Ramshackle Cafe

We had dinner here between Christmas and New Year’s, and it was quite busy. We were a party of 7 and they were able to accommodate us without too much of a wait. This is a very casual restaurant that looks like a lot of locals go to, which we liked.
We ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared them for our meal. Their menu has standard fare as well as a number of food items not normally seen on menus in a place this casual. We ordered wings — 2 flavors one of which was the honey BBQ — very good. The BBQ sauce had a delicious sweet smoked flavor. Other apps we ordered were buffalo shrimp, fried pickles, basket of fries, onion rings, fried mushrooms, nuclear shrimp (VERY spicy), fried broccoli & cheese bites. Some were VERY good, others were so-​so or a little less than. The shrimp and wings were delicious. The onion rings were not so yummy. The fried mushrooms were delicious, the fries were so-​so, however the fries with melted cheese and bacon over them were really good. If we go there again, I’m ordering those instead of regular fries. And I’ll order the honey BBQ wings again too — loved those.

Good people and good food„ dont go to often but have Always been happy with the service and atmosphere

Place was conveniently in front of the Best Western Plus and had a cool exterior. Sat at the bar and ordered a beer and it seems to attract a very diverse crowd, and by diverse I mean a homeless-​looking (can’t confirm) guy who smelled like 3-​day old socks after working in the coal mines. Ordered cheese fries which were your standard fries with cheese from a can but average service. Interior was uniquely designed at that would be the highlight of the place. Inexpensive if you’re in the area and standard bar food selection.

Great food! Great service! My husband and I ordered burgers. I ordered chili cheese burger and he ordered the house burger. It came with fries, which were thin and nice.
Their specialty is grilled wings, which looked very good too.

Food is good. Great wings, and I dont say that often. Baked potato was old ‘n cold.
(Like me).
No butter for potato, only «whipped spread». Bartender got a 5 percent tip. Maybe if she would spend as much time attending to her Customer as she did her phone, tip would be better. ;(

Stopped by here because we stay best western next by it. It was good. Just like Dave n buster. Price is ok. 30 bucks for two people.

Appears to be a local favorite by how packed this place gets. Don’t be deceived, it only looks packed because it’s a small place. Food is just decent and it is true they serve large portions but who cares if it is nothing special. I don’t know about you but eating out has to be more than just large portions. The biggest issue I have with this place is the service… IT IS BAD!!! Our waitress did not care about anything and spent her shift talking to other wait staff. She took our order and gave us our check and that was all our interaction with her. I don’t ask for much when it comes to being served food, I respect wait staff and know they have it rough sometimes but it is a job and it is what some have chosen to do, so do it well. I will eventually give this place another try and hope for the best.

First time at Ramshackle. Fish tacos, ribs and onions rings. Yummy! We will go back! Our waitress was great!

Great service and great food.
We stopped by this hole in the wall restaurant not expecting much and was blown away. Good atmosphere, good diverse menu, good food and good proportions. We had tried the fried mac n cheese bites for the first time and they were great! We ordered shrimp, chili burger, and a few sandwiches and everything was good!

Been driving pass this place for years taken girls to camp. The serves was quick & staff friendly. The was good too. If I was you I would give them a try

Ramshackle is old we sat outside by traffic. The place packed. We set down tell the waitress to clean off top of table because it’s sticky. She tells us that just the way tops of tables are. They from the 1970’s and that’s it. We order from paper newspaper menu and wait for foods as a million Harley Davidson and huge trucks drive right in front of us. Finally food comes big amazing looking hamburgers and fries. I sit them on top of my paper menu because tops of table from 70’s sticky and wow they taste great. Big Angus burger and I love ever bit as the fumes of traffic pass me by. As we get ready to leave the paper menu rips because it sat on top of sticky old table from the seventy. We walk through old small packed hamburger joint and think I would come back yes. Because although I expected a 4 legged bug to pop out at any time. The burger yes was great.

My coworker has been here before and said it was a good place to eat, so we came here for lunch today. It is an interesting place for sure. There are old license plates hanging on the walls and the whole place is made to look run down, I guess to adhere to the theme of this place being ramshackled.
The menu was pretty simple American food. I got a reuben which was really good. The fries were frozen and kind of greasy, but the sandwich was great. We also had some fried mac and cheese for an appetizer. I wasn’t too impressed with it. It was Kraft mac and cheese, so It wasn’t homemade, and it didn’t have much taste. We got seven little triangles for $ 7, so it was a little pricey too.
All of the servers were nice and the place was packed as hell. I would probably go back. I would get something besides the fries as a side, but the reuben was really good.

Had the Steak Chimi platter! It was new on the menu! It was awesome! I couldn’t eat it all at once! The chili was a little spicy for me. Nice place :)
