Bank of American Fork

I love this bank. It’s well run (albeit conservative), it’s safe (cause it’s conservative), the employees are always friendly and go out of their way to be helpful, and it has a small-​town feel with big-​bank sophistication and services.
Hopefully I don’t get anyone into trouble by relaying this story, but years ago when I was purchasing my first home I cut a large check to the builder to secure my lot. I told the builder to hold off on cashing the check until the end of the week, as it was going to take me that long to get the necessary funds into my account. Well, the builder went ahead and cashed my check immediately. The bank called me, inquiring about the check. They said it «wasn’t like» me (I assume based on my account history) to cut a large check and not have the funds available. I explained the situation and they assured me they’d cover the check until my funds came in, which is exactly what they did.
Although I opened my first account at this bank when I was about 8 years old, I have been with larger, national banks when living out of state. You simply can’t tell me that this would have happened at one of the national banks, or any other bank for that matter. Unless I leave the state again, I doubt I’ll ever bank anyplace else. I’ve grown to trust them and appreciate their service, both on a personal level and community level. I simply don’t think you can go wrong with these guys.

I have been pretty happy with this bank, but I don’t love it.
I like their mobile services, and they are pretty friendly.
Every now and then they will nickel and dime you on little things.
