I had several meals at this place. The souvlaki is very good and the pasticio is excellent and well-seasoned. My concern is that they SKIMP on the pizza toppings. I experienced this twice. The first time I thought it was a mistake but by the second time, it became a pattern. I ordered a large pizza with green peppers, onions, mushrooms and DOUBLE salami, DOUBLE… did I get double? Oh no! I got chopped up bits of salami sprinkled over the pizza like bacon bits(see photos). I was shocked! There was no other meat underneath the top layer, the salami bits was it! WOW and they had the nerve to charge full price and extra for the«double». What a big fat greek rip-off!

Pretty bad experience mid day for mediocre food. But place is ok and don’t let my review deter you. I stopped for a Greek salad and a Greek appetizer. How hard is that? But server messed up my entire order. It was ok as I wasn’t in a rush, but please. Salad and appetizer was a very simple request. Then the food finally arrived and was completely mediocre. Greek salad was merely strands of iceberg lettuce, feta cheese and a couple tomatoes. Not anything like the delectable Greek salads I’ve had in the past. Spanakopita I didn’t order was a greasy slab of patty simply heated up. No fluffy layers of delectable filo pastry. Tyropita, cheese pie, which I did order and came later because server didn’t hear me, was fluffier and more tasty. Still greasy but better. I stop at places mid day to eat, relax and regroup work on my plate. The server kept pestering and bothering me and messing things up. I wasn’t allowed to relax, to be and simply chill out despite an empty restaurant. Not an enjoyable experience. In fact, my afternoon was kinda ruined. I have a stomach ache from the grease. With all the awesome food choices out there, it’s such a disappointment to waste a meal. They do have lots of Italian dishes on the menu but I’ve never been a fan of Greek Italian places so I can’t guide anyone on that front.

Food was pretty good, portions were large and service was friendly. Menu items were not all as expected. Gyro was really different. Cheese pie not what we were use to. Probably wouldn’t order either again. Children loved the fettuccine. Veggie calzone was good lots of fresh cut veggies inside — the small was even huge! Baked ziti and chicken park were both very good. All and all a good experience — but more Italian than Greek.

12.23.2015 My mother and I stopped in for a late lunch. She ordered a small Genoa Salami Pizza, and requested that it be thin crust and extra crispy. I ordered the Pastichio and opted to skip the Salad. Flavor wise, each were rather good in their own right. However her Pizza was not thin crust nor was it extra crispy, it was also barely even warm. My Pastichio, as well was barely even warm. Service was great, the young lady even offered to throw in a piece of Baklava for free(which I turned down) to make up for the cold food. Hoping that they were just having an off day?!

Called in my lunch order for a gyro and fries this last Friday. The bag was hot and ready when I arrived with catsup already in the bag. I asked for more catsup and the server obliged. The gyro was tasty and without onions as I order and sauced pretty well. It was hot and wrapped in foil. The fries in an unventilated foam container were still warm and not too soggy. The takeout was just over eight bucks which seemed pretty high for a Leesburg lunch when there are literally twenty more lunch spots within two minutes walk from their door. So average is how I rate it for the price.

We were on vacation in Florida and traveling up to Gainesville when we noticed Takis in Leesburg. We stopped for lunch and were so glad we did. We ordered the Combo Plate # 2 and a Gyro Sandwich. The food was some of the best Greek Food we have had in a long time. Excellent flavor and fresh. Service was also excellent. Wish we had a Greek Restaurant like that in Tucson, AZ! My wife and brother in law were born in Greece so they know great Greek Food. Will surely go back there next time we are in Florida.

Very slow service. Subpar food. In comparison to other restaurants in the area the food is ok.

Greek salad is fantastic. The Gyros sandwich seemed a little skimpy. I guess you need to order extra meat.

Only one experience but it was not that good. My wife and I waited almost ten minutes to be greeted when we walked through the door. I thought that was a little long considering the place was almost empty and there were plenty of staff around. The food took a while to arrive and, when it did, it wasn’t that good. The marinara sauce was bland, the gyro was very salty, and the pasta was overcooked. The price was not bad though. Two appetizers, three entrees, drinks(non-alcoholic), and one dessert for under $ 50. I have heard a lot of great things about this restaurant so maybe they just had an off night. I don’t think I will return to find out though.

Food worth a higher rating but I mistakingly called the other Takis for a reservation and they wouldn’t take that into consideration made us wait more than half hour even after verifying my reservation then gave us an attitude about our service dog almost to a point of being illegal until I threatened to inform ADA government on his violation. He said his customers complain and i asked if he was familiar with the law he is supposed to know as a restaurant owner manager. Not pleasant to deal with but was acceptable Italian for the area.

The original Takis was located a few blocks down the road in a strip mall. This was my first visit since they moved into their current location and I’m pleased to say that their food is still great! The restaurant has a standard Greek-Italian blended menu. The atmosphere is clean and contemporary. They were very busy the night we were there, but seating and service was still quick. If I could change anything, I would recommend that they work toward less pre-made or frozen food components. I had the Chicken Picatta, and the chicken breast seemed to have just been unwrapped and broiled.(Gordon Ramsay would have a conniption!) A little more TLC would take this from great-tasting mediocre-quality food to great-tasting marvelous cuisine! Keep moving forward Takis!

This is the first time we’ve had Takis since they moved to the new location. They’ve been open for a few months, so «newness» is no excuse. The table was dirty, one of our straw wrappers looked moldy or dirty, and the silverware had dried cheese stuck to it. The service left a lot to be desired. When they brought our medium salad, they didn’t bring the tongs, so we had to track someone down. The salad wasn’t chopped very well and had huge pieces in it. We also had a pizza and a combo sandwich. The pizza was falling apart and the sandwich just wasn’t as good as it was at the old location. The atmosphere isn’t the same either. The bright florescent lights are very irritating and the walls are plain beige. I always liked the paintings on the walls at the old location and the one in the villages. The old location was really nice. It was dark and had an authentic Greek feel. This one feels like you are eating at a cheap restaurant. We might get takeout on occasion, but we won’t be back to eat in.
