I was really excited to try the place since I heard good reviews about it. I took my mom in to add some color since she started to get some gray hairs. When he was finished there was still a spot of gray hair which I asked if he could fix. He went on about how it was normal and that no one would notice. He said he could fix it but she would have to go home and blow-​dry because he closed in an hour. When she sat down, he looked at it again and started to state how she was fine and no one would notice (again). I felt like he didn’t want to take the time to help her so we just left. This was for my mom’s birthday so I felt very upset about how the job wasn’t done right. I would not recommend this place.

I moved from Maryland to Virginia and I was looking for a good stylist. After a lot of research I found Michael at Lux in Leesburg. Michael does a great job with cut and color! I would highly recommend him. The saloon is conveniently located in Leesburg and the prices are reasonable.

I went to another salon and now my hair looks normal again. I was telling the stylist at the new salon what happened at Lux and he told me he’s recently done someones hair who also went to Lux and had the same issue I had. He even knew the Lux stylists’ name who ruined my hair because the person whose hair he recently fixed was talking about the same guy! To funny!

I have been going to Michael for 10+ years. He is absolutely the best if you want a layered hair style. His layers are so smooth, nothing choppy or chunky. I occasionally do highlights and he always blends them really nicely so that no one would know it wasn’t my natural color. My husband and son also see Michael and really love the massage from Lan :)

Well, after reading the reviews for this place on Unilocal I was excited to go. However, I received very poor service. I can understand there was a language barrier yet I still feel discontent.
I asked for a hair cut and bangs, with no shampoo to cut down on the cost. When it was done, it was still the flat fee with the shampoo bundled into the price… the shampoo I never asked for. My bangs were lopsided to a slant when I requested for straight across, so I had to fix that myself at home. My hair was cut straight across in one swoop for my back and now it sits funny.
I know others have had good service here and I was looking forward to receiving said service, but I feel like I’ve been scammed out of my money for what I got. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a simple haircut.

I’m very happy with my hair… that I’m back here at Lux Cut and Color with my husband. Michael is very talented!!! Very impressed!! Vivienne is also very nice and friendly. Definitely coming back!!!

I read the reviews and thought this would be a great salon.
The color was horrible. I usually get blonde highlights and lowlights. My hair looked black and the highlights actually looked silvery and gray. I was in tears and I had to go to another salon to have it fixed because it looked so awful.
Very disappointing. Would not recommend.

Michael is an amazing hair stylist. One of those few times when I have been to a salon and actually gotten what I asked for. Love my new highlights and cut! Definitely going back.

This is not a place to go for a women’s short hair cut. I’ve had short hair my entire life, and I’ve never been so offended. He cut my hair with clippers! Clippers are appropriate for men’s hair, not women’s. Additionally, the shop is huge, and there is only one stylist and one shampoo girl. They are friendly, but it seems odd the owner can’t work with or can’t find other staff for his shop.

Tran is wonderful! She is very freindly and listens to what you want. I went in with very long grown out hair and needed layers but didn’t want to lose length she did an excellent job! She recommended some «shadow» style highlights and I was reluctant at first since I like my hair dark but after talking with her went ahead. Very happy with the results she did an excellent job the color is perfect! I will definitely recommend Lux to my friends. Tran was excellent and the other staff very friendly as well. The salon itself is very clean and comfortable. Thanks Tran!

GREAT GREAT PLACE. I dont trust anyone else but Michael to do my hair. Prices are super affordable and the array of services are abundant. They do an amazing job on perms and ombré haircolors. Lin who is cute and sweet is super fast and very meticulous with my mani/​pedis. I bring all of my friends here.
