Zaxby Club with onion rings and a pickle, and it all cost about $ 6. It was really really tasty too, the chicken was tender and moist, and the sauce was delicious.
I am a fan now, and I’d recommend at least trying that sandwich to anyone going there for the first time.
